Chapter 866 - 867 – Grey – Part 15.

The dragons were not holding back at all.

They were not looking down on their opponents nor they were trying to save up their energy.

They were aiming to get rid of their opponents at any cost.

Orion, Litle Maniac and Tail obviously were not holding back either…. However.

(Damn! They are strong!) – thought the trio.

The were fighting a total of 18 dragons all at once.

They have managed to quickly get rid of 12 dragons with ease, so what was the problem this time?

Their strength.

The remaining members of the traitorous royal family of the Kai'ku'dan clan were the strongest members of the entire clan.

They were not only able to take a hit and still stand, but they were also able to attack back, unleashing devasting attacks.

"Tch."

(Annoying.) – thought Oron as the dragons weren't letting give him a chance to fire even a single spot as they unleashed non stop bombarded at him, even unleashing an attacks with tracking function in order to prevent him from using any shadow skills.

(They are extremely wary of me.) – thought Oron as he used on of the pillars as platforms, bouncing off it and dodging several attacks, which gave Oron an opening to quickly fire off a barrage of crossbow bolts which struck the two twin cyborg dragons, dealing a good amount of damage… But not enough to knock them enough from the fight.

"DON'T YOU DARE TO TOUCH THEM!" – shouted the Gurion as he rushed in with his massive cyborg dragon body and swung down its claws, smashing the area and unleashing massive shock blast afterwords, which brough for even more destruction.

However, Oron managed to dodge the attack, to the dragon's surprise, before then counter attacking and unleashing several mana manifested bolts which bombarded the cyborg dragon father.

"Bastard." – however, the cyborg dragon endured the barrage and then tried counter attacking with his claws, which Oron ended up dodging… But the claw attack was a fake out, as a massive cannon poked out from the top of the dragon's forearm and unleashed a massive blast that Oron had no chance at dodging.

(Shit! Why are they not dying?!) – thought Tail as he was going between the dragons, slashing them with his poisoned daggers and shadows, somewhat slowing them down, but not managing to deal any lethal damage.

"!" – Tail noticed a magic circle appearing right underneath him, causing him to quickly shot himself away from his current location, dodging the chains that manifested from the magic circle.

(Fuck! He is the most annoying one here!) – thought Tail as he stared at the dragon in the suit who still remained in his humanoid form.

(Karol Kai'ku'dan Grio! The first son of the dragon king of Kai'ku'dan clan!) – thought Oron as he was forced to run around, avoiding the chains as well as the dragons who were unleashing their spells.

(According to the information, he is the third strongest member of the clan!)

(He has apparently a nickname called "Chains Of Justice". Which he obtained by crushing countless criminals with his chains.)

(A chef of special military force named "Justice" that operate across the entire Mawoak empire!) – thought Tail as he threw several explosive daggers at the Karol, only for his chains to appear and block off the explosive projectiles, sacrificing themselves in order for their master to not take any damage even at the cost of their own destruction.

(I can break those chains! But he is keep spawning them nonstop!)

(And if I get caught by them, things may not end well!)

(Fuck! To make it more annoying, I cannot even unleash my stronger attacks because he and those four fuckers are after me!) – thought Tail as he continued his struggle while Karol watched.

(They are dangerous.) – thought Karol as he was trying to remain composed, but in reality, he was nervous.

(Forget them surviving so long with us not holding back.)

(They are managing to not only avoid our attacks but also damage us as well.)

(Not only that, Hiu got instantly killed as soon as they broke through?)

(…That man with the crossbow, he is the most dangerous one.) – thought the dragon as he gazed towards Oron, who endured the point blank blast perfectly, surprising the cyborg dragon who then

(But the other two are also dangerous.) – thought the dragon as he gazed at Tail and then LM, who were both were making their presence known.

(The current situation is indeed alarming problematic… But still, we are able to hold them back.)

(The enemy seems to be only these 3, but still-) – thought the dragon as he reached for his ear.

"Do you all hear me?" – asked Karol as all of the dragons in the room heard his voice inside of their heads.

"Focus on taking down the crossbow user first."

"We need to take at least one of them in order to make a quick work of the other two."

"?"

"Shit." – said Oron as he realized that the dragons had turned their gazes towards him and started attacking him all at once.

"!?"

"They are focusing Oron?!" – shouted LM as the female dragon Sirio was after the goblin, unleashing a barrages of the missiles that chased him around.

"!"

(Wait, did he said Oron?!) – thought Karol as he heard LM shouting.

(Oron… Like the grand duke Oron from the Garog empire?!) – thought the dragon as he remembers reading the records about the arch dukes of the empire as well as the emperor, and remembering some of the details regarding the arch duke Oron.

"SHIT! EVERYBODY! THE ENEMY IS FROM THE GAROG EMPIRE! I REPEAT! THESE THREE ARE FROM THE GAROG EMPIRE!" – said the panicking dragon while placing his fingers on the ears, relaying the message to all the other dragons.

"?!"

(Garog empire?!) – thought alarmed Gurion the cyborg dragon.

(Shit! They are the ones that father warned us about!)

(But how are they here?! Did they somehow sneaked in some of the troops inside!?)

"The man with the crossbow is one of the most deadliest beings in the empire! He is arch duke Oron!" – said Karol while also using his chains to somewhat fight one on one with Tail, however he had noticeable increase in the difficulty while fighting the kobold.

"His specialty is stealth and unleashing devasting powered up single shots!"

"If he fires one of those special shots, he can kill you on the spot!"

"Don't let him charge up!" – said Karol as to his surprise Tail managed to get near him and swung down his blades, but once again being blocked by the chains' self-sacrifice, blocking the attack and forcing Tail to back away as the man fired off more chains.

"…"

"You have made your research." – said Tail.

(The fact that they are wary of Oron and fully researching his specialty would mean one thing.) – thought Tail as he was unleashing his shadows while confronting the chain user's attacks.

(They were ready for the war with our empire!)

(Still, I heard it.)

(Panic.) – thought Tail as he broke through the chains and tried going straight for the kill, only to be caught off guard by the trap magic circles which exploded, striking Tail and sending him flying, but not far as the kobold managed to stop himself with his tail and daggers that dug into the ground, slowing down the kobold.

But in the next moment, chains came straight at him, but not managing to pierce him as he struck them with his dagger, shattering one of the projectiles, before then running away as more chains started chasing after him.

(THEY DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT US ALREADY BEING HERE!) – thought Tail.

(And considering what he also said, he isn't aware of the fact that our elite force of the highest-ranking members of the Purple Hyena and the elite necromancers are also here!)

(THAT MEANS THOSE BASTARDS AREN'T AWARE WHAT IS HAPPENING OUTSIDE!)

Outside, the alliance's armies were digging down… And by now, all of them had found the hidden underground pathway made out of metal.

Thanks to the support of the Garog empire and LM turning on the defenses against the traitors, all three armies still had a good portion of their strength left, allowing them to dig down.

And slowly, they started tearing the metal apart and unlocking the access to the hidden pathway.

It was just a matter of the time before the alliance manage to get inside.

And that wasn't the only problem the dragons were facing.

In the deepest part of the underground, there was a place that was a massive space which had several columns inside of them.

However, that space was… Different.

It was covered in the metal, but all of the walls, floor, celling and the pillars were massive tubes which held inside a mix of black and white colored liquids.

"How much longer?" – asked the dragon king of the Kai'ku'dan clan as he was sitting in one of the 6 thrones in the room, which had countless massive wires attached to some kind of massive ring that was in the middle of the room.

"Not enough!" – said the one of the dragons who were sitting on the thrones.

"The process is stabilizing, but it will still take a while before we can activate it!" – said the dragon as some of the tubes with two colors were mixing together, turning the two liquids into the grey colored liquid.

"We need more time!"

"…"

(But do we have some?) – thought the dragon king as he was staring at the tabled, revealing that the dragon named Hiu was dead.

(One of them is already dead.)

(This isn't good.)

(If they are already getting killed, then it wouldn't be surprising if they manage to get through.)

(God dammit.)
