Villainess Rampage: The Whole Sect Begs for Mercy
Chapter 708 The Fall of Feng San
With his mind in turmoil and his body wounded, Feng San was already showing signs of defeat.
Had he pressed his attack in one final, desperate push, he might have stood a chance against Song Wanning. But his courage had already failed him.
Now, he was completely on the defensive.
Song Wanning’s eyes were resolute as she pursued Feng San. She unleashed Space Folding and time-stopping abilities repeatedly. Paired with the occasional bolt of Divine Thunder, she cut off his escape routes time and time again.
He failed to escape; instead, his injuries only grew more severe.
Spitting out a mouthful of blood, Feng San was seething with rage. His hatred for Song Wanning had reached its absolute peak.
But it was too late to even think about retaliating.
BOOM—
Another bolt of Divine Thunder crashed down, striking Feng San once more and sending him stumbling forward.
Song Wanning flickered into motion, the light of her sword instantly streaking toward his neck.
A chill shot through Feng San’s heart. Ignoring the searing pain from the lightning, he scrambled to roll aside.
But he couldn’t evade it completely. A deep gash was carved across half his neck and shoulder.
Blood sprayed wildly. Feng San convulsed, letting out a pained roar as if his very veins were about to rupture.
The power of the Divine Thunder continued to ravage his body. At this point, the immortal power within Feng San was in complete disarray.
His immortal power rampaged through his meridians as if it had a mind of its own.
His eyes bulged as he collapsed to his knees, his fingernails clawing deep scratches into the ground in agony.
One could only imagine the torment he was suffering just by looking at him.
Song Wanning’s expression was glacial, her gaze upon Feng San growing colder still.
She once again called down the thunder.
A bolt of Purple Cloud Divine Thunder, thick with an aura of annihilation, came crashing down.
The surrounding mountains rumbled in response, the immense power of the strike making it seem as if an earth dragon was breaking free from the ground.
Feng San watched in despair as the Divine Thunder descended, his eyes filled with terror and utter disbelief.
But more than that, he was filled with regret and indignation.
’I should never have come after Song Wanning... I should never have let my guard down...’
’Song Wanning is the greatest deceiver... A complete fraud!!!’
Feng San burst into laughter, but his voice was laced with pure agony.
In the next instant, the Divine Thunder slammed into him.
Feng San was utterly consumed.
"NO—"
A final, resentful roar echoed throughout the mountain forest.
Song Wanning’s expression remained cold. She stared at the spot where the Divine Thunder had struck, feeling no strong emotion.
’I did nothing wrong.’
’I have nothing to fear.’
’But this is probably going to be troublesome.’
Song Wanning narrowed her eyes. When the Divine Thunder dissipated, only a single storage ring remained in the clearing.
Feng San’s clothes, body, and soul had all been annihilated, turned to ash by the Divine Thunder.
With a beckoning gesture, she drew the storage ring into her hand. After a quick glance at it, she turned and headed back toward the Wuji Sect.
’This isn’t over yet!’
...
「Wuji Sect.」
Mu Zixu was sitting cross-legged, deep in his Cultivation.
Suddenly, a violent tremor in his Divine Thought jolted him awake.
His eyes snapped open, and he coughed up a mouthful of blood.
With a look of utter disbelief, Mu Zixu waved his hand, and an image materialized before him.
It was a recording of the last three seconds of his disciple Feng San’s life.
He saw his disciple’s agonized screams, the terrifying Divine Thunder, and, through it all, the indistinct face of his disciple’s killer.
"How could this be..."
Mu Zixu froze for an instant, his eyes abruptly turning red.
A moment later, an uncontrollable rage erupted from the depths of his soul, consuming him entirely.
"Song Wanning—"
His roar echoed across the entire mountain peak.
The other disciples, hearing the commotion, looked over in surprise to see Mu Zixu storming out of his palace.
His robes whipped about him, stirred by the sheer force of his fury.
"Master, what has happened?"
Wu Wang and Ouyang Lin, sensing the disturbance, abandoned the Elixir Pills in their Pill Furnaces and rushed out.
They were completely bewildered, with no idea what was going on.
But their master’s current state was terrifying. They had never seen him in such a state.
"Feng San is dead!!!"
Mu Zixu radiated a savage aura, his eyes glinting with extreme danger.
His words struck them like a thunderclap, leaving everyone stunned.
"Master, you must be joking..."
Wu Wang asked, forcing a weak smile, but his hands had begun to tremble.
When Ouyang Lin processed the news, his face filled with shock and grief, and his eyes turned crimson with rage.
"Who was it? Who killed our second brother?!?!"
’Our second brother was fine just a while ago... I even went to see him before he left... I told him not to get into a conflict with Song Wanning.’
’How could he be gone, just like that? Parted forever by death?’
The air around Mu Zixu roiled violently, his aura terrifying to behold.
Without another word, he shot off toward Dan Dao Peak.
The other disciples on the peak now realized what was happening. Mu Zixu had just shouted Song Wanning’s name.
’Did Song Wanning kill Feng San?’
’How is that possible?’
’The gap in their Cultivation is immense. There’s no way Song Wanning could have killed Feng San!’
Wu Wang’s heart sank. He quickly ordered a junior disciple to fetch the Sect Leader and the others, then followed Ouyang Lin as they charged toward Dan Dao Peak.
’If Song Wanning really did kill Feng San, she must pay with her life!’
’I don’t care if she’s a genius or not—she must pay with her life!!!’
The group stormed toward Dan Dao Peak with menacing intent. Others within the Sect sensed that something was amiss and trailed behind, curious to see what was happening.
Meanwhile, Daoqing was in the middle of instructing Lan Yue on Alchemy when an enraged roar suddenly echoed through the air.
"Daoqing, hand over Song Wanning to me this instant so she can face her death!!!!"
The furious shout startled everyone on the peak, sending them all rushing outside.
Daoqing flashed into appearance in the sky outside the palace, blocking the enraged Mu Zixu’s path.
"What do you think you’re doing?"
Daoqing’s face was flushed with anger. ’Mu Zixu must be insane,’ he thought.
He’d charged over here for no reason, shouting and screaming. It was pure madness.
Situ Yue and a few others also rushed out, glaring at the newcomer in annoyance.
"What do I think I’m doing?"
Mu Zixu let out a vicious sneer, his eyes filled with malice.
"Song Wanning killed Feng San. What do you *think* I’m going to do?!"
His words were like water hitting hot oil, instantly causing an uproar.
The disciples were stunned, unsure if Mu Zixu was spouting nonsense or telling the truth.
Daoqing and the others’ hearts skipped a beat, and their expressions changed drastically.
They were completely in the dark about the situation and had no idea how it had all begun.
Just as he was wondering how to respond, Daoqing received a Communication Talisman from Song Wanning. His brow furrowed as he read its contents.
A moment later, however, he breathed a small sigh of relief.
He had been genuinely worried that Song Wanning had killed Feng San in a moment of impulse, which would have been impossible to justify.
But since Feng San had instigated the conflict, he had no one to blame but himself for being outmatched.
’And here I haven’t even gone looking for trouble with Mu Zixu yet!’
"Mu Zixu, you can’t just say whatever you want! We can’t take your word alone on what happened here."
"I’ll have Song Wanning return right now to set the record straight, lest someone try to sling mud on her name!"
