Chapter 1793: A Villain Who Forgot to Act Like One
Villain Ch 1793. A Villain Who Forgot to Act Like One
The ground trembled.
Not from battle, not from magic—but from the system’s pulse. The final echo of the quest faded like a heartbeat sliding into sleep.
[You will now be returned to your previous location]
[3… 2… 1…]
The light swelled fast—no warning, no time to say one last word to the throne behind them. Just a soft weightless moment, then the world blinked.
And they were back.
The Crypts. Their hall.
The long stretch of dark stone, the glow of enchanted torches, the velvet-lined couches, the polished floor reflecting their shadows. Everything was still the same. No fanfare. No transition effect. It was like they’d never left.
But they had.
Oh, they had.
No one said anything right away. No jokes. No jabs. No teasing about battle stats or “who screamed the loudest during the boss fight.”
Just… silence.
A good one.
The kind that wrapped around your shoulders like a thick blanket after a war.
Allen stood at the center, his Devil Emperor form restored. The black infernal armor. The long cloak that rippled slightly behind him. The curved horns. The aura that still whispered “danger” even when muted.
But he wasn’t in Demonic Form anymore.
And for some reason… he looked soft.
That was the weirdest part. He didn’t even change facial expressions, didn’t lose his edge. But somehow, with the battle over, his entire presence shifted. The hardness in his jaw relaxed. His shoulders weren’t braced for war. His eyes—still glowing faintly—had that tired but warm gleam in them.
He looked like he needed a nap.
Or a hug.
And the girls?
They felt it all at once. That ache in their chest. That pull.
Larissa was the first to move.
She didn’t say anything—just walked up to him like it was the most normal thing, reached up, and brushed her thumb under his eye. No dirt. No blood. Just… checking.
He blinked at her. A bit startled.
“You okay?” she asked.
His mouth twitched. “I’m fine.”
She raised a brow, skeptical. But didn’t press.
The others followed.
Shea moved to his other side, feather-light fingers running down his arm. “You know…” she said softly, “you really do look loveable like this.”
Allen gave a tired smile. “Hey. I’m always loveable.”
Bella snorted. “You wish. Sometimes you’re just… frustrating. Like, annoyingly perfect or cold as hell. And then you pull this crap—” she gestured to all of him, “—and I don’t know which one I like more. Dark mode or… this.”
Alice leaned on a nearby chair, watching him with that unreadable expression of hers. “Not always loveable,” she said, voice cool. “Sometimes you’re spicy. Sometimes distant. Sometimes you make us guess what you’re really thinking. Like you want us close… but not too close.”
Allen tilted his head. “That’s just… strategy.”
“Uh huh,” Jane muttered from behind, clearly unimpressed.
Vivian didn’t even say anything. She just walked right up, curled her whip back into her inventory, and reached out to trace his jaw with her nails. Slowly. “I like this mode,” she murmured. “You look… tame. I mean, dangerously tame. Like a villain who forgot to act like one.”
He laughed under his breath, and it came out soft, quiet, but so human that it did something to them. Not charming, not cocky. Just… real.
Zoe stood a bit apart, arms folded, but her gaze was locked on him. “First time I’ve seen you like this,” she said. “In-game.”
“Same,” Larissa said, not moving her hand from his cheek.
Allen’s gaze moved between them.
And then, like someone flipped a switch—
He sat back on the dark throne behind him.
He didn’t pose. Didn’t go full boss mode. He just leaned back with that quiet smile, one hand resting on the armrest, the other relaxed in his lap. The aura around him still buzzed faintly—but it didn’t push them away.
It invited.
That was all the permission they needed.
Bella moved first, grabbing his hand and sitting sideways on the throne arm, her legs slung across his thighs like she’d done it a thousand times. “If you’re not gonna command us, at least let us pamper you.”
“You’re not even asking if I want that,” he said dryly.
“Nope,” she replied sweetly, already leaning down to kiss his temple. “You deserve it.”
Shea dropped onto the floor by his legs, resting her chin on his knee like a satisfied cat. “Let us spoil you. We’ll make it worth it.”
Vivian climbed into his lap like she belonged there, straddling him without shame, her hands cupping his cheeks as she kissed him full on the mouth. Slow. Lingering. Like a seal. Like a reward.
Alice didn’t move in right away. She just circled slowly, eyes tracing his face. “Still not used to this,” she muttered. “Seeing you like this.”
“You don’t like it?” he asked, lips curving against Vivian’s.
“…I didn’t say that.”
Larissa knelt beside the throne, untying his gauntlets. She removed each one gently, like he was something sacred. Her fingers kissed his skin with every brush. “Feels weird,” she said. “You usually put us in place with just a look. Now it’s like… we could melt you if we wanted.”
Jane stepped closer, kneeling beside Larissa. “Well, we’re not really melting you,” she murmured. “We’re just reminding you. You don’t have to be cold all the time.”
And then—for no real reason—they all started laughing.
It wasn’t loud. Just soft chuckles. Relief. Affection. Intimacy. The kind that filled up the cracked places.
“I should get attacked by cursed wardens more often,” Allen muttered.
Bella slapped his chest lightly. “Don’t joke like that. I just started being nice to you.”
He caught her hand and pressed a kiss to her palm. “You’re always nice.”
“Liar,” Alice said flatly.
Vivian kissed his neck. “But he’s our liar.”
“I mean…” Allen started.
But then he paused. Looked at each of them. The weight of everything settling on his chest—not heavy, not burdensome, but… real.
“You know…” he said quietly, his tone shifting, “I’ve been thinking.”
They all paused. Eyes locked on him.
“I want to stay together. Not just here. Not just in this game.” His voice didn’t tremble, but it was so raw, so honest, it made the air feel warmer.
