Chapter 758: Chapter 757: Oh My Precious Sweetheart

This can’t really be called stupid, just kind of silly, right?

Bella smiled and said, "Feelings are about mutual consent. If that girl doesn’t like your grandson, it won’t work no matter how much he tries. That can’t be called stupid."

"I say he’s stupid precisely because of this," the old man said. "I think that girl is quite interested in him too, but he’s so thick-headed he can’t even bring her home."

"Blessings belong to the younger generation, old man, just enjoy yourself and stop worrying about those things," Bella said. "What do you want to eat for lunch? We can go buy groceries later."

"Young Acker, aren’t you busy with work today?" The old man immediately forgot about his grandson’s issues when he heard Bella could stay for lunch.

"Mm, I get to rest for two days."

"Great, great, where’s your little girl? Can you bring her over to keep this old man company for a while?" The old man had only seen pictures of Talia and had been wanting to meet her.

"I’ll make a call and ask if she has violin class today." Bella took out her phone and dialed Sharon Cheney’s number.

"Hello, Bella, is there any progress with that online photo thing?" Sharon’s voice sounded quite anxious.

"Godmother, you don’t need to worry about that photo online. Did Talia go to violin class with Ethan today?"

"Ethan went, but Talia is at home," Sharon replied. "Are you still at the hotel? Should I bring Talia over?"

"You can take Talia out to play. But I’m not at the hotel; I’m in Serenity Condos on Serenity Road. Be careful when you head out; I’m worried there might be reporters at the condo entrance."

"Don’t worry, we’ll switch cars and leave through the underground garage at the back, they won’t know."

"Okay, call me when you arrive, and I’ll come downstairs to meet you."

After Bella hung up, the old man asked, "Young Acker, what’s this about a photo online? Are you having trouble at work?"

"It’s nothing, just some insignificant issues," Bella put away her phone and smiled. "Talia will be coming soon. It’s cold now, so let’s make some soup for lunch to warm up."

"Anything’s fine." The old man immediately stood up, "Oh dear, I haven’t prepared a gift for Talia, let’s go out and buy something."

"Old man, you took a fall, it’s better to rest at home than to go out shopping," Bella chuckled.

The old man immediately paused in his tracks. Oh, upon hearing that his lovely great-granddaughter was coming to visit, he was so overjoyed he forgot he was pretending to be a lonely, neglected old man who had taken a fall.

"Oh my, oh my, my old legs are aching," the old man clutched his thigh and groaned convincingly.

The bodyguard hiding outside on the balcony almost rushed in, thinking something was wrong, but luckily halted in time.

Bella looked at the old man and couldn’t help but laugh, feeling amused and a bit sorry that he had to fake being sick for company.

"Alright, stop pretending, aren’t you tired?" Bella laughed enough and said, "Let’s go, we’ll see if we can buy some old hens at the market."

"Hehe, Young Acker, you aren’t mad at me, are you?" The old man finally felt a little embarrassed, "By the way, tell me what’s going on online, and I’ll have my silly grandson help you handle it."
