Capítulo 1840: Faith Doesn’t Fly

Villain Ch 1840. Faith Doesn’t Fly

Allen was already on him. His blade punched upward, sliding under Arcana’s broken guard. The steel rammed through his gut, bursting out between his wings.

Arcana gasped, blood spraying across Allen’s face. “Y-you—”

Allen leaned close, smile wide, eyes lit with manic cruelty. “Faith doesn’t fly here.”

He twisted the blade.

Arcana’s scream turned into a choked gargle as blood poured from his mouth, wings spasming helplessly. His relic rose, trembling in the dark air.

Allen caught it with a flick of his hand.

[Slain by: The Emperor.]

Arcana’s body slipped free, wings folding inward as he plummeted toward the plaza, trailing blood like a falling star.

Three relics.

Three corpses.

The night sky belonged to the Emperor.

Elio’s arms shook as he hovered in the sky, wings beating raggedly against the choking weight of Allen’s aura. His chest heaved, blood smeared across his lips, and his hands trembled around the hilt of his blade. Rage boiled in his veins. Fear clawed at his throat.

But he didn’t back down.

Allen floated across from him like a dark star, wings spread wide, black feathers shimmering with abyssal fire. His crimson eyes glowed, and his smirk curved sharp as a blade. “Still flapping?” His voice carried over the battlefield below. “Stubborn little insect.”

“RAAAH!” Elio roared, wings flaring as he dove. He didn’t care if his body broke, if his relic was ripped from his corpse, if Allen tore him apart midair. He just wanted the truth—even if it killed him over and over again.

The plaza below was no longer a plaza. It was a graveyard. The floor glistened red, slick with blood that dripped from the sky like rain. Smoke curled from cracked stones where Allen’s abyssal shockwaves had split the earth. The stench of iron and charred flesh filled the night. Screams lingered like ghosts in the air, echoes that clung to the stone.

Elio’s allies were gone.

All their relics stolen, gleaming in Allen’s possession.

And still that smirk.

That goddamn smirk.

Elio’s blade came down in a furious arc, wings trailing fire as he slashed with everything he had.

Allen didn’t even block. He stepped in midair, wings beating once to twist his body. Steel screamed past his shoulder harmlessly. Then Allen’s knee drove into Elio’s gut with bone-cracking force.

The impact made the air wheeze from his lungs, feathers bursting from his wings as he lurched forward. Pain exploded through his ribs.

“Pathetic,” Allen muttered like a bored butcher. He spun with fluid grace and backhanded Elio across the face with the flat of his blade.

The world spun. Blood sprayed from Elio’s lip. He tumbled in the air, barely catching himself with frantic wingbeats.

But he didn’t stop. Couldn’t stop. He slashed low, blade carving a desperate streak through the night.

Allen parried with a lazy flick, sparks cascading like dying stars, then twisted his wrist and slammed an elbow into Elio’s jaw.

-CRACK!

Elio’s vision went white. Stars burst. His ears rang. He reeled, wings faltering, feathers scattering into the night.

“Come on,” Allen said softly, hovering close enough that Elio could smell the metallic tang of blood on his breath. “You wanted the truth. Don’t collapse on me now.”

Elio spat blood in his face. “Fck you!”

Allen chuckled, slow and cruel. “Better.”

Then he let Elio’s blade scrape across his chestplate. Sparks flew, shrieking against steel. No damage. Not even a dent.

Allen’s smirk widened. “That’s it. The desperation I like.”

Then he vanished.

Shadow Step.

Black mist tore the air, a rush of displaced wind whistling through Elio’s feathers. Allen appeared behind him—boot slamming into his back.

Elio coughed blood, spiraling forward. He snapped his wings wide to recover—too slow.

Allen blurred again. Another Shadow Step. This time to his left. A flash of steel—

Agony ripped through Elio’s shoulder. Blood spattered into the night. His sword hand almost went numb, the hilt slick with his own blood.

Allen didn’t let up. He turned it into a game, carving him apart midair.

A slash across the thigh—forcing Elio to dip lower, his wingbeat faltering.

A stab into his side—shallow, precise, just deep enough to make him scream.

A kick into his ribs—snapping bone, sending him spinning, wings straining to stabilize.

Allen laughed as he pursued, wings beating with effortless rhythm, every strike graceful and cruel.

The sky was his hunting ground. Elio was just prey.

Then Allen’s blade slashed across Elio’s left wing.

Feathers exploded. Bone cracked. A line of burning pain split him open as his wing nearly tore in two.

Elio shrieked, tumbling, blood trailing behind him in a crimson arc. His flight faltered, body lurching sideways like a kite with broken strings.

Allen was there instantly, hovering above him, crimson eyes lit with manic joy. “Truth?” His voice was silk and venom. “Here’s the truth—”

His sword flashed again. This time across Elio’s right wing.

The cut was cruel. Deep. Blood spurted across Allen’s face as Elio’s wing shredded, feathers scattering like dying stars across the night sky.

Elio screamed, body convulsing, wings half useless now. He plummeted in a spiral, flapping desperately, every beat jerking and broken.

Allen followed him down, slow and casual, boots leaving black trails of abyssal energy in the air.

“You’re not worth killing quickly.” His tone was gentle now, almost affectionate. “But tearing your wings? That’s worth savoring.”

Elio forced himself upright mid-fall, wings trembling, barely keeping him from crashing. His chest burned, his body screamed. Blood soaked his armor, dripping from his shredded feathers. His sword shook in his hand, but he raised it anyway.

Allen laughed loud, wild, his voice rattling through Elio’s bones. “Yes! Break yourself for me! Give me everything before you fall!” His evil grin on his lips.

Elio dove, roaring, their blades colliding with a storm of sparks. Steel shrieked, feathers scattered, blood rained on the plaza below. He pushed with everything he had, veins on fire, lungs tearing themselves apart.

Allen leaned in effortlessly, their faces inches apart, smirk stretched razor-sharp.

“You’re shaking again.”

Elio spat blood into his grin. “You… are… Him.”
