Villain MMORPG: Almighty Devil Emperor and His Seven Demonic Wives

Chapter 937 (Un)professional Chef

Villain Ch 937. (Un)professional Chef

Walking through the mansion, Allen felt a sense of satisfaction. Everything was coming together perfectly. The intimate setting he was creating, promised an evening of fun, excitement, and maybe a little bit of chaos. He couldn’t wait to see the looks on the girls’ faces when they arrived and saw what he had prepared.

So yes, rather than heading online to Hell’s Gate, Allen found himself going straight to the kitchen after he got home. His sudden appearance surprised the kitchen staff, who were used to having the space to themselves. They looked up in mild shock as he walked in, rolling up his sleeves with a determined expression.

“Mr. Allen?” one of the chefs asked, wiping her hands on a towel. “Is everything all right?”

Allen smiled warmly. “Everything’s fine, Maria. I just need the kitchen for a while. I’m preparing something special for tonight.”

The staff exchanged curious glances but nodded, stepping back to give him space. “Of course, Mr. Allen. Let us know if you need any help,” Maria said, her curiosity evident.

“Thank you, Maria. I’ll let you know if I do,” Allen replied. He appreciated their willingness to accommodate him, but for tonight, he wanted to handle things himself. He needed to prepare ahead, especially the cake. It had been a long time since he last tried to make one, and he wanted it to be perfect.

He surveyed the well-stocked kitchen. The large marble countertops, the professional-grade appliances, and the neatly organized pantry all spoke of a space designed for serious culinary endeavors. It was so different from what he usually had at his apartment. Luckily, he didn’t need to go grocery shopping, as the mansion’s pantry held all the ingredients he needed.

He started with the cake, carefully measuring out flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and other ingredients. As he mixed them together, memories of baking with his grandmother as a child came flooding back. The sweet smell of vanilla and chocolate filled the air, bringing a sense of nostalgia and comfort.

While the cake batter was coming together, he moved on to preparing the pasta. He chose a creamy Alfredo sauce, knowing it would be a hit with the girls. He finely chopped garlic and parsley, grated fresh Parmesan, and set a pot of water to boil for the pasta. The rhythmic motions of chopping and stirring were soothing. “Can we help you?” Emma’s voice suddenly came from the corner. Allen glanced up, surprised to see both Emma and Azura standing there. Emma had a curious look on her face, while Azura seemed downright astonished to find Allen in the kitchen, sleeves rolled up, clearly in the middle of cooking.

“Hey, what’s up?” Allen said, trying to sound casual, though he could feel a flush of heat rise to his cheeks. He wasn’t used to his family seeing him like this, especially not Emma and Azura.

Emma walked closer, peering over his shoulder at his preparation. “I didn’t expect to see you here, in the kitchen of all places,” she said with a teasing smile. “Are you sure you don’t need any help?”

Azura, still standing by the doorway, crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow. “Cooking? You? What’s the occasion?”

Allen laughed, a bit sheepishly. “I’m having my girlfriends over tonight, and I wanted to make something special for them. Thought I’d handle it myself.”

Emma pouted, crossing her arms in a mock display of hurt. “So, you’re cooking for them, but not for us?” she teased, her eyes twinkling with mischief.

Azura, still looking a bit taken aback, chimed in. “I never knew you could cook, Allen. You always seemed like the type who’d just order in.”

Allen chuckled, shaking his head. “I lived alone before, remember? Of course, I can cook. It’s a basic skill to survive.” He kept stirring the sauce without missing a beat, his movements fluid and confident.

Emma moved closer. “Are you sure you aren’t secretly a chef? You look like a professional,” she remarked, genuinely impressed by his seamless multitasking.

Allen held back a cringe, knowing full well that what he was doing was far from professional-level cooking. “Believe me, this is far from professional,” he replied, trying to downplay his efforts.

But Emma wasn’t having it. “Come on. You’re making a cake, pasta, and a salad all at once. That’s more than just basic cooking.”

Azura nodded in agreement, her curiosity piqued. “What’s the occasion, really? This seems like a lot of effort for a simple hangout.”

Allen sighed, deciding there was no harm in sharing a bit more. “It’s a special night. I want everything to be perfect. We’re planning something different, something fun.”

Azura raised an eyebrow, sensing there was more to the story. “Different how?”

Allen paused, glancing at his sister and cousin with a smirk on his lips. “It’s a secret,” he teased, enjoying the suspense.

“Huh?” Azura said, clearly puzzled.

Emma shook her head from side to side, surprised at how slow Azura was to catch on. She waved her hand to Azura, motioning for her to come closer. Azura approached, still frowning in confusion.

“What?” Azura asked, her brows furrowed.

Emma leaned in, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. “They will…” She trailed off, gesturing with her hands in an intimate movement that made Azura’s eyes widen in realization.

“Oh!” Azura exclaimed, finally understanding. She looked at Allen with a mixture of surprise and amusement. “Well, that certainly explains all the effort you’re putting in.”

Allen laughed, shaking his head. “Yeah, it’s going to be an interesting night. I just want to make sure everything is perfect for them.”

Emma and Azura exchanged knowing looks before Azura turned to Allen again. “But there are seven of them, right? How can you handle them?” Azura asked, her tone a mix of confusion and curiosity.

Allen paused, considering his response. The truth was, handling seven girlfriends was no small feat, but he’d managed to balance their needs and personalities so far. This night, however, was about more than just handling.
