Chapter 1892: Not Visiting Hours
Chapter 1892: Not Visiting Hours
Villain Ch 1892. Not Visiting Hours
The nurses came first. Their bodies moved like dolls out of sync with their strings. Heads tilted too far, necks snapping back into place every few steps. Their uniforms were pristine—snow-white with a thin red cross—but their skin underneath was pale and bloated, like they’d been soaked in formaldehyde too long. One dragged an IV stand behind her, the bags still dripping. The other pushed a wheelchair with no one in it. Her fingers were broken backward but still gripped the handles.
Then came the doctor.
He looked… intact. At first.
Tall. Lean. His coat was buttoned neatly to the neck, glasses perched perfectly. Clipboard in one hand. The kind of guy you’d trust with bad news.
But his mouth was stitched shut with black thread. Tight. Like someone didn’t want him to talk.
So instead—he smiled.
A long, slow, too-wide smile that curved beneath the stitches.
He raised a hand and tapped his clipboard once, sharply.
And more things slithered in behind them.
Shadows.
Not human-shaped. Wrong-shaped.
One of them had three heads that blinked in and out of place like faulty animations. Another dragged itself with limbs that scraped the walls, leaving smears of ink. Their bodies twitched, as if remembering how to move.
The system pinged in Allen’s vision.
[Incoming Enemies Detected!]
[Nurse Hollow – Lv. 310]
[Nurse Hollow – Lv. 310]
[Doctor Suture – Lv. 350 – Cursed Variant]
[Shadow Attendant – Lv. 290] X4
[Subordinate of the Groom – Lv. 300 – Elite] X2
Allen narrowed his eyes.
The doctor tapped the clipboard again. His stitched lips didn’t move, but his voice—
It echoed anyway.
“You’re not on the schedule. These aren’t visiting hours.”
And then they charged.
The nurses moved like spiders—low, skittering, eyes glowing. One launched the IV pole like a spear. Zoe caught it mid-air with her tentacle and snapped it in half, ichor spraying.
The second nurse lunged for Bella. Bella twisted, ducked under the attack, and slammed her heel into its ribs—once, twice, tails flicking for balance. “I hate hospitals!” she shouted.
The shadows swarmed next. One lunged for Shea. Feathers flew—dozens—each one slicing through the air like daggers. The shadow recoiled, but another came from below. Shea lifted her harp and plucked, sending a shrieking soundwave down the corridor.
The floor buckled.
Jane raised her arms. “Bone Wall!”
A jagged line of skeletal defense burst from the tile, blocking three shadows in a narrow corridor.
“Left side!” Allen barked.
Vivian launched into a spin, her whip flashing. “I’ve got it!” She lashed two shadows across the face, tearing ichor and smoke in bursts of pink flame.
Alice floated overhead, broom twirling beneath her. “I’ll clean house.” She hurled a Void Sphere into the center of the hallway. It pulled—ripping one Shadow Attendant off its path and slamming it against the wall before it exploded in black static.
Larissa lunged at one of the Subordinates of the Groom. He was tall, dressed like a warped groomsman in a blood-drenched tuxedo. His face had no features—just smooth skin like a wax mask. But he fought fast. Claws like razors, slashing wildly.
She grinned, caught his wrist mid-swipe, and bit down on his throat.
He thrashed. Screamed.
She drank.
Allen moved through the chaos, blade drawn low, eyes locked on the doctor.
Doctor Suture hadn’t moved.
Still standing there.
Still smiling.
Then he lifted his hand and snapped.
The lights blew out.
All of them.
Darkness crashed down like a velvet curtain soaked in oil.
But Allen wasn’t blind.
He felt them.
The aura radiated outward again—pushing the dark aside in a ten-meter radius like a pressure wave. His senses sharpened. Every heartbeat. Every breath. Every shift of cloth and twitch of muscle.
He turned. Swung.
His sword carved straight through a Nurse Hollow’s neck. The body froze, still walking for two steps before its head hit the floor with a wet plop.
[Critical Hit!]
[Nurse Hollow (Lv. 310) Defeated.]
The doctor didn’t even blink.
Allen charged him.
The doctor moved fast. Faster than he should’ve. He ducked under the blade, spun his clipboard like a weapon, and cracked it against Allen’s side.
It hurt. Sharp, precise. Like it knew where his ribs were.
Allen winced. Recovered. Slammed his elbow into the doctor’s throat.
The man staggered back, stitched mouth twitching violently.
Allen pressed.
He went low—kicked the doctor’s leg out—and as the bastard fell, Allen brought the blade down in a clean arc.
But it stopped midair.
The doctor caught it.
With one hand.
And then he pulled a pen from his coat pocket.
Clicked it.
And jammed it into Allen’s shoulder.
Pain flared—ice-cold and hot at the same time.
A system message flashed.
[You’ve been afflicted with: Cursed Injection]
[-10% Defense and -10% Healing received for 60 seconds.]
Allen snarled.
“You’re gonna regret that.”
He twisted with the blade still stuck, driving his forehead into the doctor’s face.
There was a satisfying crunch.
The doctor reeled, mask cracked.
Allen pulled the pen out of his shoulder and jammed it back into the doctor’s eye.
Now he screamed.
Allen yanked his blade free and spun—bringing it down with all the force of his boosted aura.
The slash split the doctor open from clavicle to pelvis.
He dropped like a butchered scarecrow.
[Doctor Suture Defeated.]
But it wasn’t over.
The Subordinates of the Groom were still up. Shadows still slithering. Jane was panting now, bleeding from a long cut across her thigh. Shea had taken a hit to her shoulder, feathers slick with ichor. Zoe had wrapped two enemies, but one had slipped past her guard and landed a shallow cut down her ribs.
Allen didn’t slow.
He surged toward the Subordinate Larissa hadn’t finished yet. It turned toward him too late.
He rammed his sword through its back—felt the spine snap.
Then grabbed the tuxedoed freak by the back of the neck and slammed him into the floor so hard the tiles shattered.
The shadow twitched once.
Then stopped.
Smoke curled up from its body.
And behind him—
Elise was still on the floor.
Hugging her ghostly grandmother.
Neither moved.
