War God Long Ao
Chapter 550: Kneel and Confess
Chapter 550: Chapter 550: Kneel and Confess
Long Ao sat quietly in his room, regulating his breathing and focusing on his recovery.
Just as Long Fu had said, his injuries this time were too severe. Recovering would not be an easy task.
While healing, Long Ao focused his entire being on comprehending the Chaos Stele, hoping to grasp the supremely powerful Martial Arts within it as soon as possible.
「Three hours later.」
"Long Heng, get the hell out here if you have any guts."
"Long Heng, you coward."
BANG! The main door was kicked open again. Long Ling walked in with a young man who looked to be in his thirties, both of them furious and radiating Killing Intent.
The backup Long Ling had brought this time was his biological older brother, Long Fan. A High Level Supreme Venerable and the third son of the family, he was a renowned figure within the Long Family.
Unlike Long Ling, Long Fan was extremely vicious and ruthless. He showed no mercy, especially toward his enemies.
Long Ling had sought out Long Fan this time specifically to teach Long Heng a lesson. Otherwise, he would never be able to swallow the bitter anger in his heart.
"Long Heng, weren’t you acting all high and mighty just now? Why are you hiding in your shell like a turtle?"
Staring at the two men before him, Long Heng’s face became incredibly grim. If it were just Long Ling, he was confident he could win. But against Long Fan, he had no confidence at all.
After all, the gap between a Venerable and a Supreme Venerable was simply too vast.
"Fourth Brother, you’ve gone too far."
"Third Brother."
Waving a hand dismissively, Long Fan sneered, "Look at you, so powerful now. How could I be your Third Brother? With that attitude, you ought to be *my* elder brother."
’He’s deliberately looking for trouble.’
Long Heng knew exactly why Long Fan and Long Ling were here. It was the classic case of "beat up the little brother, and the big brother comes running."
Long Fan clearly looked displeased. He stared at Long Heng with arrogant indifference and suddenly said, "Fourth Brother, seeing as we are, after all, brothers, I’ll give you a chance this time."
Long Heng was very curious, not knowing what Long Fan meant by that.
"Fourth Brother, as long as you kneel, kowtow, and admit your mistake, the grudge between you two will be written off. I won’t pursue the matter further. How about it?"
Shameless. Relying on his power as a Supreme Venerable, Long Fan didn’t give Long Heng a shred of respect. In truth, both he and Long Ling had always been jealous of the man Long Heng used to be, and now they just wanted to crush him in return.
"Third Brother."
"Third Brother, my ass! Long Heng, are you even a Martial Artist? Seeing you like this, I truly regret taking you as my disciple."
Watching his master walk out of the room, Long Heng lowered his head in shame, but he felt powerless. Deep down, he was terrified of his Third Brother. The other man was a Supreme Venerable, while he was only a Venerable. They weren’t even in the same league.
Long Heng and Long Ao’s circumstances were very similar, but they were completely different in one respect: Long Ao was much stronger-willed and had far more self-respect.
Understanding this new disciple of his, Long Ao sighed helplessly.
"What the hell are you? Third Brother, it’s this piece of trash! He’s the one who egged Long Heng on to beat me just now! Third Brother, you have to get revenge for me!"
There is a special kind of hatred reserved for when enemies meet face-to-face. Having just been beaten up by Long Heng, Long Ling knew with certainty that it was all thanks to this man. Otherwise, even if Long Heng had ten thousand times the courage, he never would have dared to attack, let alone beat him to a pulp.
"Who might you be, sir? Are you Fourth Brother’s master?"
Hearing that this man was Fourth Brother’s master, Long Fan was quite surprised. He had to admit he was much calmer than Long Ling. One had to understand: even if his Fourth Brother was useless, he was still a genuine Venerable. One could only imagine what kind of person it would take to become the master of a Venerable.
But Long Fan could clearly sense that the man’s presence was not strong at all; he was even seriously injured. This made him even more curious. Why would Fourth Brother take such a good-for-nothing as his master?
’A good-for-nothing taking another good-for-nothing as his master?’
’Does combining two good-for-nothings somehow make them not good-for-nothings?’
"Third Brother, this is my master, Long Ao. He’s from the Sixth Level Long Family of Kyushu."
"A Sixth Level Long Family? HAHAHAHA! Fourth Brother, you... you’re killing me! A Sixth Level Long Family! To think it’s actually a Sixth Level Long Family."
Hearing that Long Ao was from a Sixth Level Long Family, both Long Fan and Long Ling burst into wild laughter, as if they had just heard the most ridiculous thing in the world.
As everyone knew, the Long Clan was divided into nine major Levels: the Ninth Level Long Family, Eighth Level Long Family, Seventh Level Long Family, Sixth Level Long Family, Fifth Level Long Family, Fourth Level Long Family, Third Level Long Family, Second Level Long Family, and First Level Long Family.
The Long Clan’s hierarchy was strict. The Cloud Island Long Family was a Fourth Level family, far surpassing a Sixth Level Long Family. That was why the two of them reacted with such mockery and contempt upon hearing that Long Ao was from a Sixth Level Long Family.
"Third Brother."
"Shut up, Long Heng! I already told you, I am not your Third Brother. If you dare call me that again, I’ll cut out your tongue."
Ignoring Long Heng, Long Fan sneered and said, "So, an expert from a Sixth Level Long Family. Forgive my lack of respect. Sir Long Ao, I’d like to ask: since you are a disciple of the Kyushu Long Family, why have you come all this way to our Outer Sea Cloud Island? Are you perhaps plotting something?"
’He’s trying to frame me.’
Long Ao was, of course, perfectly aware of Long Fan’s insidious nature, but he paid the two of them no mind.
Shaking his head helplessly, Long Ao suddenly said, "You can’t prop up mud on a wall. It’s better not to have a disciple like this."
Hearing this, Long Heng was stunned. Before Long Ao could finish speaking, he immediately said, "Master, I know what to do."
Abruptly turning around, Long Heng stared at the two before him and said coldly, "Since you don’t consider me a brother, then please see yourselves out."
"Hmph. Long Heng, I give you an inch and you take a mile. Do you think finding a good-for-nothing master will let you soar to the heavens? Let me tell you straight: stop dreaming."
"Third Brother, why waste your breath on this loser? Just cripple him. Afterward, we can go to Father and the Patriarch and claim that Long Heng brought an outsider into the family with ill intentions. Hmph, hmph. We’ll see how Long Heng dies then."
"Long Heng, I’ll give you one last chance. Kneel and admit your mistake, and I’ll spare your life."
Completely ignoring Long Ao, Long Fan stared coldly at Long Heng as his powerful aura pressed down hard. Before a Supreme Venerable, a Venerable was nothing more than trash.
Not daring to be the least bit careless, Long Heng immediately released his own aura to resist the other’s suppression. But there was no doubt that a Venerable and a Supreme Venerable were not on the same level; the two simply couldn’t be compared.
Just when Long Fan was certain of his victory, a terrifying presence suddenly erupted from Long Heng’s body, lashing back at him and making him jump in shock.
"Impossible."
Long Fan simply couldn’t understand how a mere Venerable could possess such a powerful presence.
