Chapter 447: Inconceivable!

Belladonna closed her eyes as her vision blurred and doubled, her stomach churning as the entire thing just made her want to puke, while the Plague Lord slowly climbed to his feet and let out another chittering laugh.

"You think you are better than me? I am Plague. I am Destruction! I consume all! All of the toxins, I combined into one. More than enough to kill the likes of you!

What will your healing do for you? The fire will not burn it out, you are doomed!" The Plague Lord rumbled, standing above Belladonna with his head held high, proud of himself for accomplishing such a feat and proving his natural supremacy.

He was enjoying the grunting noises she was making, and the pain on her face as her body tried to fight against it.

He just couldn’t help but bask in the glory of it all. This is why he evolved. This is why he rose up from a mindless, pathetic zombie to something with intelligence and cunning. This is what it was all about! His glory!

"Feel your flesh rot, your blood boil. Best of all, you can do nothing to fight it. The best ingredient in my venom is..." He cackled triumphantly, before Belladonna interrupted him.

"Vokan Spider Toxin." She muttered through gritted teeth.

"Yes. You know it?" The Plague Lord grinned. Of course she knew it. The Vokan Spider injected its venom into its victims, keeping them alive for days on end without need of food, water or rest. In fact the venom would force the victim to stay awake, unable to move as the Spider slowly devoured them over the course of weeks.

It was a fate that many dreaded, its reputation spread far and wide as one of the most horrific ways to die. Whilst here it would not be the same, it would leave the his victims unable to move and helpless to the ways he wanted to toy with them, or simply forced to remain as his venom consumed them from within.

He wanted to see the terror in her eyes, the fear in her voice as she realised her doomed fate. Her body would make for a wonderful Brood Hive, and he would make sure that she stayed alive for as long as possible to make up for what she did.

However fear was not what he got. Instead Belladonna smirked and let out a low laugh.

"Oh yes... I know it very well."

She should have been paralysed. She should have been helpless and begging him for mercy. So how was she instead driving her fist into his jaw and shattering it like glass?

The Plague Lord launched from the ruins of the shop, smashing through half a dozen walls before coming to a shop half way through the seventh.

Half of his jaw hung loose, its insides shattered to dust, as blood mixed with the drooling spittle that dripped from his mouth.

His eyes widened in sheer horror as Belladonna appeared in front of him again. Not moving through the shadows this time, but simply by her raw speed as she was already in the motions of another punch.

Her fist slammed into the wall, exploding it in an instant and turning it into a hellstorm of wooden splinters.

Belladonna frowned, glancing around as the Plague Lord simply vanished, replaced by hundreds of skittering and buzzing insects that ran or flew passed her, before a giant stinger came at her from behind.

She caught the stinger, snapping it with a twist of the wrist and turned to see the Plague Lord stumbling back as the last insects clumped together and formed into his leg once again to finish his form.

When she launched the stinger in her hand, and when she went for the next follow up punches, he did the same again. His body dissolved into a swarm of insects that, no matter how many she crushed to paste, so long as one existed it would always reform into his whole body.

The remaining insects would simply spew out a thick black sludge that would make up for the loss of body mass.

It was really starting to piss her off. So when he turned tail, literally, and tried to fly off, Belladonna found a lot of enjoyment in catching his buzzing wings and ripping them right off of his back. But the moment she went for a killing blow, he did it again.

She grumbled as she watched the pile of creepy crawlies pull themselves together and allow their flesh to melt and reform into the wretched Plague Lord.

Yet even despite all of her frustration, Belladonna couldn’t help but smirk and laugh.

The Plague Lord scowled deeply, his remaining mandible shaking as he let out a low clicking growl before screeching at her and shouting,

"Why do you laugh at me? You cannot touch me, I am your doom! Give up now, and you will live!"

"Oh I’m not laughing at you." Belladonna said with another chuckle, which only made the Plague Lord let out another frustrated screech.

"I’m laughing at him." She smirked, pointing over his shoulder.

He didn’t get the chance to turn before a flaming, two handed hammer smashed into the back of his head and drove him face first into the dirt.

"Bad Bug!" Mac yelled at the top of his lungs, as his massive form crashed into the ground next to his victim.

The young orc had turned into a hulking behemoth. Growing an extra two foot tall, and nearly twice as wide as he became a bulging mass of rage and muscles, his veins squirming like snakes underneath his taut skin that still somehow hadn’t torn from the sudden muscle growth.

The two handed Maul in his hand was like a children’s toy, which was exactly how he used it, as he repeatedly smashed the Plague Lord over and over, as if he was bashing it with a rolled up newspaper.

As for Belladonna, she simply stood to the side with a sly smirk, her eyes glowing with a faint trickle of power as she watched and waited.

Just like before, when the Plague Lord got his wits about him and wasn’t being crushed by a flaming meat tenderiser, his body burst into a miniature swarm of insects.

Centipedes, cockroaches, spiders, wasps, flies, and more. All of them exploded from his body and darted in different directions, and in that same moment Belladonna lunged forwards.

She snatched a small beetle from the ground and lifted it up to her eye-level. It’s little legs squirmed in the air as it desperately tried to escape, but all Belladonna could see was the glow of the Plague Lords source that was completely contained within this singular bug.

It was the first time that a Source was crunchy, instead of just melting in her mouth.
