Villain: The Play of Destiny

Chapter 432

Chapter 432

“Hey! Put me down!” Feifie protested when she was suddenly carried off her feet, but one glare from Keith shut her up.

A faint blush crept on her face when she saw the maid approach them, but the old woman did not care about Keith carrying her.

“Miss Fei!” She anxiously walked over when she saw the bruises and cuts on Feifei’s face.

“I am fine, Auntie.” The girl immediately said, and then anxiously looked at the entrance. “Rouxi is asleep, right?”

“No, Miss.” The maid shook her head, and still worriedly looked at her. “Miss Rouxi was invited over to the First Estate. It was Mrs Demiliore, who personally came to invite her for dinner.”

“Qingyue?” Feifie raised her head and looked at Keith. “You are staying at the First Estate?”

“Yes.” He lightly replied and then looked at the maid. “Lead me to Fei’s room.”

“Hey…” She tried to protest again, but the indifferent look that he sent her way shut her up again.

“Master…” Fiona, who was standing behind them called out to him, asking him what orders he had for her.

“Go, get some rest. Iseul will take you home.” He smiled at her, and even though she wanted to stay with him, she obediently nodded and walked over to the car Iseul was sitting inside.

Keith then entered the mansion and followed the maid to Feifei’s room.

“I will get the first-aid box…”

“No need for it.” Keith stopped the maid from walking over to the cupboard. “I am a doctor, don’t worry.” He assured her and then proceeded to lay Feifei on the couch. “Excuse us.” He told her, and the Princess of the Wei Family frowned a little when the maid simply obeyed his command and left the room.

There was something about it that did not feel natural to her, but then she frowned when he coated his forefinger in his Aura and proceeded to trace the cuts.

She found it strange that his touch did not sting, instead, there was a numbing sensation and heat, which she was quite curious about.

For minutes, Feifei watched him seriously focusing on healing her, and despite herself, she could not help but fall into a trance at his perfection.

“Why are you so handsome?” She bluntly asked, and Keith could not help the chuckle that escaped his throat.

“I was born this way.”

“No surgeries?” She narrowed her eyes, eliciting another chuckle from him.

“No.” He shook his head. “What about you?” He smiled and asked, still focusing on healing her.

“Can’t you tell? You are a renowned doctor.” She smirked, quite content with his indirect admission of her beauty.

“I see.” He playfully smiled. “Ever considered one?” He asked and smiled some more at the glare she sent his way. “Your nose…”

“Behave.” She warned him.

“Is quite cute.” He finished his sentence, but Feifei did not feel any better about it.

“It is rude to try and tease a girl about her beauty. We are sensitive creatures, and even the prettiest of us are not immune to insecurities.”

“Is that so?” He smirked. “So, do you consider yourself pretty?”

“Am I not pretty?” She asked back.

“No.” And he unhesitatingly answered to her, making her frown at him.

There was a minute of pregnant silence between them as he returned to healing her, and when he was done, he retracted his hand and met her narrowed eyes.

“Yes?”

“Why do you like me then if you don’t find me pretty enough for you?”

“What makes you think that I like you?” He teasingly asked.

“You are interested in me. I can sense it.” She seriously said, and then waited for him to answer her question.

“Is that so?” He leaned in close to her face, scaring her a little, and just when she was about to push him away, she sensed him reach up and plant a kiss on her forehead.

“You are beautiful, Fei. And you are mine.”

Feifei was sure that her heart had never thumped as hard against her chest as it did after hearing his words. It was almost painful, but at the same time, she strangely felt elated.

“I am not yours.” She adamantly shook her head, and he found it cute that she subconsciously did not look him in his eyes as she said those words. She did not even push him away. “You knew it was going to happen. Didn’t you?” And she hurriedly changed the subject.

“No, I did not know that a car crash would happen, but I had a foreboding feeling that you might get hurt.” He said as he stood up and then took a good look around the room.

“You can sense it too?” She genuinely asked and saw him smile at her again.

“Maybe.” He shrugged. “But my sixth sense only kicked in after I found you feeling unwell.”

She curiously raised her brow when she saw him crouch down and come at eye level with her.

“There is something I want to tell you, and I want you to listen to me carefully,” He seriously said, no longer smiling. Feifei frowned but nodded to him, asking him to say what he wanted to say. “Don’t ever ignore the foreboding feelings that you sense. Ever. You are special, Fei. You possess a very special gift.”

She furrowed her brows at his words and eventually nodded her head again.

“Okay.” She promised. “My instincts tell me that you are a dangerous man. I trust them.”

Keith laughed at her words and then stood up again.

“Do you feel that I would harm you?” He asked, but there was no hint of curiosity in his voice.

“No.” She honestly answered.

“True. So, what else do they tell you about me?” He asked again, and there was a hint of playfulness in his voice this time.

Feifei felt like he could read right through her, and she suppressed the blush that was about to creep in due to the embarrassment and changed the subject again.

“What is this Pendant?” She asked, looking at the pendant that was still on her neck.

“It is magical.”

“I can already tell that.” She rolled her eyes at his words and then seriously looked at him. “It is precious, isn’t it?”

“It is priceless.” He indifferently nodded his head, still smiling as he looked around the room.

Something told her that he found her room quite funny, and it immediately dissatisfied her.

“Is there something wrong?”

“You love birds, don’t you?” He asked as he looked at all the paintings of birds she had in her room, and even the curtains and bed sheets had miniature birds on them.

“Yes.” She nodded.

“Interesting.” He looked at the hyper-realistic painting of a crowned Pigeon and smiled. “That’s a beautiful work. You are quite talented.”

“How do you know it’s my work?” She frowned.

Only a few people in her life knew about her love for hyper-realistic art. Even fewer knew that she could paint them. And she doubted that any one of them had told him about it.

“You have signed it.” He pointed it out, giving her a blank look, but Feifei only narrowed her eyes at his words.

“Where?”

“On the sixth feather of its left wing.” He smiled and replied.

She knew very well that her signature was hidden in the feathers of the bird, and it was so small that it would be impossible to make it out from this distance. It would even be hard to figure it out if you zoomed in on it. And most people would only be able to find it after she pointed it out to them.

Even Rouxi had taken several minutes to make it out after looking at the painting from up close. And she was the sharpest person she knew in her life.

“You can see it?”

“Yes.” He smiled, knowing well what was running in her mind. “I am Divine. Didn’t I tell you that?”

“Hmph! You have a God Complex, that’s for sure.” She rolled her eyes again. “So, what are you? A Vampire? Damphir?”

“You don’t think I could be a Werewolf?” He curiously raised his brow.

“Are you?” She asked back, making him laugh again.

“No. I am not.” He shook his head and then met her eyes. “And I don’t have a God Complex, dear Fei. I am a God.”

Feifie kept looking into his eyes, finally feeling a little apprehensive. Her mind was not as clear when he had said those words back at the West Lake, but she could truly feel his honesty right now.

“What are you?” She asked again, and Keith smiled as he could tell that she was not scared of him.

“Why are you so curious?”

“I just want to know what you are.”

“Why, my dear Fei?” He smiled and asked again, leaving her a little agitated.

“Just tell me.” She irritatedly said, and he chuckled at her words.

“You are better off not knowing about it right now. You will figure it out one day.” He told her, and to make it harder on her, he conjured birds made out of his Lightning Element, in the haunting shade of his amethyst aura.

Feifei dazedly looked at the most beautiful and magical sight of her life, watching those dozens of birds flying all around the room, letting out cute chirping sounds that also whispered how dangerous they were.

“Again!” She excitedly cried out when the birds disappeared into specks of light.

“So, you believe me now?” He asked and amusedly smiled when she immediately nodded her head.

“Do it again, please!”

“You are not scared of me?” He asked and nearly laughed at the blank look she gave him.

“No.” She shook her head, trying her best to suppress the heat from reaching her cheeks, but she failed, of course. “Do it again!”

“Sure, but only if you give me a kiss.” He grinned at her, making her face turn redder.

“You already kissed me without my permission!” She rebutted, and as soon as she said those words, she knew she had fallen into the trap.

“Yes, and I want another if you wish to see that sight again. I can even make it better…”

“Forget it!” She cut him off hurriedly, knowing well that if she considered it, he would keep bargaining for more. “Here, take it.” She took off the pendant on her neck and handed it back to him.

“You can keep it.” He smiled when she looked at him in surprise.

“You said it is priceless.”

“It is. But not more than you.” He told her, and before she could react, he grabbed her waist and pulled her against his body.

Feifei looked up at him in panic, and then her eyes widened when he simply leaned in and captured her lips.

The little struggle she put up waned as soon as she lost herself to his taste, and then her mind put aside all her thoughts, allowing the strange sense of relief to flood through her.
