Villain: The Play of Destiny

Chapter 232 232

A sharp clang sounded out when the two blades collided, and Yingying was surprised that Kylian managed to block her move,

She knew she was fast, very fast even for someone on the Spirit Profound Realm, and thus it was only given that she was taken aback when a person who was in the True Profound Realm managed to read through her move and block it.

“Don’t drop your guard. He might surprise you.”

She recalled what Keith had warned her about earlier, and her eyes narrowed in more seriousness.

Twisting her body midair, she coated her free hand in her red Aura, making a blade out of it and slashing it towards Kylian’s face. At the same time, she also brought her sword to her opponent from the other side, Initiating a scissor move.

Kylian felt a chill run up his spine, and though he could read through her move thanks to his mystical eyes, his body was not that of a Cultivator in the Spirit Profound Realm. He was still comparatively slow compared to this agile girl he was fighting against, and realising that he could not dodge it, he unleashed his Aura, armouring his body with it and blocking the move once again.

“No…” He panicked a little when he saw her Aura Blade cutting through his Aura Defence, and immediately spun around, flinging his fist at her face that was unguarded right now.

Yingying did not stop her Aura Blade and simply unleashed her Aura too, which blocked his fist.

*Boom*

A dull explosion sounded out when the fist collided against the head of a red cat made out of Yingying’s Aura, and the next second, Kylian was sent flying away with a trail of blood leaking from his left ribs where the Aura Blade had slashed him.

Kylian tumbled on the ground and after rolling back, he crouched, wincing as he felt the stinging pain on his left chest.

“How can you be in Spirit Profound Realm?!” He asked in disbelief when he looked at the feral Avatar that surrounded the Chinese girl.

The onlookers were shocked too as they could guess that Yingying was in her twenties, and someone who reaches the Spirit Profound Realm before the age of thrifty could only be classified as a monster to their understanding.

Yingying did not pay any heed to their shocked looks and rushed at Kylian again, whose face contorted into an ugly expression.

“Ahh!!” He bellowed angrily as he rushed forward too, but in a blink of an eye, he was rising in the air before he fell like a broken kite.

Ginara winced at Yingying’s cruelty as she looked at the bloodied figure of Kylian. She had not even seen clearly what had happened just now, all she could make out was that Yingying’s Aura Beast, which was a red cat, had slashed Kylian and ripped his Aura Armour through dozens of slashes performed within a second.

Gerald took a step forward when he saw Yingying walk over to his fallen son with her sword in hand, but then he stopped and lowered his head.

He was a father, but a Sect Master too. And as the Sect Master of the Sect of Dusk, it was not right for him to interfere in a duel for Honour that his son had initiated. But much to his relief, he heard a voice that made his heart skip a beat in hope.

“Enough.”

Keith stopped Yingying from approaching Kylian and end his life. He had just received a System Prompt and he knew that the Spirit Eyes would warp him away from this world if Kylian’s life is threatened, and Yingying was at risk of getting caught in the shattering space which would kill her.

“Yes, Master.” She did not hesitate and immediately sheathed her blade again before walking back to him, but her instincts suddenly screamed at her, and she felt a chill run up her spine.

“Kylian!” Gerald called out in disbelief as she watched his son lunge at Yingying’s back with his sabre, but even before he had called out his name, the sabre had been stopped by a bare hand that caught it.

Kylian dumbfoundedly stared at Keith, whose dark brown eyes were coldly boring into him, and then he felt chills up his spine when he saw and heard the cracks appear on his Sabre.

“You attacked the back of your opponent who pardoned your life, Mr. Kylian.”

Those words thundered in the Child of Destiny’s mind, and finally, some clarity returned to it.

“I-I…”

“Your despicable action warrants death, Mr. Kylian.” He coldly said, and then smiled as the Child of Destiny stumbled back in fear.

Keith glanced at Gerald and found the old man glaring at his son in anger and disgust. Kylian’s action was no longer something that could be pardoned, and he smiled in his heart.

“Leave.” He turned to look at Kylian, who was frozen in his place with his head lowered, and then casually turned around to walk inside the cottage, holding Yingying by her hand.

“I don’t need your pity…” Kylian was about to spout some nonsense, but his words were cut short when Gerald punched him in the gut, aggravating his already serious injuries.

Kylian could not even cry out in the excruciating pain. He struggled to breathe, and without being given any time to recover, he was dragged away by his father who held him as if he was a bag of trash.

Though the Elders wanted to step forward and apologise to Keith again, they understood that it was better to not disturb him now. Excessive apologies were unkind, and Kylian had to be punished first before they could come forward and apologise with sincerity.

Ignoring the curiosity in Minami’s eyes, who was confused why Keith let Kylian go just now, he planted a kiss on Yingying’s cheek before lying on the couch and closing his eyes.

“Show me Kylian’s information.” He spoke in his mind, and soon a panel appeared before him that held Kylian Dusk’s updated information.

[Initializing Host’s request…]

[Subject: Kylian Dusk]

[Child of Destiny; Grade A]

[Age: 26]

[Race: Human (Auror)]

[Status: The second Young Master of the Sect of Dusk.]

[Cultivation Rank: True Profound Realm (Initial Stage)]

[Special Physique: The Spirit Eyes]

[Cultivation Talent: Purple]

[Strength: 10]

[Constitution: 13]

[Speed & Reflexes: 20]

(10 is the average

limit for Cultivators in Spirit Profound Realm)

[Charm: 90]

[Fate: 2445 (Fluctuating)]

He had farmed over 1400 Fate Value from Kylian so far, but he was still a little over 500 points short of the threshold he needed to touch to harvest all of Kylian’s Fate Value. But that was not going to be possible now.

He no longer cared about those 500 points as he could sense that Kylian’s days in this world were numbered. He could he warped away from here in just a couple of days. And it meant that he had to be killed now.

Killing Kylian was going to earn him 1930 Fate Value, and the rest of the 515 Points would be lost. But Keith was not disheartened over it. He had already harvested more Fate Value than he thought would be possible to harvest without the Child of Destiny’s Heroines present in this world.

But then again, he was not pleased either as he realised that given more time, he could have harvested all of these points too.

Kylian was too fragile and dumb, and he was just a cash cow that did not need too much attention.

Just now, after his loss at Yingying’s hands, and then the humiliation he had thrown at him had earned him over 200 Fate Value.

[Host must take every caution when he sets out to kill Kylian Dusk. His Fate Value is Fluctuating and would soon see a rise, and when that happens, he would be warped out of his world.]

“I know.” He nodded.

He had to make it quick. Very quick. Failure was not an option here as he had to get his hands on the Spirit Eyes at all costs.

An Enemy with this Weapon would become very dangerous if given time and Keith knew that he was already destined to have his hands full with enemies in the future, and the Power of this weapon could gravely harm him and his family.

“I am sorry, Master…” Gina immediately knelt down when he opened his eyes, and he sighed at her words.

“Whatever happened was not your fault. But I still accept your apology. Go and tell your grandfather to not worry about anything.”

“Thank you!”

His words made the silly girl smile, and she immediately got up on her feet to go and tell her grandfather what Keith had just said.

Elder Zola was restless and still outside the cottage, fearing that Keith must be angry at what had happened today. And right next to him was the old man Bal, who was just as worried as he was the one who understood how powerful Keith actually was.

Keith smiled as he glanced at Minami, who was listening to everything that the two Elders outside the cottage were discussing after Gina conveyed them his words.

“What are they planning?”

“Old man Bal wants Kylian dead, but they are at least going to press Sect Master Gerald to expel Kylian from the Sect and to disassociate with him completely.” She informed him and then her curious black eyes looked into his eyes. “Why did you not kill him?”

“If I did, I would have had to kill everyone present there too.” He smiled at her. “Don’t need all the hassle.”

She sweetly smiled at his words and nodded her head.

It was clear to her that Keith was not going to let Kylian live after he attempted to stab Yingying in the back. She was just curious about why he did not do it right then and there.

“I will keep an eye on him.” She told him, much to Yingying’s curiosity.

“How?”

“Squirrels.” She smiled again before she picked up the sleeping fox from the couch and walked out of the cottage. 𝘯𝘰𝘷𝘭.𝑜𝘳𝘨

“She can talk to squirrels too?”

“She can talk to all animals.” Keith chuckled as he found his Shadow brimming with curiosity that she was finding hard to contain anymore.

“Oh…”
