Chapter 912: The Realm of Ice Elves (11)
A massive ice wyrm appeared from the mist, charging toward Luna with fangs bared. Luna cast Mirror Image, creating duplicates of herself that darted through the fray. The wyrm snapped at the illusions, but Luna herself was nowhere to be seen. As the wyrm turned toward the real Luna, she unleashed Nightmare Bolt, the powerful blast of energy shattering the creature’s icy hide and reducing it to nothing but fragments.
The party was relentless. Each member moved in perfect synchronization, their abilities complementing each other in a seamless display of power and strategy. They fought as one, using their strengths to prevent the revenants from overwhelming them. With every fallen foe, more emerged from the ground, but the party held their ground, refusing to yield in the frozen ravine. The battle was far from over, but they were ready to face whatever horrors awaited.
The battle had already grown chaotic, the frost of the ravine stinging against their skin and the oncoming enemies relentless. But now, from the depths of the icy chasm, emerged the Glacial Colossus—a towering behemoth of jagged ice and snow, its massive form blocking the way forward, its towering arms swinging like glaciers through the storm. It roared, its voice like the rumbling of an avalanche, sending tremors through the ground beneath the party’s feet. The ice elves had retreated to the sides, awaiting the colossal battle that was about to unfold.
The party of six steeled themselves, bracing for the brutal fight ahead. The moment they saw the colossus’ massive hands swinging toward them, they knew their coordination would be tested like never before.
Orion’s eyes blazed with intensity, his veins glowing with crimson power. His massive form, now rippling with Blood Manipulation, was ready to engage. As the Glacial Colossus took its first step toward them, the ground shook beneath Orion’s feet. He planted his feet firmly, his gauntlet-wrapped fists glowing with blood-forged energy.
The colossus swung its colossal fist, aiming for Orion’s head. With a burst of speed, Orion dodged to the side, his Battlefield Mastery allowing him to predict the swing with deadly accuracy. As the fist slammed into the ice where he had just stood, a shockwave of ice and snow erupted, sending shards flying. Orion barely dodged the debris, but he remained unscathed.
Seizing the moment, he charged toward the colossus, his Blood Sacrifice manifesting as tendrils of crimson that lashed out to grab hold of the creature’s massive form. His tendrils dug deep into the colossus’s icy skin, embedding themselves like hooks. With a roar, Orion pulled, redirecting the colossus’s momentum just enough to prevent it from crushing him. As he pulled himself up its side with the tendrils, he raised his blood-imbued blade high, preparing to strike its massive arm.
When he reached the arm, he slammed his blade into the colossus’s thick ice armor. The blade shattered a large section of its arm, causing cracks to spread like veins of blood through the frozen surface. A blast of cold energy surged from the wound, but Orion was undeterred, swinging his blade again with all his might, his blood magic fueling each strike.
Findir darted to the side with a blur of motion, using his Wind Manipulation to stay light on his feet. His daggers gleamed in his hands, now coated with Void Dagger Coating. He had no intention of facing the colossus head-on—he was too quick and agile for that.
As the colossus swung its massive fist down upon him, Findir activated Haste, becoming a blur as he sped around the colossus, striking at the vulnerable joints where the ice seemed weaker. With every movement, he was a streak of shadow, diving in to strike and retreat before the colossus could retaliate. His daggers slashed across the colossus’s knee joint, the Void Dagger Coating leaving black streaks across the icy surface.
When the colossus attempted to stomp on him with a massive foot, Findir leapt into the air, using Silent Flight to glide over the attack. He landed behind the colossus, using Eagle Eye to find a weak point in the creature’s spine. He threw one of his daggers with pinpoint precision, embedding it deep into the joint between the colossus’s back and shoulder. The strike caused a burst of black energy, shattering part of its armor and sending a shockwave of frost outward. He immediately followed up with a second dagger, aimed at the base of its skull, but the colossus roared and shook its head violently, narrowly avoiding the strike.
Findir vanished again, reappearing only when he saw an opening. His quick movements allowed him to exploit every crack in the colossus’s armor, but he knew he couldn’t take it down alone.
Cy stood firm, his massive form unshaken by the ice and wind that whipped around them. His Armor of the Abyss pulsed with shadowy energy, making him the perfect frontline fighter. As the Glacial Colossus raised its fist to crush him, Cy moved in a blur, activating Wave of Darkness. The shockwave of shadow energy collided with the colossus’s incoming fist, slowing it just enough for Cy to avoid the full brunt of the blow.
With the colossus slightly off-balance, Cy surged forward, his Abyssal Shield raised high to absorb any incoming strikes. He slammed the shield into the colossus’s midsection, the dark energy from the shield crackling through the air. It was as if Cy had become an extension of the Abyss itself, a force of nature that was impossible to push back.
The colossus retaliated with a sweeping ice-covered arm, but Cy sidestepped, using his spear to deflect the attack. He took advantage of the opening, jabbing his spear into the colossus’s side, piercing through the ice like it was paper. A burst of shadow energy flooded the wound, destabilizing the colossus’s form for a brief moment, causing cracks to form around the impact zone.
Cy wasn’t done yet. With a bellow, he activated Empower, augmenting his strength to its limits. His next thrust sent the spear deep into the colossus’s chest, and he twisted the spear, expanding the shadowy tendrils of energy within the wound, causing the colossus to stagger. But the beast was far from defeated, its massive limbs swinging with terrifying power.
Bella was an inferno incarnate, her Flame Shield blazing with the intensity of a dying star. The Glacial Colossus towered over her, but she didn’t falter. When the colossus raised one of its massive fists, she smirked, casting Summon: Fire Spirits. The flames of her spirits danced around her, ready to engage.
As the colossus slammed its fist toward her, Bella stood her ground, summoning a Wall of Flame just in time. The ice-cold fist collided with the fiery barrier, hissing with steam as the heat of Bella’s magic met the icy might of the colossus. The force of the blow pushed her back, but Bella was prepared. She activated Will of Flames, enhancing her fire magic to an unbearable level.
With a single swipe of her staff, a massive Fireball erupted, hurling toward the colossus’s head. It exploded on impact, sending waves of fire cascading over the creature’s icy form. The fire melted sections of the ice, exposing its crystalline innards. Bella used this opportunity to command her Fire Spirits to attack, the spirits diving into the exposed wounds, their fiery forms burning with unstoppable fury.
The colossus staggered, but it was far from defeated. It swung its massive arms in an attempt to crush Bella, but she evaded the blows, her flame-cloaked form twisting and dodging with terrifying precision. Each evasion sent ripples of heat through the air, her spirits lashing out at every vulnerable spot.
Aisa moved like a wisp, her form shimmering with the ethereal glow of Ghost Armor. As the colossus loomed over her, she used Ghost Step to phase in and out of existence, making her nearly untouchable. When one of the colossus’s massive fists came crashing down toward her, she phased through it, reappearing just behind the colossal creature.
Aisa’s daggers gleamed as she activated High Ghostly Presence, her form becoming semi-transparent and untouchable. She leapt onto the colossus’s back, her daggers flashing as she struck its neck, targeting the weak points in its frozen armor. The colossus roared in frustration, trying to shake her off, but Aisa’s strikes were quick and precise. She danced around its attacks, her form flickering with each movement, constantly staying one step ahead of its devastating swings.
When the colossus attempted to grab her, Aisa phased through its hands, appearing once again in a flash. She delivered a series of rapid strikes to its spine, each one weakening the colossus further.
Luna, surrounded by her illusions, raised her staff high. Her Nightmare Projection swirled around the battlefield, distorting reality. The colossus’s movements were suddenly erratic as it was assaulted by a cacophony of nightmarish visions, its hollow eyes wide with fear.
Luna’s Illusory Magic twisted the colossus’s perception of reality, making it swing at shadows and miss its intended targets. When a massive foot came down toward Luna, she cast Mirror Image, duplicating herself to confuse the colossus even further. Its colossal feet stomped on the illusions, but Luna, in her true form, stood untouched.
