Chapter 1426: Chapter 605: Metamorphosis Record (Part 3)

"Hmm." The Lake Fairy thought for a moment and could only nod in agreement with Laine’s perspective: "There are many problems with the large number of immigrants, but we can’t deal with all of them right now. Overall, this thing is more beneficial than harmful, it’s good that you’ve thought it through."

"It’s better than leaving all of Musillon empty." Laine could only say helplessly: "Musillon has been struggling for so many years, and now there’s roughly only 120,000 people left. Even if we add the old territory population that’s been ceded now, it’s just about 250,000, while Musillon can accommodate a population of one million."

"Leonais originally had a population of 800,000, but now there’s less than 400,000 left." The Lake Fairy rolled her eyes at Laine: "Don’t complain to me here after you’ve got the benefits."

Although the Goddess gave Laine a side-eye, because she used Surya’s body, the side-eye from the female knight was rather rare. As the daughter of the Great Noble, Surya almost never makes such expressions, instead giving Laine a different kind of feeling. He smiled: "My lady, how was the previous proposal?"

"This is Charlemagne’s city, not my territory, so I should keep a low profile here." The Lake Fairy thought for a moment and still shook her head. Brittania is her territory, but Brunswick is not.

"Then shall we go shopping on the commercial street?" Laine thought for a moment and then proposed: "Whatever catches your eye, I’ll buy it for you. Buy whatever you want?"

"That’s fine too." The Lake Fairy thought for a moment with great interest and said sweetly: "Last time you and Surya and the others came to Brunswick, you also went shopping together and bought a lot of things. Actually, human products are not as fine as those of the High Elves, and not as practical as those of the Dwarves. I don’t particularly want to buy anything."

"Shall we visit the Imperial Royal Zoo?" Laine thought this goddess is a bit hard to please, so the Duke could only continue to ask: "Last time, when we came to Brunswick with Tygris, you said you wanted to visit, but because of that incident, we had to leave quickly after we got the things."

The incident referred to is the kidnapping of Archbishop Vicma and stealing things from within the Holy Relic Hall. That incident was considered a great humiliation by Archbishop Vicma, but the Justice Church did not publicize it.

"Let’s shop first, and accompany me to the zoo tomorrow." The Lake Fairy pointed a finger, clad in a white lace glove, at Laine’s forehead: "Don’t miss anything!"

"Alright, today I’ll listen to you." Laine said nothing more, and the person and the goddess exchanged a smile.

So, during the Winter Festival holiday, Laine accompanied his wife, along with a certain goddess hiding within Surya’s body, to shop on the Brunswick commercial street. The goddess was interested in everything and wanted to buy a bit of everything, purchasing dozens of bags, packed into two wooden boxes before stopping.

After a large shopping spree, they returned to the Royal Hotel, where Ollica and Sylvia came out to welcome them and prepare lunch.

For some reason, Laine felt Sylvia’s state was a bit strange. The Head Maid, who used to always strive for perfection, had unsteady steps and looked pale, but Ollica quickly leaned on his back and asked him what he wanted for lunch, so he didn’t think much of it.

Amelia slept until it was almost noon before waking up. The Empire Countess had just woken up when her son, Little Frederick, burst into the room: "Mom! Mom! Look, Godfather and Godmother gave me this!"

"Huh?" Amelia looked closely: "What is this?"

Little Frederick was holding a brown little rabbit with light brown fur, plush and very cute. Two long brown ears stood upright as Little Frederick held it in his arms. The little boy cherished this little rabbit very much: "This is the little rabbit Godfather gave me. Mom, do you think it’s cute?"

"Oh, it’s really cute!" Amelia smiled as she petted the rabbit’s head: "What’s its name?"

"It doesn’t have a name, Mom. Would you name it for me?"

"Then let’s call it Amia!"
