Chapter 466 - 455- The Emergence Of Divinity

The instant her warning reached him, the entire blue world suddenly began to tremble.

Rumble!

A deafening sound reverberated through the surroundings.

The previously clear blue sky began to crack.

At first, the cracks were tiny and almost unnoticeable, but they rapidly spread across the heavens like countless spiderwebs. It looked as though the sky itself was nothing more than a fragile curtain that had been stretched across the world—and that curtain was now beginning to tear apart.

At the same time, the earth beneath Grey’s feet began to rumble violently.

BOOM!

Cracks split open across the ground.

One after another, enormous fissures spread outward in every direction, tearing through the land and forming countless deep ravines.

Several mutated beasts and bizarre creatures that were caught off guard fell directly into those bottomless chasms.

Their roars echoed for a brief moment before disappearing into the darkness below.

Grey didn’t even spare them a glance.

The moment Violet warned him, he immediately recalled both the Mosasaur and the Life Demon phantom.

The Mosasaur was relatively close to him. At that moment, it was still rampaging through the battlefield, devouring and slaughtering mutated creatures without pause.

When Grey’s command reached it, the enormous creature abruptly halted.

It released a low, unwilling roar before turning its massive body toward Grey.

With a violent flap of its wings, the Mosasaur shot through the sky like a streak of blue lightning.

In less than a few breaths, it arrived beside Grey.

Its enormous body suddenly dissolved into a stream of dense spirit essence that surged toward him before disappearing directly into his body and returning to his sea of consciousness.

The Life Demon phantom, however, was much farther away.

Grey could still sense its presence, but it would take several seconds for it to return to him.

Several seconds... That was simply too long. The divinity rising from the Heavenly Vine was already becoming increasingly terrifying.

Barely two seconds passed then...

CRACK!

The entire sky shattered and the fragmented pieces of what had once appeared to be the blue heavens began to collapse and disappear, finally revealing what existed beyond them.

Grey’s pupils contracted.

He had expected to see the vastness of outer space. Perhaps even the true skies of the Corroded Zone.

But he saw neither. Instead, behind the shattered sky was an enormous, dark vortex.

It was so vast that Grey couldn’t see its edges.

The vortex spun rapidly, its darkness seemingly swallowing everything within its vicinity. The broken fragments of the sky were immediately pulled toward it, disappearing into its depths as the vortex continued to expand.

The moment Grey saw it, an indescribable sense of danger surged through his body.

At the same time, the Heavenly Vine trembled even more violently. Its originally green body rapidly changed.

The transformation was no longer temporary. The green gradually receded, replaced by a horrifying blood-red color.

In only a few moments, the towering Heavenly Vine had completely transformed into a crimson-colored existence that seemed to have been carved from endless blood.

Then, something even more terrifying happened. The countless blood sacks writhing at the tips of the vine’s leaves suddenly exploded.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

One after another, they burst apart. Blood and flesh splattered in every direction, yet instead of falling toward the ground, the countless droplets of blood began to float upward.

They were drawn toward the enormous vortex above.

It was as if the vortex possessed an irresistible attraction that surpassed the laws of gravity.

But that wasn’t all. The mutated creatures that had been attacking Violet and the others suddenly froze.

Every single one of them trembled.

Their bloodshot eyes lost their former ferocity. Then their bodies began to split apart.

Puchi!

Flesh tore, bones shattered into pieces and their organs ruptured like rotten fruits.

One mutated creature after another exploded from within, instantly transforming into masses of flesh and blood.

There was no resistance nor struggle or opportunity to escape. Their bodies simply collapsed beneath the invisible power descending from the vortex.

In only a matter of moments, the seemingly endless swarm of mutated creatures and bizarre existences that had filled the battlefield was reduced to countless puddles of blood.

Then, as if pulled by an invisible hand, all that blood began to rise toward the sky.

It converged with the blood and flesh from the Heavenly Vine before being swallowed by the enormous vortex.

Grey’s expression became extremely ugly. A strange tingling sensation suddenly spread through his entire body.

His flesh began to crawl and his blood began to boil. For a terrifying instant, Grey felt as though his own flesh and blood wanted to separate from his body.

As though some invisible force was calling out to every cell within him, urging them to abandon their current form and fly toward the vortex above.

It was an eerie and indescribably unnatural sensation. Grey immediately became vigilant.

Without hesitation, he circulated his spirit power and activated the only thing he knew could suppress virtually every life form, including beings and forces containing divinity.

The Purple Crystal!

The moment the suppressive intent of the Purple Crystal spread throughout Grey’s body, the strange sensation immediately weakened.

The tingling stopped. The restless feeling within his flesh disappeared and his blood returned to normal.

Grey instinctively retreated several steps, his expression becoming extremely solemn as he stared at the Heavenly Vine.

This was divinity.

True divinity. And even from such a great distance, its mere emergence was enough to affect his body.

"Quickly, Grey! Bring out something that contains some amount of divinity and hold it in your hands. When the time comes, I’ll tell you what to do."

Violet’s voice was unusually serious.

"If you don’t have anything like that, I can give you some of mine."

As her voice fell, the pale female corpse of the Captain suddenly moved. She languidly reached into her own body.

Puchi!

Black blood and rotten flesh immediately spilled from the wound.

The sight was revolting, but the Captain didn’t seem to care in the slightest. She pulled out a pulsating mound of flesh.

The lump of flesh was covered in black veins, and something seemed to be moving beneath its surface.

The moment Grey came close to it, another strange sensation washed over him.

His body instinctively reacted. His bones seemed to loosen.

His flesh felt as though it was beginning to twist. For a brief moment, Grey even felt as though his physical form was about to contort into something completely different.

His expression changed. He immediately recognized what the mound of flesh was.

Divine flesh!

The Captain had actually taken out a piece of flesh that contained divinity. Violet looked at Grey with an unusually concerned expression.

It was almost as if she was prepared to divide the piece of flesh into two and give half to him.

However, Grey could clearly sense the faint mocking intent hidden beneath the Captain’s seemingly sympathetic expression.

If he accepted it, wouldn’t that prove that he hadn’t made sufficient preparations? It would mean that the Captain was better prepared than him and the superior one.

Naturally, Grey wasn’t willing to let that happen. The one who was shocked this time was the Captain herself.

Grey calmly reached into his storage ring and retrieved another storage bag. The Captain’s eyes narrowed slightly.

Grey didn’t explain anything. Instead, he opened the storage bag and reached inside.

After searching for a moment, he retrieved a small wooden container. The wooden container was tightly sealed.

Extremely dense waves of sealing energy radiated from it, layers upon layers of powerful restrictions covering its surface.

It was obvious that Grey had gone to great lengths to seal whatever was inside.

In fact, it was clear that he had deliberately isolated the object from the outside world, as though he was afraid that even the slightest trace of its aura might be sensed by something beyond his control.

The wooden container had even been placed inside another storage bag. Seeing this, Violet’s eyes widened slightly.

"Little Grey..." Her voice carried a rare hint of genuine curiosity. "What exactly do you have in there?"

Grey remained silent. Instead, he slowly opened the wooden container.

The moment the lid was lifted, an extremely faint and ancient aura leaked out. Grey’s eyes narrowed and his purple crystal circulated. Ready to suppress whatever was inside if need be.

Inside the container was... A small piece of cloth. It had been crudely folded into the shape of a doll.

The craftsmanship was incredibly rough.

It looked as though whoever had folded it had done so carelessly, without the slightest concern for its appearance.

Even now, the cloth seemed to be slowly unfolding by itself.

Yet if it had merely been an ordinary piece of cloth, there would have been nothing surprising about it.

Unfortunately...

It was anything but ordinary. Grey’s expression gradually became solemn. The tiny piece of cloth contained an extremely terrifying amount of divinity.

The moment it was exposed to the outside world, the surrounding space seemed to become unnaturally still.

Even the invisible laws seemed to tremble faintly. Violet’s expression changed completely.

The mocking look that had previously been hidden within the Captain’s eyes vanished. For the first time, she stared at the little cloth doll with undisguised shock.

She did not expect for Grey to possess something like this.

And judging from the density of the divinity contained within it...

Whatever this piece of cloth was originally a part of, its owner had most likely been an existence far beyond their current understanding.

Grey slowly reached out and picked up the crude cloth doll. The instant his fingers touched it, the divinity contained within suddenly stirred.

A terrifying pressure descended.
