Villainess X Villain: They are obsessed with each other!
Chapter 383 -: 382 A favour.
Chapter 383: Chapter: 382 A favour.
Julius slowly opened his eyes, and the first thing he noticed was that the back wall of the temple had changed.
What had once been an ordinary stone wall was now covered by a faint blue glow, forming a transportation gate that hummed quietly in the background.
The sight immediately reminded him of Destiny’s words. She had said that she had left a gate open inside the temple so that they could travel directly toward the capital city, and apparently, this was the one she had been talking about.
Julius glanced to the side and found Rosalina standing nearby. She had also finished her vision, but unlike Julius, she appeared to be lost in thought, her expression carrying a mixture of confusion and contemplation.
From the way she was staring into the distance, it was obvious that whatever Destiny had told her was still occupying her mind.
"So, are you done?"
The voice came from above them. Miasma, who had been resting comfortably on one of the nearby trees, jumped down from the branch and slowly walked toward them.
Her red eyes immediately settled on Julius and Rosalina, studying them carefully. There was nothing visibly different about either of them, but Miasma could sense that something had changed.
Their eyes looked the same, their appearances remained unchanged, and yet she could tell that both of them had awakened their third ability.
"Do you feel like you can use it?" she asked.
Julius smiled faintly before shaking his head. Technically, he could use it, but that did not mean he was capable of using it casually. He could already feel the strain that would come with activating his third ability.
First and foremost, he had the All-Seeing Eyes, and if he used them to activate the third ability, he had a strong feeling that his mana would be completely drained before he could even properly make use of it.
On top of that, there was another problem. Although Destiny had explained what his third ability could do, knowing something through an explanation and actually experiencing it himself were two completely different things.
He didn’t even fully understand how the ability would feel once activated, much less how much control he would have over it.
"I could probably use it," Julius admitted, "but right now, it would be difficult."
Rosalina also shook her head when Miasma’s gaze shifted toward her. However, her thoughtful expression did not disappear.
She remained unusually quiet, and Julius noticed it almost immediately. Considering everything they had just experienced, he could understand why.
Destiny had spoken to both of them, and while Julius had received his own warnings and information, Rosalina had clearly been given something that was occupying her thoughts.
Julius turned toward her.
"Have you met her?"
Rosalina was silent for a moment before finally answering.
"Hmm... yes, I met her."
Her gaze remained lowered as she continued, her voice quieter than usual.
"She told me some things about the corrupted Fate and such, so I was lost in thought because of those things."
"Oh."
Julius nodded in understanding. He could tell from her expression that there was a lot for her to process. Whatever Destiny had told her about the corrupted Fate was obviously not something she could simply brush aside and forget.
Julius had no desire to force her to explain everything immediately either. If Rosalina wanted to talk about it, she would eventually tell him herself, and until then, there was no reason to pressure her.
He glanced toward the transportation gate before looking back at Miasma.
"By the way, are you coming with us?"
"Yeah, I am."
Miasma stretched slightly before continuing.
"There is going to be some entertainment today, so I will accompany you. Besides, I suppose my job here is done, so I’m free to do whatever I want now."
Julius raised an eyebrow.
"What do you want?"
Julius continued, "Didn’t you always want to get your grandfather’s inheritance? Are you sure you won’t feel jealous if I end up getting the inheritance instead?"
Miasma gave him a complicated look.
For a brief moment, Julius felt that he had touched upon something important. It was obvious that Miasma still wanted the inheritance, at least to some extent, but considering what she told him about being scolded, Julius suspected that they might have told her not to pursue it any further.
Perhaps she had decided to let the matter go, or perhaps she simply didn’t have much of a choice anymore. Either way, Julius couldn’t shake the feeling that she might eventually hold a grudge against him if he ended up taking what she had originally wanted.
He didn’t particularly want to create unnecessary hostility between them, especially after Miasma had helped them.
"Alright then," Julius said with a small smile. "Thanks for the help. I will owe you a favour—"
He didn’t even have the chance to finish. Miasma’s eyes immediately brightened.
"A favour?"
Her entire expression changed so quickly that Julius instinctively became wary.
"Then I have something I want from you."
"W-what?"
Julius stared at her. Something about the sudden change in her behavior felt wrong. Just moments ago, Miasma had been speaking normally, but the instant he mentioned owing her a favour, she had become noticeably more excited. Julius couldn’t help but wonder what exactly she had been waiting for.
Miasma took a breath, her expression suddenly becoming strangely nervous. She looked almost like a teenager trying to gather enough courage to confess something embarrassing.
"I was... wondering if I could, you know, get revenge for getting beaten by your dad."
Miasma continued, her voice becoming increasingly awkward.
"So, I was thinking... if you could arrange a meeting with him..."
Julius stared at the Zlycon woman in silence.
The way she was behaving was so strange that he couldn’t help but feel as though he were watching a teenage girl experiencing love for the first time.
Miasma’s sudden nervousness, the way her eyes had brightened when he mentioned a favour, and the strange enthusiasm with which she had asked to meet his father all gave Julius a very particular impression.
Had she perhaps fallen in love for the first time?
Julius wasn’t certain, and he certainly wasn’t going to ask her directly, but judging by her behavior, he was fairly convinced that it was a possibility.
"Okay... I’ll try."
Julius muttered the words while already feeling slightly tired at the thought of what might happen if Miasma actually met his father again. He decided it was better not to think about it for now.
Without giving Miasma another opportunity to add anything else, Julius turned toward the blue transportation gate and stepped into it. The faint blue light immediately surrounded his body, and his figure began disappearing into the gate.
Rosalina followed after him without saying anything.
Miasma watched the two of them disappear, her red eyes still carrying that strange excitement.
Then, without wasting any more time, she followed them through the gate as well.
