Chapter 481 Surrounded
Chapter 481 Surrounded
Villain Ch 481. Surrounded
A peculiar phenomenon unfolded before their eyes. The parchment levitated in his hand, quivering with an eerie, crimson glow. It seemed to be drawn towards the skull, as if it were reaching out to its skeletal counterpart.
Simultaneously, the ground beneath them began to shake with intensity, making their footing uncertain. The entire chamber seemed to resonate with the turmoil of the dungeon. The skull emitted a haunting and anguished wail, a sound that echoed through the chamber. It was a clear, albeit spine-chilling, response to the letter’s approach. The room was filled with a sense of foreboding, as if they had triggered something much larger than themselves.
Caught in the midst of this mysterious and unsettling turn of events, Allen and the girls turned in all directions, their eyes scanning the chamber’s dimly lit corners. They pressed their backs together, forming a protective circle. Each of them held their weapons at the ready, anticipation etched across their faces.
Their shared expectation was palpable, for it was undeniable that the series of strange occurrences was bound to lead to something significant.
Once the tremors subsided, the chamber was overtaken by an eerie silence. In a sudden twist of events, five ghostly players emerged, forming a circle around Allen and the girls. These apparitions stood out from the previous ghosts they had encountered; their attire was markedly different. Clad in tattered yet once-elegant garments, it was evident that these specters held a higher status in their previous lives, their uniforms now muddied and drenched in old bloodstains.
The peculiar juxtaposition of their regal attire and their ghastly pallor added to the unsettling atmosphere. It was a stark reminder of the tragic and gruesome history that seemed to linger within the dungeon’s confines.
Assassin Military Chief Ghost (Boss) <Level 120>
Knight Military Chief Ghost (Boss) <Level 122>
Priestess Military Chief Ghost (Boss) <Level 124>
Hunter Military Chief Ghost (Boss) <Level 125>
Magic Scholar Military Chief Ghost (Boss) <Level 123>
Allen and his group felt an overwhelming sense of dread that sent their hearts racing. Panic swept over them, rendering them momentarily speechless in the face of this dire predicament. The realization that they were now confronted with not just one, but five strong boss monsters was almost inconceivable. Each of these apparitions possessed levels exceeding 120, making this situation all the more daunting.
The hunter, with a sinister air about him, prepared his bow, his voice resonating with a chilling intensity as he muttered, “Intruders… must die…” It was a haunting declaration that sent shivers down their spines.
The knight, his vacant eyes seemingly devoid of emotion, added to the disconcerting ambiance. His hollow gaze fixed on Allen and the others as he intoned, “We have to protect this facility at all costs…”
The priestess, with a disconcertingly soothing yet haunting voice, expressed a plea for her comrades, even as she spoke in ominous tones, saying, “I can heal… I still can cure your wounds… please don’t die…” Her words carried a surreal weight, invoking a sense of despair rather than comfort.
Amidst the eerie, oppressive atmosphere of their encounter with the ghostly bosses, Bella couldn’t help but shoot a sidelong glance at Allen. Her gaze, though focused on the apparitions, held a subtle hint of amusement as she remarked, “You know what? Your sister surely knows how to prank people and trigger their emotions.” The ghosts’ appearance and their unsettling statements seemed orchestrated to tug at the heartstrings and send shivers down one’s spine. “I mean, look at them,” she continued, her voice tinged with irony. “They look so messed up as if we had tortured them and thrown them into eternal damnation.”
Allen tried to find a silver lining in this nightmarish scenario. “Well, look at the bright side,” he quipped, attempting to inject a touch of positivity into the situation. “None of the players will think we are players.” It was a grim, albeit accurate, observation; the illusion of their sinister past actions, likely orchestrated by Emma, had successfully cast them as sinister grand villains.
“So what’s your plan?” Zoe’s question was both a plea for guidance and a reminder that they needed to coordinate effectively, or else the odds against them would become insurmountable.
Allen stepped up with a sense of resolve. The weight of this challenge was not lost on him. “We will deal with them as best we can,” he declared, his voice steadier than it had any right to be. “But if this gets out of our hands, we will retreat.”
It was a simple yet crucial plan. In the face of this unprecedented and daunting confrontation, acknowledging the possibility of a tactical withdrawal was a prudent choice.
Shea claimed her role in their impromptu battle strategy. “Got it,” she affirmed. Her fingers caressed the strings of her harp as she readied herself for the impending clash. “I and Jane will take care of their minions,” Shea stated.
Bella made her decision promptly. “I’ll spam my skill area,” she declared. In challenging battles like this one, her area of effect spells could make a significant difference.
Vivian correctly anticipated their next move. Her gaze settled on Allen as she questioned him, “Are you going to take care of the knight?” She maintained a calm demeanor, even as the daunting boss monsters closed in on them.
Allen locked his gaze on the assassin, whose poisoned blades exuded a particularly sinister aura. “No, the assassin,” he affirmed. The poison looked different than the others and it reminded him of the special poison that had a special attribute to put players into a coma. It was high-level items of course, but since those monsters were NPCs, it didn’t rule out the possibility that they got it faster than the players.
“He’s more dangerous,” said Allen again. His voice was steady, and his narrowed eyes revealed his unwavering focus. The assassin, with his potential to incapacitate them, posed a more immediate threat, and Allen’s prioritization reflected that awareness.
“Okay,” Zoe chimed in, sharing her excitement with the team. She reveled in the impending challenge, and her fighting spirit ignited. “Since we have our target, let’s take care of them.”
