Villainous Family Young Master: My Life is Over
Volume 3: Chapter 27 - Robert isn't human
"Silverdew Herb..."
"Bluebell Sage..."
"Starfall Grass..."
"Azure Spirit Vine..."
"Blood Essence Flower..."
"Lunar Dew Flower..."
"Jade Marrow Herb..."
"Witch's Thyme..."
"Frostbloom..."
"Bloodrose..."
"Moonbell..."
One previous herb after another was pointed out by Robert and I became somewhat numb.
The number of previous Magical Herbs I encountered today was even higher than what I could collect in a month.
But this didn't make me happy. Instead, it made me panic and even a little afraid because this situation was completely beyond my comprehension.
"Master, what's going on? Not to mention the Second Grade Herbs, we have even found Third Grade Magical Herbs. But why haven't we encountered any Guardian Magical Beast."
"More importantly, isn't our luck a bit too good today. I have never encountered such a huge howl before." I asked Master Cecilia.
Normally, the higher the grade of a Magical Herb, the more likely it was to attract powerful Magical Beasts.
In fact, Magical Herbs above the Second Grade almost always had a Guardian Magical Beast protecting them.
Magical Beasts possessed instincts far more sensitive than humans. They could sense the concentration of magical energy within plants and naturally understood that certain herbs were precious.
Some Magical Beasts would deliberately settle near rare Magical Herbs, using the magical energy released by the plants to strengthen themselves.
As time passed, such beasts would gradually establish their territory around the herb and be known as Guardian Magical Beasts.
Of course, they weren't guardians in the literal sense.
They didn't protect the herbs out of loyalty. Rather, they regarded the Magical Herbs as their property.
Anyone who attempted to harvest their treasure would inevitably become their enemy.
And stronger the Magical Herb, the stronger the Magical Beast attracted to it.

For extremely rare Magical Herbs, it wasn't unusual for a powerful Magical Beast to guard them for decades or even centuries and use them for cultivation.
This was one of the reasons why experienced adventurers never recklessly approached high-grade Magical Herbs.
Finding the herb was only the first step, obtaining it was another matter entirely.
But today, we have already discovered more than a dozen Second Grade Magical Herbs and several Third Grade Magical Herbs.
Yet not a single Guardian Magical Beast had appeared.
This was far too abnormal.
"Hehe, Reina-chan, do you remember what i said before you head out." Master Cecilia chuckled and said with a playful smile.
"What did Master say?"
I tried to recall what Master said before we left the Astrea family manor.
"Is it that we need to be more careful today since Robert is with us." I said with a hint of doubt since I couldn't think of anything said by Master which could be related to current situation.
"No, no, Reina-chan. Try to recall what I said about Robert." Master Cecilia raised her finger and shook it left and right, speaking in mysterious tone.
Memories related to Robert flashed into my mind. After thinking for a moment, I spoke, "Master, is this the surprise that you talked about?"
"Hm, Reina-chan is really smart. This matter is indeed related to him."
"You may not be able to tell but Robert is not Human or rather he isn't entirely Human.
"Not entirely Human? What do you mean Master?"
I frowned and glanced toward Robert
He was currently crouching beside a patch of Silverdew Herbs, picking them up, completely unaware that we were talking about him.
"He possesses a Special Bloodline."
Master Cecilia's playful smile gradually disappeared, replaced by an unusually serious expression.
"More precisely, he possesses an extremely powerful Bloodline that doesn't belong to humans."
"Bloodline..." I murmured in a low voice.
In this world, Bloodlines weren't particularly unusual.
Many powerful races possessed special Bloodlines inherited from their ancestors.
An example would be Dragons, Pheonixes, and various Beastmen tribes in the Beastmen Kingdom.
Even among Humans, there were certain Noble Families whose members inherited special Bloodlines from ancient ancestors.
"Master, what kind of Bloodline does Robert possess?"
"I don't know."
"Eh? You don't know?"
I stared at Master Cecilia in surprise.
"Hehe, don't look at me like that." Master Cecilia raised both hands innocently.
"I am just a remnant soul, I don't know everything. But one thing is certain, the reason you didn't encounter any Magical Beasts is because of the unconscious bloodline pressure radiating from Robert. Most of them have already fled the surrounding area."
"Have they already fled..."
No wonder Master said that agreeing to Robert's request would bring me a surprise. This isn't just a surprise, it's quite a shock.
"In that case, can we go deeper. If we can get higher ranking Magical Herbs, maybe it will be of some help to Brother."
After being shocked for a moment, I started to consider how to make use of the current situation.
If Magical Beasts would run away after sensing Robert then they could go deeper and search for Fourth or even Fifth and Sixth Grade Herbs.
If they could find those extremely valuable herbs, they could not only use them for Cultivation but even sell them for a high price. It was even possible that some of the herbs could have some effect on my brother.
"Reina-chan, I know what you are thinking but you should forget it. Although Robert's Bloodline pressure can scare the Magical Beast in the Outer Edge, it can't affect those in the Inner Area. The higher the rank of a Magical Beast, the higher their resistance."
Master Cecilia seemed to see through my thoughts and she said softly.
Her reminder made me pause and i quickly extinguished the dangerous thoughts in my mind.
"I understand Master. I won't go deep inside."
"Reina, over here! I found something."
Just then, Robert called out and I looked over.
I don't know when Robert had picked up all the Silverdew Herbs and moved ahead.
"I am coming..."
I smiled and our the matter of Robert's Bloodline and walked over.
Whether Robert was human or not didn't matter.
What matter was that he was now my friend.
Nothing more, nothing less.
