Villainous Family Young Master: My Life is Over

Chapter - Magic is Imagination (Revise)

Time passed and I slowly learned Magic, turning theoretical knowledge into practical knowledge, and my Magic Power also began to increase with the help of the System.

After completing the communication with the Elemental Spirits, I began with the most basic spell—Ember.

I didn't know what level my Magic Power had reached in this world. So I deliberately used only one tenth of my Magic Power.

As a result, I created a flame two to three times the size of a lighter out of thin air.

It made me realise that it was good thing not to use all my Magic. Or else this basic Ember spell would have turned into a tiny fireball in my hand. By then, it would definitely attract everyone's attention.

For the first month, I focused on familiarizing myself with Elemental Spirit Communication and refining my Magic Power. At the same time, I also learned flow, control, and release of Magic Power.

As someone who had first come in contact with supernatural power, I couldn't help but immerse myself in learning Magic.

My teacher said magic requires continuous use to gradually master. The reason is that Elemental Spirits become more familiar with us as we use Magic, greatly increasing our control and power.

"Teacher, I have a question."

"What is it, Young Master Robert?"

"Teacher, you said Magic is Imagination. So does that mean as long as I can imagine it, I can use Magic to turn it into reality."

The original novel didn't talk about the essence of Magic and it never told the underlying logic of Magic. So, I was very curious about Magic in this world.

If Imagination could really be realised then couldn't I be like the Grandson in Kenja no Mago and become overpowered.

On the opposite side, my teacher fell silent for a moment before shaking his head.

"Not exactly, Young Master Robert. Imagination is certainly an important part of magic, but it isn't everything. If it were that simple, wouldn't everyone become a powerful mage simply by imagining themselves to be one?"

It seems I can't become the overpowered character I thought of, but that makes sense.

If anything could really be realised then this world would have been a chaos, long ago.

"Young Master, are you curious why I said that Magic is imagination and why I am denying it now?"

"Hm." I nodded as I was really curious.

"Young Master, Imagination is the most important point in Magic that's why I said magic is imagination. But at the same time, you need to fulfill certain conditions to turn your imagination into reality."

"Conditions?"

"Yes, conditions. First, you must understand what you wish to create and you must be able to imagine what you want to create."

"Second, you must possess sufficient Magic Power to support the spell. Without sufficient Magic Power, high level Magic can't be cast."

"Third, Magic Power alone is insufficient , you must also have the Magic Attribute of the Magic you want to create."

"For example, young Master, you were born with Fire Attribute but if you wish to cast Space Attribute Magic, you must first synthesis your own Space Attribute Magic to be able to use Space Magic."

"Lastly, you must be able to convey your intentions to the Elemental Spirits accurately, as most Magic require communication with Elemental Spirits."

"If any of the conditions is missing then you can't turn your imagination into real Magic Spell and this is why I said imagination is only a part of Magic."

"By the way, Young Master, do you want to create your own Magic?"

"Did teacher guess it?" I rubbed my nose and looked sideways.

I don't know whether it's due to my time in Anglus Family or due to my body being that of a child but my mind seems to have regressed to that of a child. So, some of my reactions can now completely reflect that of a child.

"Young Master is too obvious. You didn't hide your intentions at all. But if you wish to create Magic, I suggest you wait until you reach become a Third Order Mage."

"After Third Order, Mages undergoes a fundamental transformation and their Magic Power and Magic control increases exponentially, which makes it easier to synthesis new Magic Attributes, be it Seven Basic Attributes or other attributes."

"So, I suggest you focus on Conventional Magic for now. Once you reach Third Order, you can focus on Creating Magic. By the way, since you're curious about Magic, I will explain Conventional Magic and Original Magic in next lesson."

"Alright that's enough for today's lesson."

"Thank you, teacher."

Third Order eh, I don't know when will I reach it. But I only need to fulfill the three conditions teacher said then can I use my imagination to create the various anime moves in reality.

Does this mean, as long as those conditions are fulfilled, I can use Magic to recreate the various anime moves I had seen in my past life, after reaching Third Order?

Just thinking of the possibility of recreating moves like Rasengan, Limitless, Zoltraak, etc, I couldn't help but feel a little excited.

"Young Master, I've been wanting to say this for a while now, but you're really different from other noble children. Generally speaking, no one would say thank you to me or anything like that."

"Yeah?"

Respecting teachers and elders is a value I brought from modern society, which is obviously not the case for others.

Looking at the teacher who was smiling, I was silent for a moment. I couldn't explain why I was so humble when both Lucius and Aisha were like classic Villainous nobles.

"Maybe I was taught well that's why I am different." I laughed it off, trying to brush this topic aside.

Of course, I was taught well, not in this life but in the previous life.

"Maybe!" The teacher looked unsure upon hearing my words but he didn't ask further.
