Villainess Breaker: Raising Broken Beauties Against Destiny
Chapter 375: Damian’s Guide to Sacrificing Idiots
Several hours later, Damian, Cassandra, Lenox, and Corlan finally arrived above an enormous isolated sea.
Damian hovered in the air while supporting the two gigantic water cocoons containing Serina and Miona with his Chaos Dragon Qi.
He looked down at the endless blue water beneath them and raised an eyebrow. "So... what now?"
Lenox pointed toward the center of the sea. "Throw both cocoons into the water."
Damian looked at him. "That’s it?"
Corlan nodded seriously. "That’s what the ancient records instructed. Once they enter the sea, we need to retreat immediately."
Cassandra frowned. "Why?"
Lenox shook his head. "The records didn’t explain everything. They only warned that once the Twin Keys enter the awakening stage and touch this sea, everyone nearby should move away as quickly as possible."
Damian already knew exactly why. Thanks to the Destiny Story, he had seen what happened next.
Still, he pretended to think about it before shrugging. "Alright. Sounds simple enough."
He casually threw both enormous cocoons into the sea, and the instant they touched the water, everything went silent.
For perhaps two seconds, nothing happened before the entire sea suddenly trembled.
Massive waves suddenly erupted in every direction as an overwhelming suction force formed around the two cocoons.
Lenox and Corlan’s eyes widened in shock before they quickly retreated.
Cassandra stared downward as millions upon millions of tons of seawater began rushing toward Serina and Miona.
The two cocoons absorbed everything violently, not slowly draining the sea but practically devouring it.
Lenox and Corlan were stunned.
Even though they had read about the process in the ancient records, neither of them had expected anything on this scale.
Damian, meanwhile, had already started flying backward.
Cassandra noticed and immediately followed. "You’re moving awfully fucking quickly."
Damian coughed. "They literally told us to run. Why would I stand there like an idiot?"
Cassandra narrowed her eyes suspiciously, but Damian ignored her. He already remembered exactly what was about to happen next.
Once enough seawater disappeared, something enormous would emerge from beneath the seabed.
Something Lenox and Corlan had spent decades searching for without ever truly understanding.
Damian glanced back as the sea level dropped at a terrifying speed, and a grin slowly appeared beneath his black dragon mask.
"Finally... the part the system cut off is about to appear. Let’s see what the hell was missing from those ancient records."
---
The sea continued being devoured by Serina and Miona’s cocoons; the water level dropped at a terrifying speed.
Within minutes, enormous sections of the seabed were completely exposed.
Damian narrowed his eyes and suddenly pointed toward one particular area. "Wait... what the hell is that?"
Of course, he already knew.
Beneath the disappearing sea stood the enormous [Twin Heaven-Abyss Sea Palace].
Ancient walls stretched for kilometers as towering structures rose from the seabed, covered in strange aquatic carvings and ancient formations that still glowed faintly despite the countless years that had passed.
Damian deliberately stared as though seeing it for the first time. "Holy shit... there was an entire palace under here?"
Lenox and Corlan froze, their eyes widening so much that they almost looked ridiculous.
"This..." Lenox’s breathing grew heavier as he stared at the palace in disbelief. "This thing is fucking enormous."
Neither of them had expected anything remotely this grand. The damaged records had only mentioned an inheritance.
They had imagined ancient ruins, perhaps a hidden treasury or cultivation chamber.
Not an entire palace.
Lenox’s eyes slowly filled with greed. "With an inheritance of this scale... there has to be something incredible inside."
Corlan immediately understood what he meant and finished the thought. "We might actually have a chance to reach the King Realm."
The two men looked at each other, and for a moment, neither spoke. They didn’t need to. Both had reached the same conclusion.
Their original Plan B suddenly felt far less attractive, and just like that, Plan A quietly became the main plan again.
Corlan turned toward Damian and forced a friendly smile. "Sir Black Dragon, how about Lenox and I head inside first?"
Damian raised an eyebrow.
Lenox quickly added, "We’ve studied the ancient records for decades. If there are formations or traps inside, we’ll recognize them more easily."
Corlan nodded. "Once we confirm what’s inside, we’ll return and divide the inheritance according to our agreement."
Cassandra immediately looked toward Damian. She clearly didn’t believe a single word coming from either man.
But to her surprise, Damian simply nodded. "Sure."
Lenox and Corlan both paused, almost wondering if they had heard him correctly.
Damian casually waved toward the palace. "Go ahead. Like you said, you two know more about this place than we do. Besides, Serina and Miona are still outside, so I’ll stay here and keep watch."
Corlan suppressed the grin threatening to spread across his face. "Excellent. Thank you, Sir Black Dragon."
Lenox nodded quickly. "We’ll investigate first. If we find anything valuable, we’ll come back and report it."
The two immediately flew toward the exposed palace, and to everyone’s surprise, the massive gate actually opened the moment they touched it, allowing them inside.
Damian was briefly surprised as well, but the moment he remembered the wicked grins Serina and Miona had shown in the Destiny Story, a chill ran down his spine.
He shuddered slightly. Yeah... there was no fucking way he was entering that palace first.
Meanwhile, Cassandra looked at Damian as if he had completely lost his mind. "Did you seriously just let them go in there?"
Damian turned toward her and smiled. "Hehehe... relax. Do you really think I’d let them go that easily?"
Cassandra narrowed her eyes. "You noticed something, didn’t you?"
Damian only grinned and pointed toward the palace. "Look at that place, then look at Serina and Miona. That palace is obviously connected to both sisters, yet it suddenly opened without any resistance for two outsiders."
He raised two fingers. "That means one of two things. Either the palace is so old that its restrictions barely work anymore... or it deliberately let them inside."
Cassandra’s expression slowly changed as she understood what he meant.
Damian’s grin widened. "And with a place that grand, do you really think there aren’t any hidden mechanisms waiting for intruders?"
Cassandra fell silent as the more she thought about it, the more Damian’s words made sense.
