Village System: Blessed With the Duty of Reproduction
Chapter 123: Welcome back, team
Kanan and Omula cleaned themselves up as best as they could, also tidying the place and opening the single window in the council room to air out the place.
Once their lust wore off, embarrassment took over. Blushing from ear to ear, the two could barely look at each other without feeling something rising in their chests. It was like finally kissing after going on multiple dates.
The only difference was that they had full-blown sex, and Omula was definitely pregnant. So much for a first date.
"U-Um, we should probably leave. The other could be waiting for us." It took every ounce of strength for Omula to speak instead of squeal with excitement. She was finally part of Kanan’s harem, an honor that any woman of the village would crave.
"Right. Let’s do that."
Omula walked out first, followed by Kanan. By the time he closed the door, Omula was gone.
"What the–Can she teleport or something?"
"No, she flew away."
"HOLY!" Kanan jumped on top of the Council building’s roof with one hand over his chest. The pounding of his heart made it feel as if it were trying to burst from his chest.
"Heh, did you not sense me?" Lopis asked, looking up at Kanan on the roof.
"No. My mind was occupied."
"Not surprised. You had Omula yelling like crazy. I guess all those women weren’t lying about how amazing you are at mating. Even my sister still talks about it to this day."
"How is your sister, by the way? With how busy I’ve been, I haven’t had enough time to visit all of the...Blessed Women."
Kanan made it a habit to check up on all of the women he got pregnant. They were surprised at first, thinking that he only saw breeding them as a job and assumed he only wished to see if the child was growing well.
But after visiting them again and again, they started to look forward to his visits and were happy that Kanan saw them as more than just the women he got pregnant.
"She’s doing fine. She rubs her belly a lot while talking about how amazing the child’s father is."
"Heh, well," Kanan rubbed under his nose. "I am pretty awesome. Hold on, why are you here?"
"I can’t see a friend?"
"I didn’t say that. And you’re more talkative than normal."
She shrugged. "I want to go with you."
"With me? Where am I going?"
"I heard everything that was talked about in the council. You’re planning on going to the Helsik Tribe, aren’t you?"
"Yes, but nothing is finalized. I have to wait for us to rebuild, then better our defences. Telah is trying to make an elite squad of warriors, and then we have to go to the old Typhon Village to destroy that fleshy plant I saw in my head."
"So are you going to the Helsik Tribe or not?"
’Did she hear anything I just said?’
"Why do you want to go?"
"I have...ties to them."
"Ties? Like a kinship?"
Lopis nodded. "According to my mother, one of our ancestors was saved by a person from the Nemean Tribe. They decided to settle down here, and the rest is history. Chief Solan knows about this."
"Unfortunately, Chief Solan is still unconscious. So now I’m basically in charge."
"Then I can join you when you leave?" Lopis asked emotionlessly
"Why do you think that I’m going? The Council won’t allow it."
"You’re in charge."
"Dammit. I did say that, didn’t I? Fine, you can join. But we need a team. It won’t just be the two of us."
"What about the other? Our training squad."
"That’s...actually not a bad idea. Let’s go! We’re putting the team back together."
---
"I-I don’t know. T-This sounds dangerous."
"Oh, stop being a wuss, Alue! Your friend is asking you to join him on a mission! You should be honored! Especially since it’s Shaman Kanan! Lord Nemean, the things I would do anything to be in your shoes, Alue." Aloy wouldn’t stop staring at Kanan, especially his chest.
Kanan held out his hand. "Join us, Alue. Your expertise in plants will be needed."
"R-Really?"
"Yes. You could even discover a new plant out there. One that’s not the Verminus Plant, of course."
Alue perked up after hearing that. Being a plant enthusiast, this was like telling someone that they found a gold mine.
"I’m in!"
---
After convincing Alue to join, Kanan and Lopis made their way to Terin’s place at her request.
Kanan told Lopis that Terin would join even if he had asked him the second they were to leave on the journey, but she insisted on at least letting him know.
"I’m in," Terin said with a smile, already getting his spear. He actually took Kanan’s advice and got a spear this time. It nearly made Kanan tear up.
"That’s it?" Lopis knew Terin liked adventure, but she didn’t know that Kanan wasn’t exaggerating. "All I asked was if you wanted to come with Kanan and me, and I didn’t even finish my sentence after I said ’Kanan and me.’"
"You had me at ’come’; I’m in!" He said with a smile
"Great. We’ll see you when it’s time to leave, in like...some time from now, I don’t know." Kanan waved Terin goodbye and went to Reda’s place.
---
"Oh, a mission? Is it dangerous?" Reda kept teleporting all over her home, trying to clean up the place to accommodate the unexpected arrival of her two friends.
"Probably." Lopis
"Is there a chance we could die?"
"Absolutely." Kanan nodded.
"Cool, sign me up."
Kanan furrowed his brow. "That’s it?" He didn’t expect her to be on board so easily.
"I’m bored. All I do is train. We couldn’t even participate in the battles the village fought in recently."
"I did."
The two girls turned to him with annoyed expressions.
"My bad."
"Who else is on board?"
"Everyone in our old team except Fera," Lopis answered
"Why not her?"
"We haven’t asked her yet."
"Oh." Reda teleported; this time, it was somewhere outside of her hut because she didn’t reappear right away.
Once she returned, blipping back into her home, Fera was standing next to her.
"I’m in as well!" Fera said in an excited tone, a huge smile stretched across her face. "We haven’t had this much fun since we hunted those monsters!"
