Chapter 297 297
Keith and Rebecca seriously looked at the light and the golden sparkles that emanated from Abuzar’s body.
This was not a normal light but a light that contained traces of the Law of Life, and they both could clearly sense it.
The God Ring on Abuzar’s finger shined too, and then, minutes later, it stopped.
It was at that moment that a portal appeared in the sky, in the form of swirling dark clouds, and then lightning was seen and a heart-stirring thunder was heard.
Suddenly, chains of Red Lightning broke out of Abuzar’s body and bound him, and he did not struggle at all, letting them take him as a prisoner.
The light emanating from his body brightened, and then, from the ground he stood on, a new Flora sprouted. A series of plants and flowers they had not seen before, and a soon a divinely alluring fragrance emanated from them.
Abuzar opened his eyes and his golden Irises sparkled a little.
“Farewell.” He whispered right before a pillar of lighting fell from the portal, and when it disappeared, Abuzar was no longer on Gaia.
Rebecca carefully watched the portal in the sky close and sensed the world return to peace. Her eyes then drifted around the house and the lawn, and everywhere she looked, there are this beautiful flora that made it seem like they were in some sort of a mystical land.
Even the walls and the pillars were completely covered by vines that bore beautiful leaves and flowers on them, and the grass was more lustrous than she had ever seen in her life.
“I will see you in Netheria.” Leilah lightly said, and as soon as Keith nodded, she disappeared, leaving behind Spatial Cracks that healed on their own.
“You have a beautiful home, Lord Poseidon.” Rebecca smiled at Caspian, who could only smile at her words.
Abuzar had left everything he owned in this world to Poseidon, and so, this beautiful home now belonged to him.
“Would you mind selling it to me?” She straightforwardly asked before any other Mortal God could even muster up the courage to raise the question.
“I prefer living in the sea, so you may as well take it,” Caspian spoke casually, and then nodded to the butler of this house, who was standing beside a pillar, feeling a little desolate since his Master was gone now.
“It will be my honour to serve you, Lady Hecate.” The old butler bowed, and Rebecca brightly smiled.
“Well, then you can start with showing me around the house.” She said and then turned to look at the guests. “Please, excuse me.” And then she left with her Shadow to take a tour around her new property and check how it looked now after the beautiful phenomenon that they all had witnessed.
Keith smiled in his heart at the decisiveness of his wife. She never wasted any time getting what she wanted.
“Lord Erebus.” Poseidon approached him, and then the two looked into each other’s eyes before silently leaving the lawn to take a stroll.
“Did you find it?” He asked, and Caspian nodded his head.
“I have handed the gold over to Wednesday.”
Keith nodded to his words.
He had asked Poseidon to retrieve the gold Azdaar had hidden away somewhere in the Tigris River before someone on Azdaar’s camp would look for it.
He had already tasked Naomi, Julian, and Zor to gather all the Treasures that Azdaar had accumulated in his centuries-long life, and they had already finished their tasks.
“You plan on taking away as much gold as your storage ring can hold?” Caspian smiled as he asked the question.
“You have keen eyes, but I am not surprised that you realised that this ring on my hand is a storage ring.” He glanced at the Inheritor of the God of Seas. “After all, you came from a world where these things are pretty common.” He said and smiled when Caspian’s eyes widened in surprise. “Nice ring.” He glanced at the blue metallic band that Caspian was wearing on the little finger of his right hand.
They silently walked down the pathway that was right between the vineyard, and Caspian just stared at the stars in the sky, lost in his thoughts.
“How much do you know about me?” πΌπ―ππ₯οΌππ¨πΊ
“Not much.” Keith honestly said. “But I know that you were not born in this world and that you are not human.” He smiled. “You have Celestial Blood in your veins.”
“I see.” Caspian narrowed his eyes.
Other than Nyx, no one else knew his truth. It was something he had hidden from Abuzar and Sin, who were the two people he really became friends with.
“How did you end up here?” Keith curiously asked, and watched him frown.
“An accident happened when a Secret Realm collapsed, and then a crack in Space and Time threw me into this world.” He revealed. “It was 821 years ago, this world’s time.”
“I suppose there is a reason why you still stay here?” He knowingly guessed.
Caspian meaningfully looked at him, and then they both stopped.
Keith watched the man draw his left hand forward, and then a mirthless smile crept on his face when a dull Rune appeared on the back of his hand.
Keith was very familiar with this Rune as he bore several of them on him. This was the Rune of Sacred Wedding bound by the Divine Laws. But the Rune on Caspian’s hand was dull, which meant that his wife was dead.
“Who is she?” He lightly asked as they both resumed waking.
“My older twin, Cerci.” Caspian took a deep breath and replied. “She gave her life protecting me in that Secret Realm where our enemies ambushed us.”
“A war?”
“Yes.”
“And your Family?”
“We lost our crown, home, and most of our family, but we still live.”
“So you are waiting for her to be born again.” He understandably nodded his head.
“Yes,” Caspian admitted.
Those who took the vow of Life and Death in their Sacred Wedding were forever bound to each other in both Life and Death. As long as one lived, their spouse would find their way to them after being born again, but for most, the wait was very long and lonesome.
Keith recalled the Plan of Destiny he had read about Qin Feng, and in which Poseidon was mentioned.
According to the Plan of Destiny, Poseidon was no longer in this world when Qin Feng returned to China, which meant that he would leave in the next few years.
“What do you want?” Keith asked, and Caspian remained silent for a good minute.
“I would require your help one day as they would come after me, my wife, and my family once again.” He said.
“Did Nyx send you to me?” He guessed.
“Yes,” Caspian truthfully replied. “She is the one who shields my family right now, and she would inform me when Cerci is born again. However, she has refused to participate in the War if I wish to reclaim my xrown and my home.”
Keith remained silent as he walked down the pathway.
He knew very well that Nyx could do anything she wanted. She did not fear anyone, and everyone feared her. He did not know why but he felt like Nyx planned for Caspian to fall into his hands, but on the other hand, if he participated in the war before receiving and creating his Divinities to become a True God, it would not result in an all-out war between Pantheons, so, it was the right decision for her to not openly participate in the War.
“We have still a long way to go before we reach the Immortal Realm.” Keith chuckled, and then looked at the blonde man. “When the time comes, we will talk about it again. But know that my help would come with a very heavy price.”
“I know.” Caspian smiled.
He trusted the Master of their Pantheon with all his life, and since Nyx had guided him to Keith, he was ready to pay any price if it meant that his family would survive and that he would reclaim everything that belonged to his family.
“So, what is Cerci like?” Keith changed the topic and asked, and he watched a genuine smile appear Caspian’s face.
“A lot like lady Rebecca, I must say. But she had a temper, and since she was the older one, she was very stubborn, protective, and possessive.” The blonde man fondly recalled.
“Is that so?” He chuckled.
“Yes.” He nodded.
Keith and Caspian chatted with each other for over an hour, and when they returned to the Farm House, all the guests had already left.
Even the servicemen of the Temple of Dionysus were gone. And Rebecca was waiting for him together with the girls.
“I shall take my leave now, Lady Hectate.”
“We will meet again at the opening ceremony of Noxville, Lord Poseidon.” His wife replied to the blonde man, who nodded and lightly bowed before taking his leave.
“Do you like the place?” Keith asked, and Rebecca brightly smiled at him as she jumped into his arms and kissed him with great passion.
“It is beautiful!” She happily said. “Come, I will show you around!” And then she dragged him with her to take a good look at the house before she pulled him into a room and closed the door.
She was returning to Netehria tomorrow, and so she needed him to fill her up with his warmth. And their passion burned brightly throughout the night.
