Villain: The Play of Destiny

Chapter 286 286

A mother’s wail rose to the sky when her child was slaughtered right in front of her eyes, and even though half her body was mangled, she still managed to get up on her working leg and then rushed at the enemy again.

Qin Feng did not even bother with her anymore as he rushed at Oros, letting his Aura Soul deal with the woman.

The golden serpentine dragon rushed to meet Mushka, and in one fell swoop, devoured her wavering Wolf Soul and then proceeded to shred her body into pieces.

Oros, who was bleeding from head to toe, growled in rage and then erupted the last bit of strength he had left in him to fortify his Aura Soul.

“Surrender.” Qin Feng lightly spoke after he sent the Chieftain of the Hubo tribe flying back with a powerful punch.

He had to admit that Oros was strong, very strong. And despite being stronger than his opponent, he had failed to get past the Aura Shield this time.

Oros briefly glanced at the surroundings, watching his warriors put up a fight against the army of Vampires who had come prepared.

He had thought that there were only a hundred of them, but only two minutes later, a hundred more arrived, and another couple of minutes later, a final batch of hundred more Vampires arrived at the scene.

It was a slaughter as the enemy was not fighting fair and was using the Wolfsbane Poison to attack their sense of smell and make the weaker lose their minds.

There was only one outcome of this battle, and Oros knew that even the children hidden underground would not be spared.

The dilemma only lasted for a moment, and then Oros closed his eyes, taking a deep breath. He wished he had sent this last batch of children away too, but as a tribe who honoured their blood and loyalty, he was not going to surrender to an enemy who had already slaughtered more than half of his family.

“You may win the battle, Hades, but I would not let you win everything.” He lightly said. “My tribe would never fall in your hands.”

The determination in his voice made Qin Feng sigh, and then there was nothing but coldness in his eyes as he stared at the magnificent Werewolf who was currently in his Hybrid Form.

“You are dumb, but you have my respect.” He praised the man for his unyielding will and then charged forward to end the battle.

Oros was not going to allow himself to be killed without putting up the last fight, and he screamed in all his rage, pain, and determination as he flared up his Aura again.

The wolf and the dragon clashed again, and Oros showcased a speed that took Qin Feng by surprise.

For the first time in the battle, Oros managed to break past his enemy’s defence, slashing the chest of his enemy and drawing blood from him.

But it came at a cost as he was ruthlessly kicked again with a force that broke several ribs in his body, making him cough blood.

His Aura Soul was barely managing to protect him from the Golden Dragon that seemed hell-bent on devouring him. To make matters worse for him, his reserves were running dry pretty quickly.

Qin Feng was amazed when he watched Oros get back up on his feet, and the determination in the wolf’s eyes made him sigh again.

“You are the first to make me bleed in a long while, Oros.” He smiled as he looked at the wound on his chest.

It was not deep and lethal. He was just taken by surprise but had managed to protect himself at the last moment. Nonetheless, he was impressed by the effort of his enemy and the fact that he was able to get back up after receiving that kick.

Oros, however, was not pleased to hear his words as he could feel that the wound he had left on his enemy was just perfunctory.

‘If only…’ A sudden thought crossed Oros’ mind, and then something unexpected happened.

Qin Feng, who was about to charge again, stopped and stared at the Chieftain of the Hubo clan in astonishment.

The Werewolf’s body suddenly started shining in a white hue, but the very next moment, the Aura outside his body started receding as streaks of red lightning appeared around him, and then those lighting streaks shackled him, taking him prisoner, rendering him incapable of any movements.

“No!!!” Oros pleaded to the heavens as he realised what was happening, and a tear slipped out of his eye when he watched a portal appear in the sky.

The portal was constantly swirling, and it looked rather ominous. Its appearance brought a dreadful pressure, which descended on the ground, and everyone stood rooted in their places with their hearts palpitating in fear.

Qin Feng grimly stared at the portal and gave up the idea of charging at Oros. His instincts told him that it was going to prove very costly if he decided to attack the enemy now. It was not going to be worth it.

He sighed as he stared at the struggling Chieftain of the Hubo tribe.

Fortunately or unfortunately, Oros had reached the completion of the Realm of Primal Desolation at this moment. He was not destined to die here today.

A pillar of red lighting suddenly fell on the Chieftain of the Hubo clan, who was pleading to not be taken away, but his Judgement had come, and when that pillar of lightning disappeared, Oros was gone from this world.

The portal is the sky closed, and everyone breathed a sigh of relief when the pressure on their bodies vanished along with it.

“Kill!” The remaining forces of the Warlords of Nergal shouted, and seeing their decision, the Inheritor of Hades closed his eyes.

“Kill.” He commanded, and his forces rushed at their enemies again.

Half an hour later, there was a deathly silence on the battlefield with bodies littered all around, and Qin Feng stood there staring at the sky, waiting for the group he had sent underground to eliminate all the members of the Hubo Clan hiding there.

Weeds must be eliminated from the roots.

It was the principle he lived by.

“My Lord.” A group of six Vampires exited the tunnel and appeared before him.

“How many were there?” He lightly asked.

“10 elderly, 22 Children, and a woman who was carrying a child,” A man informed him. “All dead.”

Qin Feng sighed in his heart and then glanced at his forces.

They had lost 20 men tonight, but it was an insignificant loss as they had eliminated the two backbone forces of Erra’s Organisation and had gotten rid of his two renowned Warlords.

Yes, Oros was still alive, but he could never come back to this world now.

Despite the victory, however, Qin Feng did not know why he had a sinking feeling in his heart. And then there was this disturbing feeling that he was being watched by someone.

“Did you scan the surroundings?”

“There is no one else in the five-mile radius, My Lord.” An aged Vampire informed him.

“Prepare to leave.” He nodded and then took out a transmitter from his pocket, trying to contact his Intelligence Head to understand what was the situation on Seth and Kemoo’s side.

He hoped that they had successfully dealt with the forces of Nergal who had ambushed them.

“My Lord.”

“What’s the situation?”

There was a brief silence on the other end that made Qin Feng frown.

“We have been trying to get in touch with the two battalions, but we have failed to reach them.” Cerberus informed him. “We have been awaiting your orders to go and check the location where we received the last signal from.”

“Wait for two hours, if you are not contacted before dawn, send a group to the location.” Qin Feng looked at the sky and lightly said. “Give orders to the forces to stay put for a week now. The enemy would be coming after us to make things even.”

“Yes, My Lord.”

“I am afraid they are dead, My Lord.” The aged Vampire, who had heard what Cerberus had said, sadly spoke. “You must not send another group after them. The enemy could be waiting there.” He advised.

Qin Feng nodded to his words and then glanced at the Vampires who had collected the bodies of their fallen comrades.

“Let’s go, Felix. We will personally check the location.” He said and then blurred from his position, rushing towards West.

“Yes, My Lord.” The old man replied and then followed him together with their forces.

A few minutes later, two figures arrived at the entrance of the tunnel that led to the underground settlement where Hubo lived.

“They missed two.” Minami lightly said as she heard two faint breaths from deep inside the settlement.

“Want to go and check?” Keith curiously looked at her, and seeing her nod her head, he entered the tunnel.

“Father.”

“Yes?”

“How strong is Qin Feng?”

“He’s in the Second of the Nine Martial Realms. Nealy at the peak of it.”

“Martial Knight?” She frowned. “But he has not gone through the Martial Tribulation yet. Is he really as strong as a Martial Knight is supposed to be?”

“Yes.” Keith nodded to her. “He is physically stronger than a Martial Knight, but since he has not faced and been baptised by the Martial Tribulations, his Aura and Mana are not as pure as they should be.”

“But once he enters the Lower Heaven, he will have to face the Tribulations he has missed all at once, right?” .

“Yes. And both his Mana and Aura, along with his body, will be baptised.” He informed her.

Minami nodded to him and then glanced at the dead bodies they passed by, which even included some babes. However, there was an indifferent expression on her face.

“What does his decision to kill these children reflect?”

“His weakness.” She smiled and immediately replied. “He killed these children to save himself from future troubles, which means that he considered these insignificant people a threat to him, a Mortal God. A man like him would yearn for peace but never find it.”

Her words brought a smile to his lips.

She was wise beyond her years, and she could see things in a light that most only noticed very late in their lives.

The two of them arrived inside a room, where three bodies lay on the ground with blood pooling underneath them.

These were the bodies of an elderly woman and two children, and by the looks of it, she had tried her best to protect them and lost her life in the cause.

Keith glanced at the children, and just a look was enough for him to tell that these were a pair of fraternal twins, a boy and a girl of around nine years old. And surprisingly, their hearts were still beating, though very slowly.

“They will die in a couple of minutes.” He informed her, which made Minami curiously look at him and then back at the two children who were holding each other’s hands, taking their last breaths. “And they are Oros’ children.”

The words surprised Minami a little and she could sense that her Master had taken interest in these two kids.

And sure enough, she watched him crouch and pour a Potion into the mouths of the two kids.

“Is there anything special about them?” She curiously asked.

“A little.” He nodded as he stood back up, watching their pale face gain some colour as their wounds healed at an alarming rate. “Their blood is very concentrated, just falling short of being considered True-Blood Werewolves.”

“Oh.”

“I will help them purify their blood, and they will give birth to a force which will serve our family.” Keith smiled as he heard their hearts gaining strength.

It was a good day, and he had earned some Fate Value too by eliminating Qin Feng’s two commanders.

Though he did not plan on killing Qin Feng yet, he planned on keeping a check on the forces of Purgatory Island. He was not going to allow the Child of Destiny to accumulate too much power.
