Chapter 703 The Valkyrie Among The Crowd
Villain Ch 703. The Valkyrie Among The Crowd
“What are you doing here?” Allen asked, his voice filled with genuine curiosity. Without a second thought, he swung his leg off his motorcycle and locked it, his attention fully on Azura.
Azura blinked in surprise, a soft chuckle escaping her lips at Allen’s spontaneous approach. “That should be my line,” she replied, her tone laced with amusement. She tried to contain the grin threatening to spread across her face, still taken aback by the unexpected encounter.
Her laid eyes on Allen. A flurry of emotions surged within her. Her heart quickened its pace, thudding against her chest with an intensity that she couldn’t ignore. It was a curious mixture of excitement and nervousness, the kind that accompanies unexpected encounters with someone special.
Each beat seemed to echo the anticipation coursing through her veins, as if her heart was trying to convey the urgency of the moment. Despite her attempts to maintain composure, she couldn’t deny the rush of adrenaline that swept over her, leaving her feeling breathless yet exhilarated at the same time.
Allen couldn’t help but notice how Azura seemed both surprised and delighted to see him. It was a pleasant surprise, considering they hadn’t planned to meet here. He remembered Emma mentioning Azura’s impending visit to Goldborne’s mansion, but he hadn’t expected it to happen so soon, let alone at the train station.
“I came here to take some photos,” Allen explained, lifting his camera to show Azura.
“Of me?” Azura asked, her voice tinged with surprise and disbelief. Her heart skipped a beat as she met Allen’s gaze, wondering if she was the subject of his photography.
Allen couldn’t help but suppress a cringe at her assumption. “Of the city and the crowd,” he quickly clarified, gesturing towards the bustling station around them. He didn’t want Azura to feel uncomfortable or self-conscious, especially if she thought he was secretly capturing her image without her consent.
Azura’s cheeks flushed with embarrassment at her misunderstanding. “Oh…” she murmured, her disappointment evident in her tone. She shifted her gaze away, suddenly feeling self-conscious under Allen’s scrutiny.
“I just found out you’re a photographer,” Azura remarked, trying to steer the conversation away from her earlier assumption. She hoped to salvage the moment and maintain some semblance of normalcy between them.
“Nope, this is just a hobby, a side gig,” Allen clarified, eager to dispel any misunderstanding.
Azura raised an eyebrow, her curiosity piqued. “So you take random photos and sell them on the internet?” she probed, seeking confirmation.
“Kinda,” Allen replied with a shrug. “But I mostly focus on capturing the scenery and the hustle and bustle of the city,” he explained. “I don’t upload random people’s photos without their consent,” he added quickly, wanting to reassure Azura and adhere to ethical photography practices.
After all, respecting people’s privacy was paramount, especially in this digital age where photos could easily be shared and disseminated online.
“Ah, you’re right,” said Azura, relieved that Allen understood her predicament. She glanced around, taking in the unfamiliar surroundings. The bustling street was lined with shops and cafes, each one seemingly more enticing than the last. But without a local guide, Azura was at a loss as to where to go.
“Anyway—” Allen began, but Azura didn’t want to waste any time. She needed to find a place to sit and gather her thoughts.
“Do you know a nice café around here? I’m a little thirsty,” she quickly interjected, hoping Allen would have a suggestion.
“I think I know,” Allen replied, nodding confidently. He gestured for Azura to follow him as he led the way down the street.
“Great!” Azura said in excitement.

“Follow me,” Allen said, his voice confident as he led the way to his motorcycle. Azura trailed behind him, feeling a mix of excitement and apprehension. Once they reached the sleek, black bike, Allen reached for a spare helmet and handed it to her.
Azura accepted the helmet, her fingers brushing against Allen’s as she took it from him. She hesitated for a moment, uncertainty flickering in her eyes as she glanced at Allen, who was already straddling the motorcycle.
Allen frowned slightly, sensing Azura’s hesitation. “What are you doing? Hop on,” he urged, gesturing to the back of the motorcycle. He could see the uncertainty written all over her face, but he was determined to show her a good time.
‘I’ve never ridden a motorcycle before,’ she thought, pressing her lips. Her nervousness took over her mind and could feel she was a bit panic.
Azura bit her lip, torn between her curiosity and her fear of the unknown. She had expected Allen to take her to a nearby café, not whisk her away on a motorcycle ride through the city. But there was something undeniably thrilling about the prospect, something that made her heart race with excitement.
“Don’t worry, I won’t kidnap you,” Allen reassured Azura with a playful grin, noticing her hesitation.
Azura’s cheeks flushed even more at Allen’s teasing remark. “No, I never think like that,” she replied quickly, eager to dispel any notion of fear or suspicion. Hastily, she settled onto the motorcycle behind him and pulled the helmet over her head and secured it in place, preparing herself for the ride ahead.
He couldn’t help but chuckle at her response, finding her blush endearing.
Once Allen revved the engine, Azura felt a surge of excitement mixed with nervousness. The roar of the motorcycle drowned out any other sounds, and she clung tightly to Allen’s back, her heart racing with anticipation.
After a moment, Allen leaned forward, ready to start their journey. “After this, you want to visit Goldborne’s mansion, right?” he asked casually, his voice muffled slightly by the helmet.
Azura’s eyes widened in surprise at Allen’s question. How did he know about her plans to visit the mansion? She hadn’t mentioned it to anyone yet, except Emma. And today’s visit was her sudden decision.
