"No... No, no, no, no..." Rize stared at the bomb as he saw a timer appear on the panel, and it started ticking down. His face paled as he rushed to the bomb. "Why the hell did it start working?! Did I click on anything?! Fuck, fuck, fuck!!"

He inspected the bomb, but he couldn’t see any wires or anything he could really tamper with. ’Did those bastards have another controller?! Goddamit! That can’t be the case!’

He knew that this bomb was not something that could detonate here, or everyone would die. What made it even worse was that 15 minutes was far from enough for all the civilians to evacuate.

’If this thing detonates... Thousands will die...’ The realization made Rize shudder as if he were hit with a train. This was not just a disaster... This is a catastrophe the capital had never seen before.

"What should I do? What should I do?"

’Ok, calm down, Rize. Venera is out there, so she probably has already alerted the authorities. The question is whether they would be able to make it in time, and even if they did, can this bomb be stopped?’ He thought to himself.

Judging from the size of the bomb and how complex it looked, Rize doubted it was something that could be disarmed in a few minutes.

His eyes stared left and right as a thousand thoughts crossed his mind, and the time that passed was merely seconds. But then he turned around and quickly pulled his phone out.

Scrolling through it in a hurry, he found Venera’s phone number. Rob added it to his phone as part of his preparation to take on the role.

"Come on, answer, answer, answer." He muttered in a hurry as he rubbed his face. The phone rang a few times, but he received no reply. Instead, the response he got was something else.

*BANG* *BANG* BANG*

The sound of gunshots echoed above his head and made him flinch. He looked up with wide eyes as the sound of screaming took over. Rize was completely speechless.

"What is happening above...?" He whispered in disbelief.

On the surface, the entire Amusement Park was submerged in complete chaos. All the people at the park started running as the sound of gunshots echoed in the place.

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!!!"

"RUN!!! SOMEONE IS SHOOTING PEOPLE!!!"

"MOMMY!!!"

At the same time, at the heart of this mess, several silhouettes appeared out of nowhere. Their faces were covered in white masks with guns and swords in their hands. They were clad in black clothes.

Their guns were aimed at every person nearby before...

*BANG*

They shot them down without any hesitation. In a matter of seconds, several innocent people fell to their deaths as blood pooled around their bodies. They spread around as they gunned down every human they saw.

"No!!! Please... AAAGH!"

*BANG*

Looking up, they signaled for each other as every single one of them went in a different direction.

"Stop right there!!!!" The security of the park arrived at the scene in a hurry, not even understanding what was happening.

However, before they could even pull their guns out, the attackers immediately shot at them.

"AGH!!"

Their bodies were riddled with bullets in a single instance.

"Run!!! Don’t look back, just run!!!"

The rest of the civilians ran away, trying to find exits. The security staff tried to contain the situation, but it was impossible. The mass panic that attacked everyone was impossible to stop.

Meanwhile, those in buildings and rides watched as people fell to their deaths.

"Mommy... What is happening?"

"I... I don’t know, sweetheart. Just don’t... don’t look..." The woman said with tears in her eyes.

Rapidly, the attackers spread across the entire area, killing everyone in their path.

"This path is clear..."

"Moving to the B section."

"Roger that."

One of them said into his communication device as he continued running through the empty path for his next step. As he took the turn, a shadow suddenly appeared out of nowhere, and before he knew it, his entire vision was upside down as he slammed into the ground.

Before he could even react, his gun was taken and aimed at his head. The last thing he saw was eyes filled with anger and a sinister hatred.

"Rot in hell, bastard."

*BANG*

Venera watched as the man stopped moving before she turned around, her face contorted with anger. The smell of blood and death in the air filled her nose and made her squint. She didn’t need to see it to know what happened, but...

She still swallowed the nausea and ran toward the scene. Cutting through the path, she saw dead corpses everywhere. People of all ages, lying on the ground, not moving. Each one she saw made her heart contort with pain. Each one was a civilian of her nation.

These were her people, the people she saw every time she appeared in public as the princess. Yet, these same people were now dead... and she could not do anything about it. She was completely powerless.

She bit her lip hard until it started bleeding. But that pain couldn’t eclipse the pain she felt seeing the scenes.

Reaching the main street, she located another attacker. So, she instantly hid and aimed the gun at him. Even though she was trained in Swordsmanship more than anything else, Venera was still an expert in firearms. Aiming the gun at the man while he was busy shooting people, she aimed for the head.

Then...

*BANG*

The shot hit him in the head as blood splurted out and he fell to the ground, dead. Venera exhaled as she stood up and continued running. At the same time, she pulled out her phone and clicked on a certain button.

’Help should be here quickly.’ She thought to herself. ’Once the awakened arrive here, they should be able to contain everything. Until they come... I need to take down as many as possible.’
