Chapter 3731: Tracking Him Down Across The Immortal Realm

Lin Mu wondered what was so important that she had come all the way here herself.

He no longer concealed himself and flew openly toward the fleet.

The moment he approached within range the reaction was immediate.

Buzz!

Formation arrays lit up across the ships and the energy grew.

Several immortal cannons emerged from hidden compartments and pointed directly at him.

Protective arrays activated one after another.

Voices rang out across the fleet.

"Intruder detected!"

"All men at arms!"

"Unknown immortal approaching!"

"Prepare defensive formations!"

Figures began appearing on deck after deck.

Immortal guards gathered rapidly while weapon arrays hummed with energy.

Many looked confused.

A lone man standing openly in outer space was strange enough already.But the fact that he appeared from empty space without a vessel made it even more suspicious. Lin Mu simply stopped and hovered calmly.

He had no intention of letting them mistake him for an enemy.

A minute later movement appeared upon the central flagship.

The doors of the main hall opened.

A familiar figure stepped out.

Lady Kang herself emerged onto the deck.

She had likely come personally to inspect the commotion.

And she was not alone.

Standing beside her was Min Ju.

Lin Mu looked around briefly but did not see Elder Hu accompanying them.

His attention returned to Lady Kang.

The moment her eyes landed on him her expression changed.

A smile appeared on her face instantly.

She immediately raised her hand.

"Everyone at ease!" her voice spread across the fleet. "This is the person we were looking for!"

The tension immediately vanished.

The cannons powered down.

The guards relaxed.

The formation arrays dimmed.

Lin Mu finally moved again and flew toward the flagship.

A short while later he landed lightly upon the deck.

He stood face to face with Lady Kang once more after years.

She still looked as beautiful as ever.

And somehow...

Even more striking than before.

Lin Mu could not understand how it was possible.

She wore flowing purple robes layered in elegant folds that carried subtle star like patterns upon them. Countless accessories adorned her body.

Bracelets.

Hairpins.

Neck ornaments.

Rings.

Chains woven into her braid.

Each one radiated immortal fluctuations.

She was practically covered in immortal tools from head to toe.

Her long hair was partially braided while the remaining locks flowed freely behind her. Several jeweled ornaments decorated the braid itself.

Min Ju stood quietly beside her looking equally relieved and mildly annoyed.

Lady Kang looked at Lin Mu for several moments.

Then she finally spoke.

"You are a hard man to track down, Lin Mu."

There was clear frustration hidden beneath her voice.

Lady Kang simply looked at him for another second before turning around.

"Come." She spoke calmly.

Lin Mu followed after her while Min Ju stayed close behind.

Though as they walked through the corridors of the flagship, Lin Mu could constantly feel Min Ju’s gaze upon him.

Every time he looked back, the maid immediately looked away.

A few seconds later she looked again.

Lin Mu could only give an awkward smile.

He was fairly certain both of them were at least a little upset.

The three entered a private hall inside the flagship. Compared to the outer decks, this place was much quieter. Purple drapes hung along the walls while several spirit lamps illuminated the room with a soft glow. A low table stood in the center already prepared with tea and refreshments.

Lady Kang took her seat first.

Min Ju stood behind her.

Lin Mu sat opposite them.

The moment he settled down he asked the question that had been on his mind.

"How did you find me?"

Lady Kang picked up her cup calmly.

"Since all attempts to contact you failed, I decided to find you myself."

Lin Mu nodded.

He expected as much.

Lady Kang continued.

"I simply used the Divine Mystic Constellation Art."

Lin Mu raised a brow.

"Specifically..." she said while taking a sip. "Pyxis."

Lin Mu finally understood.

’Of course.’

It all made sense now.

They had never tracked Mantleheim.

They had tracked him.

Pyxis specialized in finding and guiding. Given enough time it could even locate unknown things, much less someone Lady Kang knew well.

And Lin Mu was certainly not unknown to her.

It was no wonder she managed to find him despite him hiding in one of the most isolated regions of the Immortal Realm.

Before he could say anything though, Lady Kang put down her cup.

Then she began speaking.

Or rather...

Scolding.

"Do you know how many messages I sent?"

Lin Mu opened his mouth.

She continued.

"Do you know how many worlds we checked?"

Lin Mu closed it again.

"You disappear for years."

Lin Mu tried again.

"I was..."

"No replies."

Lin Mu stopped.

"No updates."

Min Ju nodded behind her.

"No clues."

Min Ju nodded again.

Lin Mu simply sat there.

Lady Kang continued for several more minutes.

The topic shifted from communication to responsibility.

Then to how difficult he was to find.

Then somehow reached the point of how she had personally come here only to discover him casually living among some asteroids for some reason.

Lin Mu did not get a chance to reply even once.

Finally she stopped.

The room became quiet.

Lin Mu carefully spoke.

"I was probably too isolated here."

Lady Kang sighed.

"I somewhat expected that." She admitted. "Still... to think you ended up in a place this isolated."

Lin Mu smiled faintly.

She looked at him again.

"What exactly are you doing here?"

"And are you alone?"

Lin Mu shook his head.

"There are others with me."

Lady Kang seemed interested immediately.

"Daoist Chu is here." Lin Mu said first. "There are also several new companions."

Lady Kang nodded slowly.

She already knew some things from the Silent Lotus World reports. News had naturally reached the Kang Clan and she had been updated on everything.

Though hearing it directly still interested her.

Lin Mu thought briefly.

"I can bring you there."
