Chapter 451: Chapter 451: I’ll Teach You a Lesson
Zhang Guoping invited Wu Linhan to dinner tonight to clear up the misunderstanding between them.
Some time ago, a misunderstanding had occurred between him and Wu Linhan due to some inexplicable events.
Zhang Guoping knew someone else had instigated it, so he promptly explained the situation to Wu Linhan after it happened.
Wu Linhan was also an extremely sharp person. He too had noticed the recent events were rather strange. After hearing Zhang Guoping’s explanation, he realized things weren’t so simple. He was certain this wasn’t some trick orchestrated by Zhang Guoping, so he accepted the dinner invitation.
Hu Wencheng was also on good terms with Wu Linhan, so Zhang Guoping had him join them as well.
These three rich scions were no ordinary people. After various analyses during their meal, they suspected that one person had orchestrated all these events.
Their suspects were Bai Qianxun, Zhao Xiaojun, and Wang Chenning.
Zhao Xiaojun was Zhao Xiao’an’s older brother, but he was serving in a mysterious unit.
Zhao Xiaojun’s department was top-secret, so he was rarely seen, and the Zhao family almost never mentioned him.
Wang Chenning had been dating Zhao Xiao’an for a long time but had never met Zhao Xiaojun. He hadn’t even heard Zhao Xiao’an or other members of the Zhao family mention this eldest son.
Wang Chenning was also a very smart man. After learning of Zhao Xiaojun’s existence from Lei Danyun, he noticed the Zhao family never brought him up. Consequently, he never tried to dig for information and never mentioned a word about it to Zhao Xiao’an.
Although Zhao Xiaojun was elusive, if he wanted to pull something like this off, it would be as easy as lifting a finger.
If Bai Qianxun wanted to cause trouble, she could certainly pull it off as well.
But Wu Linhan was most suspicious of Wang Chenning.
Wu Linhan felt that with so many things happening while Wang Chenning was away, it was very likely that he had orchestrated it all.
With Wang Chenning’s incredible skills, the people by his side wouldn’t be weak either.
He could have ordered his subordinates to cause trouble while he was away, so no one would suspect him.
During dinner, he voiced this suspicion.
However, Zhang Guoping and Hu Wencheng weren’t convinced. They felt that while Wang Chenning was personally very capable, he had come to Yandu alone. He didn’t have the power to freely command the people around Yang Xiaofei, Luo Yuqing, and Zhao Xiao’an, so he lacked the ability to make a move against them undetected.
Their suspicions still fell on Bai Qianxun and Zhao Xiaojun.
With the misunderstanding cleared up, the three continued to discuss future collaborations.
The major prominent families often collaborated. As rich scions who were starting to get involved in their family businesses, the three of them also had many joint projects. However, the scale of these projects wasn’t very large—a deal worth tens of millions was already quite remarkable.
Unless they accomplished something that greatly pleased the family elders, their investment authority would not be further increased.
After they finished dinner, the three didn’t go out to have fun elsewhere.
Wu Linhan was different from the others; he wasn’t very interested in women.
He was a very ambitious man, and a fastidious one at that. He had no interest in the women who frequented establishments of ill repute.
In this respect, he was fundamentally different from other rich scions.
Zhang Guoping and Hu Wencheng knew his temperament, so they didn’t change venues. They just had someone prepare fruit, tea, and snacks.
The three chatted casually while sipping on expensive Pu’er tea.
Just as they were engrossed in conversation, a pleasant female voice came from the side, "You have a guest, Young Masters. Aren’t you going to play host?"
The sudden sound of a woman’s voice made the three men, deep in conversation, fall silent, as if their throats had been seized.
"Who’s there?" Zhang Guoping jolted.
Then, they saw a ghostly woman standing by the half-open window.
The woman wore a mask and was dressed entirely in black, leaving only her eyes and mouth visible.
The woman was very tall. A murderous glint flashed in her eyes. When her gaze fell upon them, Zhang Guoping, Wu Linhan, and Hu Wencheng all felt a chill run deep into their bones.
Wu Linhan reacted the fastest, leaping up from his seat.
Hu Wencheng also stood up immediately. Zhang Guoping was the slowest to react; he banged his knee hard against the table as he got up.
"Who are you?" Wu Linhan instinctively backed away.
There were bodyguards outside the door. Without their orders, the bodyguards would never let anyone up to their floor.
’How did this woman get in? How did she appear in their room so silently?’
"I was sent by your grandfathers!" the woman said, striding quickly toward them. "They said you rich scions are pieces of shit and told me to teach you a lesson!"
With that, she delivered a vicious front kick that sent Wu Linhan flying into the wall.
Before Zhang Guoping and Hu Wencheng could react, the woman followed up with two roundhouse kicks, sending them both flying into the wall in the same fashion.
Amidst three consecutive screams of pain, the three of them collapsed in a heap.
The woman leaped into the air and brought an axe kick down hard on the three men.
Zhang Guoping, who was on top of the pile, let out a pained cry and passed out.
Hu Wencheng and Wu Linhan, pinned beneath him, also let out earth-shattering screams. The blow they took was slightly less severe, so they managed to stay conscious.
The masked woman walked to the table, picked up the teapot, and poured its contents all over the three men’s heads.
Poor Zhang Guoping was jolted awake by the hot water.
With a CRASH, the woman threw the teapot down beside them and then nonchalantly departed.
