A quick update and explanation

Hello! Maybe you're wondering where I've been for the past four months on NovelFire. Maybe you haven't thought about this story because on the Internet these days out of sight truly is out of mind.

Back in September I got hit with the one-two punch of the kids going back to school, and then my aunt passed suddenly and unexpectedly at the beginning of October. She was basically like a third parent to me growing up, and losing her like that without any warning was a punch to the gut that left me reeling.

I also suddenly had to deal with a bunch of estate stuff. Going through someone's stuff and winding down an entire life is a lot of work, and so in that time I focused on posting other stories that were bringing in money on other sites.

I'm going to start posting here again, adding a couple of chapters a day until the story is caught up with other places I've been posting. Thanks for hanging in there!
