Chapter 594: Chapter 594: Divine Beast’s Revenge

Cloud Island. The Long Family’s main hall.

"Patriarch Long, I want to ask you something. Have you ever heard of Divine Island?"

Divine Island?

At the mention of Divine Island, Long Bai’s expression changed. "Sect Leader Long," he asked, "how do you know of Divine Island?"

Long Ao held nothing back, explaining what had happened between him and Wang Hao. After listening, Long Bai heaved a deep sigh of relief. Regardless of the circumstances, what became of Wang Hao was good news for the Long Family.

Long Bai nodded. "Of course I know of Divine Island. As someone from the Outer Sea, I believe almost everyone here knows about it."

Sure enough.

Joy sparked in Long Ao’s heart. It seemed the Divine Island that Wang Hao had mentioned was real. This only fueled his curiosity, making him want to know what exactly Divine Island was.

As if sensing Long Ao’s eagerness, Long Bai immediately explained, "Sect Leader Long, Divine Island is hailed as the number one power in the Outer Sea. It controls this entire expanse of ocean. Its strength is terrifying. According to legend, Divine Island alone has no fewer than a hundred Divine Dao Martial Artists."

COUGH, COUGH.

Hearing Long Bai’s words, Long Ao almost choked. He knew very well what a hundred Divine Dao Martial Artists represented.

Long Ao knew that for Divine Island to become the number one power in the Outer Sea, it had to be anything but simple.

"Sect Leader Long, are you planning to go to Divine Island?"

Waving his hand, Long Ao said, "In ten days, I plan to leave Cloud Island. But I won’t be going to Divine Island; I’ll be returning to Kyushu."

Long Ao wasn’t one to go looking for trouble. ’I’m just a traveler passing through the Outer Sea,’ he thought. ’If it weren’t for Long Heng, I would have left long ago.’ He had no intention of stirring up more trouble. The Four Great Forces were already enough of a headache.

Long Ao didn’t say any more. For the next ten days, he continuously taught Long Heng the Alchemy Dao and the Cultivation Dao.

「Ten days later.」

As Long Heng and the others watched him go, Long Ao departed from Cloud Island alone by boat, setting out to return to Kyushu.

The Outer Sea was boundless. No one knew just how vast it was, not even Divine Dao Martial Artists.

Long Ao didn’t know how vast the Outer Sea was either. According to the map Long Bai had given him, if he sailed along this route, he should be able to return to Kyushu in about a month.

One month.

One month might not seem like much to a Martial Artist, but sailing across the Outer Sea for an entire month straight was a daunting prospect.

Shrugging helplessly, Long Ao sat quietly on the deck, comprehending the Chaos Stele within his body.

He recalled his battle against Wang Hao. If his Cultivation hadn’t broken through to the Saint realm at that critical moment, he would have been lucky to survive, let alone severely injure his opponent.

「Inside the Dragon Seal Space.」

Long Ao couldn’t figure it out, so he had no choice but to ask Long Fu. He got straight to the point. "Long Fu, you must be aware of what happened. I have to ask, why couldn’t I use the Chaos Stele back then?"

"Master, it’s actually quite simple. Although the Chaos Stele has acknowledged you, you still haven’t fully fused with it. Therefore, if you want to use the Chaos Stele, it first depends on the Chaos Stele’s mood."

’Depend on the Chaos Stele’s mood?’

Hearing Long Fu’s explanation, Long Ao felt frustrated to no end. ’So, in other words,’ he thought, ’if I want to use the Chaos Stele against an enemy, I first have to check if it’s in a good mood. If it is, I can use it freely. If not, then too bad, the Chaos Stele won’t even give me the time of day.’

Long Ao didn’t press the matter. He figured this kind of ridiculous, pain-in-the-ass situation was something only he would ever run into.

He didn’t dwell on the Chaos Stele issue any longer. According to Long Fu, as long as he could completely fuse with the Chaos Stele, he could use it whenever he wanted.

Gazing out at the vast, endless sea, Long Ao felt his mind reach a state of unprecedented calm, as if he were a tiny fish in the great ocean.

Gradually, Long Ao drifted into a wondrous state. In this place, there was no brutal competition, no scheming and backstabbing—it was like a secluded paradise.

「Inside the Dragon Seal Space.」

Sensing his master had entered a state of profound comprehension, Long Fu grew very excited. He muttered to himself, "Master has finally achieved enlightenment. I believe this time, it will bring about a fundamental transformation in him."

This was the first time Long Ao had watched the sea with such a calm and peaceful heart, so he instantly entered a state of sudden enlightenment.

For any Martial Artist, a sudden enlightenment was an incredibly rare opportunity. Each one brought a great leap forward in one’s Cultivation. Since the start of his journey, this was only the second time Long Ao had experienced such a state. It was easy to imagine just how significant this was for a Martial Artist.

This sudden enlightenment lasted for a full three days.

His eyes snapped open. Long Ao stood up and gave a long, satisfying stretch, his heart filled with a mix of shock and joy. In this state of enlightenment, his Realm hadn’t advanced at all; he was still what one would call a Basic Level Saint.

And yet, this enlightenment left Long Ao absolutely thrilled.

This enlightenment had allowed Long Ao to completely merge with nature. Without him even realizing it, his Spatial Teleportation had improved, its range jumping from 150 meters to 1,500. A tenfold increase—what did that even mean?

Not only that, but while his Realm hadn’t advanced, everything else had. For Long Ao, this was the kind of blessing one could only wish for but never actively seek.

BOOM.

Long Ao had just come out of his enlightenment and hadn’t even had a moment to savor his joy when the sea began to churn violently. Monstrous waves surged, one after another, rolling in with terrifying force.

Long Ao was startled. He knew this was no simple natural phenomenon. If he wasn’t mistaken, a powerful Holy Beast had to be stirring up trouble in the depths. ’What rotten luck,’ he thought, ’to run into something like this out of nowhere.’

"Grandpa, that’s the shameless human who hurt me! You have to get revenge for me!"

Seeing the Golden Tiger Shark that had suddenly appeared, Long Ao instantly understood. Clearly, the creature had brought backup.

’Grandpa?’

’The Golden Tiger Shark is already a First Level Holy Beast. Does that mean the grandfather it brought back is a Second Level Holy Beast? Or maybe even a Third Level Holy Beast?’

But in the next instant, Long Ao’s expression changed drastically. A Golden Tiger Shark the size of a small mountain had appeared before him. Its size was one thing, but Long Ao could clearly sense that this creature was no Holy Beast, nor was it a Great Emperor Spirit Beast. It was a genuine Divine Beast.

That’s right, it was a Divine Beast.

Long Ao would never have imagined the Golden Tiger Shark would bring a Divine Beast to seek revenge on him. ’What a joke,’ he thought. Even with his confidence, trying to fight a Divine Beast was a lost cause from the start.

Long Ao knew his own limits. Without a moment’s hesitation, he abandoned the boat and fled.
