Chapter 1965: Chapter 1964: Arrangements

Sikong Yu and Ouyang Qiuhai walked out from the shadows and came to stand in front of Li Feng. Ouyang Qiuhai looked at Li Feng with a click of the tongue.

"Those two women seem to be from the Sheep Clan."

"They went in for about two incense sticks’ worth of time. Did you do everything, or did you do nothing at all?"

Ouyang Qiuhai looked over with a teasing glance.

"Guess?"

Li Feng glanced at Ouyang Qiuhai, then turned to Sikong Yu: "Coming over at this time, do you have something you want to ask me?"

Sikong Yu nodded: "Yes, although everything is going according to your plan so far, have you thought about how to leave once we reach the Demon Clan’s camp?"

"Your current idea is good; hiding in plain sight, and recruiting the Demon Clan can give us more protection, but there are pros and cons. These demons could also become a stumbling block for us."

"If we don’t leave midway through this transportation line developed by the Demon Clan, then we can only reach the Demon Clan’s camp. Once inside, it won’t be like now where there isn’t anyone in charge. The Demon Clan will register all the arriving demon tribes and train them together."

"At that time, if you still appear as a member of the Fire Phoenix Clan, it’s inevitable that the senior members of the Demon Clan will know. The Fire Phoenix Clan is not unknown among the Demon Clan, and by then, the risk of exposure for the both of us will be huge."

"Even if there isn’t a million-strong army gathered at the Demon Clan’s camp right now, there are at least hundreds of thousands. You don’t plan to use our two-hundred-plus people to slaughter our way through the Demon Clan’s camp back to First Line Pass, do you?"

Sikong Yu poured out her concerns in one go.

"I’ve thought about it too. If you’re here to ask me about the plan, you’ll be disappointed."

"What lies ahead and what we will face in the Demon Clan camp, I can’t foresee, so I can’t give you the answer you want."

"There will definitely be risk on this trip, that much is certain, but I’ve thought of your way out."

Li Feng said.

Sikong Yu stopped suddenly, turning her head to look at Li Feng: "What do you mean by that?"

Li Feng also stopped, looking at Sikong Yu: "I am taking a risk, but there’s no need to drag everyone into it with me."

"So, before reaching the Demon Clan’s camp, I will let you two leave at a certain camp. With just the two of you, you won’t attract attention. When Bi Fang returns, with her, you can bypass the area of the Demon Clan’s camp. As for the Great Rift Valley east of First Line Pass, it’s not an insurmountable barrier for you. You can fly over it with Ouyang Qiuhai."

Sikong Yu listened to Li Feng’s arrangement and furrowed her eyebrows: "You want us to leave, but you’re still going to the Demon Clan’s camp?"

Ouyang Qiuhai also stared at Li Feng: "Are you trying to join the Demon Clan?"

"There’s no need to worry about that. I, Li Feng, am not that shameless. As for going to the Demon Clan’s camp, it’s a last resort. Like you said, recruiting the Demon Clan has its advantages and disadvantages. The advantage is a smooth journey, but the downside is that leaving with everyone is almost impossible."

Li Feng appeared indifferent.

It’s almost impossible to take the Personal Guard Camp and leave quietly. The demons have keen senses unless they are all killed, but making a move would cause a commotion, and the thousands of surrounding demons aren’t to be underestimated.

Once exposed, the consequences are predictable.

And circumventing the Demon Clan’s camp with more people would create a bigger target, so it’s destined that early withdrawal is impossible, but if it’s just Sikong Yu and Ouyang Qiuhai, it’s achievable. Fewer people, a smaller target, and naturally the chances of returning increase.

"Isn’t there any other way?" Sikong Yu bit her lip, digesting what Li Feng said. If followed, she and Ouyang Qiuhai could escape, but Li Feng and others would still face great danger.

Li Feng shook his head: "No one can predict what lies ahead, and I can’t foresee the unforeseen, so we can only take it one step at a time."

"Then we won’t leave either."

Sikong Yu directly interrupted Li Feng.

Li Feng looked at Sikong Yu: "Actually, letting you take the detour to leave isn’t out of concern for your identities or even rejecting you."

"I intend for you to return to First Line Pass and inform them about my situation at the Demon Clan’s camp. I might cause some commotion there, and will likely flee toward First Line Pass, needing the support of its garrison."

"Sending someone else is meaningless; they probably can’t even meet the Garrison Commander, let alone be believed. But you two are different."

"So you two count as my backup plan. If we escape the Demon Clan’s camp and no one comes to meet us, you know the consequences."

"It’s like handing my life over to you."

"You won’t watch me die, right?" Li Feng locked eyes with Sikong Yu, their gazes meeting for a while before Sikong Yu bit her lip.

"Is this really what you feel?"

Li Feng nodded.

"Alright, I will leave with Qiuhai, and I will definitely persuade the garrison to help you." Sikong Yu said resolutely.

"It’s late, let’s go rest."

With that, Li Feng turned and went back to the tent.

Sikong Yu and Ouyang Qiuhai also walked back, with Ouyang Qiuhai breathing in the cool night air: "Sister Yu, is this guy serious, or is he deceiving us? Could he really be pretending to be a member of the Fire Phoenix Clan and join the Demon Clan?"

"It’s better not to speak such words. Not to mention, in the Molten Lava Land, Li Feng killed several new generation demon powerhouses. In his bones, he is proud, not one to be used as pawns by the Demon Clan like the Ten Demon Hall.’

"He doesn’t even hold much reverence for Ancestor Dragon City, he stays on the Ancestor Dragon side only because we are all humans."

"Moreover, if he really wanted to join the Demon Clan, you and I would be the perfect bargaining chips for them. As for what he just said, I am willing to believe him."

She wanted to follow Li Feng to the Demon Clan’s camp, but rationally, Sikong Yu knew that Li Feng’s arrangement was the best.

Not to mention that she now bears the hope of the Sikong family, and Ouyang Qiuhai is the only daughter of Uncle Ouyang, who is likely the Commander of the Southern Front. If captured, Ouyang Qiuhai could create many unfavorable factors.

Therefore, Ouyang Qiuhai must return safely, which is one of the reasons Sikong Yu nodded, along with the reason Li Feng mentioned of aiding them.

However, whether Li Feng and the others can break out of the Demon Clan’s camp, the danger is incalculable, as the garrison of First Line Pass cannot proactively attack the Demon Clan camp.

The time is too short.

The Demon Clan’s planning has been long in the making, yet Ancestor Dragon City’s mobilization requires time, and First Line Pass likely doesn’t have much military force at the moment.
