Chapter 756: Chapter 755: Vicious Framing (9)

The old man kept shouting in pain, leaning against the stairs and sighing.

Bella Acker quickly ran forward, checked the stairs, and helped him up, "Old Master Sinclair, let’s go, I’ll take you to the hospital."

He had no ailments; if he got checked at the hospital without prior notice, he’d be exposed, wouldn’t he?

Old Master Sinclair immediately said, "Young Acker, I’m not going to the hospital."

Bella Acker frowned, "You fell so hard, what if you hurt your bones or internal organs? Let’s go, I’ll take you to the hospital."

"No! I’m not going!" The old man was just sitting on the ground, refusing to go to the hospital.

Although he’s in his seventies or eighties and not as sturdy as he used to be, he’s still six-feet tall.

What’s more, he wasn’t actually sick, and he was in good health. If he really wanted to stay there, Bella Acker couldn’t move him even if she tried, fearing she might pull on an injury, she didn’t dare use any force.

Bella Acker felt helpless, "Old Master Sinclair, why don’t you want to go to the hospital?"

"Because..." the old man thought quickly, "because I have no money."

This excuse was really...

The bodyguards hiding in the dark to protect him almost stumbled, especially one hiding above the stairs, who nearly rolled down.

If Old Master Sinclair didn’t have money, then who did? Honestly, he could at least come up with a better excuse.

"It’s okay, I brought money," Bella Acker persuaded, "I’ll take you to the hospital, and I’ll pay."

"No," the old man was very stubborn, "If you pay, I’ll have to repay you. I’m not going."

Bella Acker sighed, "Old Master Sinclair, you don’t have to pay me back. Now can you get up so I can take you to the hospital?"

"No," it was as if the floor had glue, the old man just wouldn’t move, "Young Acker, you work so hard for your money, I can’t waste it. Just help me back inside to sit for a while."

"Old Master Sinclair, the stairs are so long, falling from the top and not getting checked isn’t right." If she could carry him, Bella Acker probably would have just carried him to the car and off to the hospital by now.

"Huh?" The old man looked back at the stairs in the corridor and thought quickly, "Young Acker, I didn’t fall from up there."

Bella Acker was stunned, then saw the old man pointing to the step he was sitting on, continuing, "I fell from here."

So he didn’t tumble down the stairs but just fell on his butt?

Bella Acker sighed with relief, though somewhat helplessly.

Seeing the old man’s somewhat embarrassed expression, Bella Acker realized he probably wasn’t hurt; he was just lonely and wanted some company.

Bella Acker said, "It’s so cold outside, and you just sat here waiting for me to come over?"

"Yes," the old man nodded.

Bella Acker sighed helplessly, "Come on, it’s cold outside, let me help you back inside."

"Okay," this time, the old man stood up very cooperatively.

Bella Acker supported him upstairs, asking along the way, "Old Master Sinclair, have you had breakfast yet?"

"I have... not yet."

Bella Acker looked at him, "Really, did you eat or not?"

"Didn’t eat," the old man confirmed emphatically.

Seeing him act so childishly, Bella Acker couldn’t help but find it amusing, "Is there any noodles at home? I’ll cook some for you."

The old man’s eyes darted around, glancing at the next floor up, "There are... or are there... not?"
