Lin Anning screamed when Wang Chenning suddenly appeared before her.

She instinctively dove under the covers, pulling the blanket tight around herself. She stared at Wang Chenning in terror. "You... You... How did you get in?"

Her place couldn’t exactly be described as a fortress, but it had motion-activated surveillance cameras outside and two personal bodyguards inside.

An ordinary person would never be able to get in.

Not unless they bypassed the external cameras and then subdued the guards inside.

"I came in because I wanted to!" Wang Chenning chuckled, strolling into Lin Anning’s bedroom. He shut the door behind him and added a reminder, "This room is soundproof, and your bodyguards are asleep. You could scream your lungs out and no one would hear you, so save your energy."

"Get the hell out!" Lin Anning’s face was pale with fright. She grabbed a pillow from beside her and hurled it at Wang Chenning. "Get out now, or I won’t be so nice."

Wang Chenning caught it easily and tossed it back onto the bed. He continued to mock her with a smile. "You dream of being a man, but aren’t you still just a woman? The moment something happens, you lose your composure, scream and throw a fit like a woman, and hide under the covers like an ostrich. Do you think a man would react like this?"

"Wang Chenning, get out, or I’m calling the police!" Lin Anning finally snapped out of it. She fumbled for her phone, preparing to dial for help.

But before she could even unlock the screen, Wang Chenning snatched the phone away.

After he took her phone, Lin Anning let out another involuntary scream, her hands clutching the edge of the blanket.

"Miss Lin, you really play some dirty games!" Wang Chenning crossed his arms, staring down at her. "I go abroad on a state visit, win over all those foreigners, and bring glory to our nation. And you people use these kinds of underhanded tactics to slander me, trying to completely ruin my reputation. Have you no shame? Doesn’t your conscience bother you at all?"

"Aren’t you just a scumbag?" Lin Anning forced herself to calm down, a cold sneer on her face. "Entangled with so many women, trying to use every connection you can get, and taking on so many female disciples. Isn’t that disgusting? ’National Idol’? Pah!"

"Who I’m entangled with is none of your business! How many women are you entangled with? Are the people you play with not even human?" Wang Chenning roared. "Isn’t what you’ve done even more despicable than anything I’ve done? At least everything I do is to bring glory to our country. You couldn’t reach my level in twenty years. Don’t think you can destroy me with a few little hit pieces. Haven’t you seen? The entire internet is on my side, they see me as a national idol and a hero of the people. "Wang Chenning, get the hell out!" The smile on Wang Chenning’s face as he spoke sent a shiver of fear down Lin Anning’s spine. She shrank away from him under the blanket, but her words were still defiant. "This is breaking and entering, and you’re threatening to assault me. That’s enough to make you rot in prison for life."

"Just now, you said you’d make me kneel and beg for mercy!" Wang Chenning sat on the edge of the bed, that same smile on his face. "I can kneel before you, but as for who will be begging for mercy in the end... well, that’s hard to say."

"What are you planning to do?" Lin Anning was an old hand at this and naturally understood the implication in his words, which only made her panic more.

"At a time like this, should I answer with what I want to do, or what I don’t want to do?" Wang Chenning’s smile widened. Just as his grin was making Lin Anning’s skin crawl, his expression suddenly turned cold. "Let me tell you something. I’m a very petty person. I never tolerate being bullied. So, anyone who tries to bully me gets it back, twice as bad. You pulled a dirty trick like this, so I’m going to make you regret ever doing something so stupid."

"Fine, I did some of it!" Seeing him like this, Lin Anning threw caution to the wind. "Go on, get your revenge! Heh, I’d love to see it. You sneak into my house, threaten to get back at me... Wang Chenning chuckled. "I have my own ways of teaching you a lesson!"

"Then bring it on! You think I’m afraid of you?" Lin Anning looked at him with a mocking expression. "If you have the guts, then come on, actually violate me. If you don’t dare, you’re not a man. Don’t you ever pretend to be tough in front of me again. You tried to act like a badass and just ended up looking like an ass. Don’t you think you’re pathetic? Ah... What are you doing! Let go of me... you bastard!"

As Lin Anning was taunting him with that derisive look, Wang Chenning yanked her out from under the covers.

He then unceremoniously threw her onto the blanket and gave her a hard slap on the butt. "Who the hell gave you the nerve to screw me over? Believe it or not, I’ll skin you all alive and make you wish you were dead."

"Wang Chenning, I knew you were just a coward!" Lin Anning immediately struggled to get up. "I knew you were all talk and wouldn’t dare do anything. Come on! If you’ve got the balls, then do it to me. If you don’t dare, you’re a coward! Don’t ever act like a man in front of me again. You might as well go be a woman!"

Wang Chenning was enraged and continued to discipline her.

Lin Anning screamed again, but she didn’t stop cursing at Wang Chenning, her words dripping with humiliation.

Her curses finally made him genuinely angry. The smile vanished from his face, and his gaze turned ice-cold.

Having already thrown caution to the wind, Lin Anning was completely unafraid. She even deliberately tugged at her nightgown, taunting him. "I know you don’t have the guts.
