Unrivaled Miracle Doctor: The God-Defying Demonic Consort
Chapter 922 - 7: Thank You, Goodbye!
Chapter 922: Chapter 7: Thank You, Goodbye!
"Have I been disliked?" Mu Qingge blinked, grumbling inwardly.
Xu Leng walked quickly and decisively, seemingly worried that Mu Qingge would chase after him. Mu Qingge shook her head, somewhat speechless.
She examined herself; she certainly didn’t look like a lecherous person!
Raising her hand to flick nonexistent dust from her robe, Mu Qingge wasn’t one to take the initiative. Since the other person clearly showed dislike, why would she still try to cozy up?
Mu Qingge looked around, sizing up the magic vessel.
This magic vessel, however it sailed, seemed to contain only her, Xu Leng, Zhuang Shan, and Feng Xing.
The vessel wasn’t large, and it was very quiet.
On the deck, it was just a straight view to the end with a few cabins, and nothing else.
Mu Qingge looked at the mast of the vessel; the white sail occasionally fluttered as if steering the course.
"This magic vessel is interesting," Mu Qingge squinted and smiled inwardly. She already realized this vessel was a magic artifact likely used by the people of the Divine Land for travel.
Hands behind her back, Mu Qingge leisurely walked to the opposite side of where Xu Leng had gone, leaning on the railing, gazing at the mystical sea of stars.
It was her first time seeing such a splendid sight.
The vast mystical sea of stars, filled with shining stars, felt as though she was in cosmic space. Occasionally, a meteor with a flaming tail streaked past the vessel, seemingly within reach.
How vast was the mystical sea of stars, and how far away was the East Divine Land?
Mu Qingge watched for a long time but never saw any land edges; the Ascension Platform had long disappeared.
Around her, surrounding the vessel, was the mystical sea, dazzling and shimmering stars. Even the most beautiful views, after prolonged observation, could become tiresome.
Mu Qingge didn’t admire it for too long before sitting down cross-legged, beginning her cultivation.
Ever since she emerged from the Ascension Well, she felt changes in her Spiritual Sense and Spiritual Power, yet hadn’t had time to fully perceive them.
With nothing else at hand, why not take this moment to feel them?
After a while, Mu Qingge opened her eyes in confusion. Murmuring, she said, "I can’t seem to circulate Spiritual Power, and even my Spiritual Sense seems temporarily unreachable."
Mu Qingge raised her gaze towards the direction where Xu Leng was.
Before she meditated, Xu Leng was standing, back facing the deck, facing the mystical sea. Now, she was sitting on the ground, eyes shut tight, making her already cold face even more severe.
If not studied closely, one might truly think she was a statue.
"Looks like she’s also sensing changes within," Mu Qingge remarked inwardly. After pondering, she stood up, heading towards the cabins.
Without disturbing Xu Leng, she bent down and entered the cabin, seeing two closed rooms on either side.
No need to guess; it must be the resting places of Zhuang Shan and Feng Xing.
She needed to find Zhuang Shan; was he on the left or right?
Standing in the middle of the corridor, Mu Qingge raised her eyebrows.
At this moment, there was a movement from the door on her right; she turned her gaze to see it slowly open a crack, revealing Feng Xing’s shy face.
Spotting Mu Qingge outside, Feng Xing froze, then awkwardly smiled, looking very bashful.
Mu Qingge offered a polite smile, nodding slightly, "Senior Brother Feng Xing, I’m looking for Senior Brother Zhuang Shan to ask something."
Feng Xing, overwhelmed with shyness, nodded anxiously at her words, retreating back into the room and closing the door.
Hearing the door close, Mu Qingge raised an eyebrow, amused by Feng Xing’s reaction. She shook her head and turned towards the door on the left, raising her hand to knock.
"Senior Brother Zhuang Shan, it’s me. Is it convenient to disturb you?" Mu Qingge said directly.
Inside, Zhuang Shan was meditating; hearing Mu Qingge’s voice, he halted his cultivation, slowly opened his eyes, and said, "Please come in."
Mu Qingge pushed the door open, entering as Zhuang Shan offered a gentle, warm smile.
As Mu Qingge closed the door behind her, Feng Xing’s door opposite opened again. It seemed he thought that Mu Qingge didn’t know where Zhuang Shan was and wanted to kindly guide her. But upon seeing the fleeting glimpse of her red dress followed by the closing door, he was taken aback, then chuckled at himself.
"Senior Brother Zhuang Shan." Mu Qingge greeted politely with a cupped fist.
Zhuang Shan returned the gesture and asked, "What brings you to me?"
Mu Qingge nodded and said straightforwardly, "I came to see Senior Brother for two things."
"Let’s hear it," Zhuang Shan nodded and smiled.
Mu Qingge said, "The first thing is, I was meditating and cultivating on the deck just now out of boredom, but I found that the Spiritual Power and Spiritual Sense within me couldn’t be mobilized, so I came to consult you."
"So it’s this matter," Zhuang Shan laughed. He paused, and with a seemingly suggestive tone, said, "You’re not the only one with this issue. But of the two newcomers on the ship, you’re the only one who came to ask... It seems that Junior Sister Xu is not an approachable person, and I wonder if it has something to do with her Ice Spirit Root."
Zhuang Shan’s casual remark let Mu Qingge learn about Xu Leng’s Spirit Root.
’It’s actually an Ice Spirit Root! It’s said that the Ice Element is a mutation of the Water Element, and among a hundred Water Elements, you may not find one Ice Element. Unexpectedly, upon reaching the Divine Land, I encounter one, and they’re a newcomer like me.’ Mu Qingge thought to herself.
Zhuang Shan didn’t notice the flash of surprise in Mu Qingge’s eyes and continued, "Actually, you don’t need to panic too much. The power cultivated in the Lower Realm is different from that of the Divine Demon Continent. You could say that the power of the Divine Demon Continent is more robust and purer. During the time you ascended through the Ascension Well and traveled to the continent on the void boat, it’s the process of transforming your internal Spiritual Power and Spiritual Sense. During this process, it’s normal that they can’t be mobilized."
"I see, thank you, Senior Brother Zhuang Shan." Mu Qingge displayed an expression of sudden understanding.
It seemed she was a rookie, someone who wore her emotions on her face, looking simple and harmless, putting others at ease.
"What else is on your mind?" Zhuang Shan asked again. He had not forgotten that Mu Qingge mentioned she came to inquire about two things. He couldn’t help but admit he had a good impression of this new junior brother. It wasn’t just because of Feng Xing but also because Mu Qingge gave him a comfortable feeling upon interaction.
He neither showed the anxiety that most who had just ascended displayed, nor did he appear arrogant, always remaining calm and serene.
"The other matter is related to my surname." Mu Qingge furrowed her brows, eyes filled with undisguised confusion. "Earlier at the Ascension Platform, I heard the words of several senior brothers, but due to the occasion, I refrained from asking more. Now, I would like to ask Senior Brother Zhuang Shan whether my surname is a major taboo in the Four Seas Divine Land? Why did even you advise me to discard it? However, since the surname is passed down from the ancestors, abandoning it at will would be unfilial; that’s why I wanted to inquire, to be aware and avoid inadvertently violating taboos in the future without realizing it."
Her words were reasonable. Who would have thought she intended to use this opportunity to probe the true status of the Mu Clan in the Four Seas Divine Land?
After all, the High Priest and others had left the Divine Land a long time ago, and much information was out of date. Given this chance to inquire, she wasn’t foolish enough to let it slip.
"Your surname... sigh..." Zhuang Shan shook his head and sighed helplessly, looking at her sympathetically. "You’re unlucky; of all surnames, it happens to be this one. You’re right; in the Four Seas Divine Land, the Mu is indeed a taboo existence. The specifics are inconvenient for me to discuss with you. You just need to know that Mu is a name everyone in the Divine Domain wants to eradicate. Any Divine Domain would pursue it. Honestly, if you ask me, the easiest thing is for you to change your surname immediately. But if you really don’t want to, then..." He fell silent, pondering deeply, and after a while, he said, "If you truly don’t want to change it, you must become one of the top ten disciples before the hall in our Huan Yue Domain. With that status, no one will suspect you have any relation to that Mu, saving you from a lot of trouble."
Mu Qingge noted Zhuang Shan’s words and understood the Mu Clan’s current situation in the Divine Demon Continent, likely not as ’glorious’ as Mu Tianyin portrayed.
"Thank you, Senior Brother, I will certainly strive hard." Mu Qingge nodded in gratitude. Her thanks were for Zhuang Shan not only informing her but also for telling her the way to establish a foothold in the Divine Land.
The top ten disciples before the hall in the Divine Domain?
Mu Qingge’s eyes turned dim for a moment, as if she had found her first step!
"You indeed have to work hard; becoming one of the top ten disciples is not that easy, especially since you have a Wasted Spiritual Root." Zhuang Shan said frankly.
"Yes, Senior Brother." Mu Qingge humbly accepted, exited Zhuang Shan’s room, and returned to the deck.
As she walked out of the cabin, she saw Xu Leng had already finished cultivating and was standing on the deck, watching her with a cold, disdainful expression, as if looking at an insect.
Touching the tip of her nose, Mu Qingge walked over silently without greeting.
Her interaction with Xu Bing was clearly delineated; their waters did not mix. The void boat traveled through Xinghai for an unknown duration until Mu Qingge finally saw, through layers of clouds and mist, a vast, boundless outline of a continent.
It floated amidst Xinghai, seemingly appearing and disappearing.
Mu Qingge sensed that this was just the tip of the iceberg, and it would take a long time to fully glimpse the East Divine Land.
The void boat gradually approached the continent. Even before nearing it, one could feel the celestial aura, as if it were an Immortal Mountain over the sea.
Zhuang Shan and Feng Xing also came out at this time. They said to Mu Qingge and Xu Bing, "We’re about to reach the Little Heaven Domain, prepare to disembark."
Just as he finished speaking, the void boat shook violently, causing Mu Qingge and Xu Bing to collide with each other.
As the two were about to crash face-to-face, Xu Bing widened her eyes and abruptly turned to avoid it, causing herself to crash into the mast.
Mu Qingge landed unscathed and looked in Xu Bing’s direction, saying, "Thanks, goodbye."
After speaking, she walked towards Zhuang Shan and Feng Xing.
