Chapter 1968: Chapter 1967: Chop Off Your Dog Head

The Wolf Clan Centurion arrived at the stockade gate, just in time to see Shi Xing sweep his blade across; a Wolf Clan warrior’s chest exploded in a spray of blood, and he was blasted back to land at Shi Xing’s feet.

Seeing this, the Wolf Clan Centurion’s pupils instantly turned vertical. "A mere Dog Clan dares injure my Wolf Clan warrior? You must have eaten a bear’s heart and a leopard’s gall."

The Wolf Clan Centurion gave a cold, disdainful snort. To him, the Dog Clan was just a group of lowly mongrels, born to be slaves for his Wolf Clan. Trash like this actually dared swing a blade at the Wolf Clan.

This was an act of great disrespect.

There was no need to ask for a reason. Even if the Wolf Clan was in the wrong, as a Dog Clan, the moment you dared resist, you were guilty.

A fierce wind coiled around the Wolf Clan Centurion. In the next instant, he shot forward like a gust, crossing dozens of meters. When he was still ten meters away from Shi Xing, he pushed off the ground and leapt up, his claws springing out midair.

They were like Wolverine’s adamantium claws, cold talons flashing with a razor‑sharp gleam.

Claw Blade Storm.

As his claws raked down, several cyan Wind Blades instantly formed before his claws. Wherever those Wind Blades passed, the air roared, rolling into a small hurricane.

Shi Xing looked up and saw the Wolf Clan Centurion pouncing at him. The fear etched into his bones made him shudder, but the reek of blood still goaded him into swinging his warblade at the oncoming Wolf Clan Centurion.

A metallic clang rang out.

The warblade hacked into the incoming Wind Blades; a sound like metal crashing on stone exploded instantly. Shi Xing’s blade‑wielding arm was immediately sliced open by the Wind Blades, and he could no longer keep his grip. The warblade was knocked flying in an instant.

The claw Wind Blades smashed through unhindered, slamming right into Shi Xing’s chest. Four claw marks instantly appeared across his chest, blood erupting in wild gouts. His body was then caught by the hurricane that followed and sent hurtling backward.

Shi Xing was still in midair when the hurricane around him shattered into countless small blades that whirred madly as they cut. The leather armor on his body was instantly shredded into tatters, and his strong, fur‑covered torso was like it was being sliced by a thousand knives, turning into a bloody blur in a heartbeat.

Thud.

Shi Xing was blasted back more than ten meters before crashing heavily to the ground.

Around the stockade entrance, some members of the Demon Clan had heard the commotion and all turned their heads, looking over to watch the show.

"What happened?"

Newcomers, clueless, asked the Demon Clan member in front of them.

"Heh, a few Kobolds didn’t know their place. They actually showed up at the camp gate riding dire wolves and wearing Wolf Clan leather armor, and they even seemed a bit arrogant."

"Tsk, did the Dog Clan get kicked in the head by a donkey? Daring to act arrogant in front of the Wolf Clan—are they tired of living and looking for a thrill?"

The nearby Demon Clan, hearing this, not only felt no sympathy for the Dog Clan, they instead thought the Dog Clan must be insane. Otherwise, how would they dare provoke the Wolf Clan?

"Who says not. The gate‑guarding Wolf Clan wasn’t about to indulge these mutt‑trash, so they went to take them down. And guess what—those mutts actually dared fight back, and hacked the gate‑guarding Wolf Clan Decurion open on the spot, blood everywhere."

"Hiss, the Dog Clan really did eat a bear’s heart and a leopard’s gall. Otherwise, who gave them that kind of courage?"

The crowd of Demon Clan onlookers listened to the whole story and were all speechless. They simply couldn’t understand where the Dog Clan got the guts to resist. In the Demon Clan, bloodline was everything.

The Wolf Clan was one of the Demon Country’s Eight Tribes, one of the eight upper‑class Demon Clans personally decreed by the Candle Dragon Demon Country. These eight tribes were destined to stand one rank above all other Demon Clans, and no one had any objections, because this was racial strength.

If you had the strength, you could completely take their place. But if you didn’t, then you had to accept the fact that others were more noble.

The status of the Eight Tribes in the Demon Country had always been stable—one could even say deeply rooted. This made the lower Demon Clans, from their very bones, accustomed to the others’ lofty superiority. After all, their Bloodline had already decided their status.

And to offend your betters from below—within the Demon Country, that was a heinous crime.

Killing them would just be killing in vain.

The Wolf Clan could even send people to wipe out that entire tribe, and no one would say a word against it, much less stand up for them, because this was the jungle Law that had been passed down among the Demon Clan to this day.

The strong are revered, bloodline above all.

If you’re weak, then you’re destined to be ruled by the strong. Even if the strong slaughter you, it only means you were weak.

No one would pity you, and no one would sympathize.

All the onlookers were mocking the Dog Clan for overestimating themselves, for having their brains kicked by a donkey. The Wolf Clan Centurion looked at the mangled Shi Xing, covered in blood and torn flesh, and walked forward step by step. Even though Shi Xing was a Dog Clan Chiliarch and even a tribal chief...

In a fight, he still wasn’t even as good as a Wolf Clan Centurion.

This wasn’t because the gap in strength was too big, but because of the bloodline carved into his bones. When facing the Wolf Clan, Shi Xing was born lacking the will to resist. Even though he had struggled to Counterattack, he was still cowardly deep down.

The Wolf Clan Centurion, on the other hand, didn’t take Shi Xing seriously at all. No matter how strong the other guy was, the Dog Clan was still the Dog Clan—just one of the Demon Clans subordinate to his Wolf Clan, a pack of dog‑slave trash.

This psychological advantage, once amplified, naturally led to the current result: Shi Xing was beaten to a miserable pulp in a single move.

The Wolf Clan Centurion walked up in front of Shi Xing, lifted his foot, and stepped directly on Shi Xing’s head. "Hmph, dog‑trash, who gave you the courage to swing a blade in front of my Wolf Clan?"

"Bring a blade. Today I’ll chop off your dog head and hang it above the stockade gate. Dare to bare your fangs at my Wolf Clan, and this is your end."

Have my Wolf Clan spent two hundred years killing too little, that these lower races have started getting cocky, daring to bare their fangs at the Wolf Clan? This precedent could not be set.

A Wolf Clan warrior immediately handed over a warblade. The Wolf Clan Centurion looked at the dog head under his boot and swung the blade down.

Shi Xing shut his eyes at once.

But at that critical instant, an arrow tore through the sky like a shooting star, and just as the warblade came down, it struck the flat of the blade.

The Wolf Clan Centurion was also caught completely off guard by this arrow, and the warblade flew from his hand.

"Who was that?"

The Wolf Clan Centurion’s gaze turned sharp. To dare make a move the moment he was about to execute this Kobold—this was treating his Wolf Clan as nothing. Who had such a huge dog‑gall?

The Wolf Clan Centurion looked toward the direction the arrow had come from and saw, several li away, a massive Demon Clan force slowly approaching. His gaze fell on a huge Horned Rhinoceros, upon which a Sheep Clan girl stood lightly, cloak draped over her shoulders, a bow in her hand.

The Demon Clan watching the spectacle also turned their heads, looking toward the Southern side of the camp at that massive Demon Clan army.

"That’s a huge force, must be no less than ten thousand. Which tribe is that?"

"I think I saw Sheep Clan, and I saw other Demon Clans too. Looks like seven or eight Chiliarch units lumped together."

"Are those Horned Rhinoceros cavalry? One of the three heavy cavalry forces of the Demon Country. Could they be from the Barbaric Bull Tribe? The Barbaric Bull Tribe is one of the Eight Tribes too."

"If so, this is going to be a good show." The Demon Clan on the side were all the type who loved watching chaos, each of them itching with excitement instead of fear.
