Chapter 453: Let Her Manage Things for You

Wang Chenning waited for Lei Danyun by a river, about five hundred meters from the hotel where Wu Linhan and Zhang Guoping were staying.

“So, what did you think?” Watching Lei Danyun walk up beside him, Wang Chenning asked with a grin, “Did you get to see my extraordinary moves today?”

“Your greatest characteristic is your speed!” Lei Danyun didn’t try to be stubborn; she spoke the plain truth.

“In a duel between masters, victory and defeat often hinge on a single word: speed!” Wang Chenning said with a laugh. “Speed isn’t something you’re born with. You can improve your strike speed through training. Of course, when you’re that fast, a lot of things go unnoticed. For example, I snuck into their room before you did and put some human waste into their tea, but they didn’t notice a thing. Do you think you’re as swift as I am?”

Lei Danyun fell silent.

‘She had indeed seen it with her own eyes: Wang Chenning slipping into the sealed room like an eel, then gliding out again with incredible ease.’

‘She was certain she couldn’t match that level of speed and agility herself.’

‘Without Wang Chenning’s help, it wouldn’t have been so easy for her to sneak into the room where Wu Linhan and Zhang Guoping were having tea.’

‘She had also personally witnessed him take down the bodyguards outside before they went in.’

Wang Chenning asked Lei Danyun, “Who taught you what you know?”

Lei Danyun shot him an annoyed glare. “Plenty of people taught us combat skills, and many of them are no longer a match for me!” ℯ

“In that case, I’ll take you as my disciple!” Wang Chenning laughed. “If you become my apprentice, I’ll have Wu Ziyue join as my disciple too. You’ll be the senior, and she’ll be the junior. Then, I’ll teach you both all of my ultimate techniques.”

The way Wang Chenning said “senior” and “junior” made Lei Danyun roll her eyes again. She retorted irritably, “Aren’t you just trying to find an excuse to take advantage of us?”

“Why would I teach my ultimate techniques to someone without a proper title!” Wang Chenning rolled his eyes back at her irritably. “If you don’t want to learn, then forget it!”

“Fine, I’ll call you Master!” Lei Danyun wasn’t stubborn about it. “But we won’t be like your other disciples. And we won’t be calling them brothers and sisters!”

“No problem!” Wang Chenning had only been half-joking, so he was overjoyed when Lei Danyun actually agreed. “I’ll teach you some of my Martial Arts and medical skills. I’m sure you’ll both undergo a complete transformation by then!”

After saying that, he sighed. “Honestly, you all are really lucky to have met me. What you’ll gain from me is far more than what I’ll ever get from you!”

Lei Danyun gave Wang Chenning a sarcastic look. “Meaning, you’ll only think it’s fair if we offer our bodies to you?”

“You think I’d be the one getting the better deal if you offered your bodies to me?” Wang Chenning returned the sarcastic look. “Let me tell you, if you had that kind of relationship with me, your bodies would undergo a complete transformation. After speaking, Wang Chenning turned and left without waiting for Lei Danyun’s reply.

Lei Danyun immediately followed.

Half an hour later, the two of them met up with Wu Ziyue, Wang Liqing, and Wang Liyu, who had also returned after completing their mission.

After hearing their report, Wang Chenning broke into a wide grin. “Not bad, not bad at all. You’re all very capable. I have to treat you all properly today!”

Wang Chenning told Lei Danyun to take the other three women and leave first; he would bring over a late-night snack in a bit to celebrate with them.

On his way to buy the late-night snack, Wang Chenning sent a message to Zhao Xiao’an. He told her he’d be late and would be there to see her around 11:30 PM. He added that she shouldn’t just sit around waiting for him, but to go about her business.

Tactfully, Zhao Xiao’an didn’t ask any questions and just replied: Got it!

When Wang Chenning arrived at the training hall where Lei Danyun and the others were, loaded with late-night snacks, Wang Liqing and Wang Liyu had gone to take showers. Wu Ziyue and Lei Danyun were sparring.

“You have a good eye. These two women are impressive!” Lei Danyun’s eyes were fixed on Wang Chenning as she spoke. “What are your plans for them? Are you going to collect them as lovers too?”

“You’re reading too much into it!” Wang Chenning chuckled. “They’re just my enforcers, my loyal agents. In the future, I’ll even have someone manage them.”

“Then let her be your chief steward,” Lei Danyun said, pointing to Wu Ziyue at her side. “She’s more than capable of keeping these people in line. If you’re willing, I can have her discharged by the end of the year!”
