Chapter 1553 - 1553 Chaos Green Lotus Seed, New Reincarnation Mechanism, The Elderly Who Rode The Green Cow
1553 Chaos Green Lotus Seed, New Reincarnation Mechanism, The Elderly Who Rode The Green Cow
When the situation back in the Living World got chaotic because of the Chaos Fragment, Chu Kuangren had already entered closed-door mediation in the Underworld for several months.
He spent months perfecting his control over the combined energy of the three great reincarnation mechanisms.
The power allowed him to be invincible in the Underworld, and even Embodier had to bow before him.
“The three great reincarnation mechanisms left behind by the ancient Divine Underworld Daoist are really powerful. I wonder how powerful he really is. Beyond the Embodier Realm would be the Primordial Realm, and what power does it hold?”
The stronger Chu Kuangren got, the better he knew the world and understood its vastness.
He was not complacent about conquering the Underworld because he knew many things still had to be done.
“Unfortunately, I can’t bring this power back to the Living World, and I have to leave it down here to ensure the dead souls can travel along the right path to reincarnation,” Chu Kuangren muttered.
However, he did not mind leaving it behind. Even without the Underworld’s authority, only less than a handful of people back in the Living World could threaten him.
“Let’s do a gacha draw first.”
Chu Kuangren summoned the Fantasy Roulette for a gacha draw.
“Congratulations, Host! You’ve won the God-tier prize, Chaos Green Lotus Seed.”
Huh?
Chu Kuangren’s eyes gleamed. It had been a while since he acquired a God-tier prize.
With that, e opened the inventory to look at the prize.
According to ancient legend, the birth of chaos was accompanied by ten Innate Spiritual Roots, which were the pepino melon, the flat peach, the Huangzhongli Tree, the Fusang Tree, and more.
The number one Innate Spiritual Root was the Chaos Green Lotus, an item that contained the manifestation of the Grand Dao and had magical uses.
The Chaos Green Lotus Seed was, as its name suggested, the seed of the Chaos Green Lotus. In order to make the seed sprout, it must be nourished with Chaos qi.
“My Pocket Universe contains a lot of Chaos qi, but once I put this seed inside, it will be a part of the Pocket Universe, and it would be difficult for me to take it out. The universal law of this universe would prevent me from doing so.”
Chu Kuangren pondered on the usage of the seed but could not figure out anything at the moment.
“Hmmm. I wonder how the Living World is doing,” he muttered.
He conquered the Underworld, but there were still enemies back in the Living World waiting for him and matters awaited his attention.
Since he was worlds apart from his clone, the link between them would weaken if he did not make contact with his clone back in the Living World. Moreover, he had barely received any news about the Living World lately.
When he exchanged information with his clone back in the Living World, his eyes gleamed.
“The Chaos Fragment has appeared? What great timing! I was just thinking about making this seed sprout, and the Chaos Fragment appeared?” Chu Kuangren chuckled as he had found a way to sprout the seed.
A while later, the High Priest came to visit.
“Ghost Emperor, I have united all three of the Underworld cities. Please inspect them.”
“I understand,” Chu Kuangren said with a nod.
Massive cities were erected across the land of the Underworld, making the place look majestic and ominous at the same time.
Majestic palaces and pavilions, the never-ending current of the Yellow River, and the different floors of the Moro Hell used to punish the wicked ghost and specters formed the brand new Underworld city.
After Chu Kuangren took over, Fengdu, Yincao, and Taishan combined into one massive city.
The part of the city that Chu Kuangren inspected was more than ten times bigger than the old Fengdu. The palace, located in the center, screamed of extravagance and luxury, built using countless rare materials.
Chu Kuangren was shocked by what he saw. It seemed like the High Priest and the others put in a lot of effort to reform the place.
“Ghost Emperor, the construction of the new Underworld city is complete, but the most important reincarnation mechanism requires you to activate it,” the High Priest said.
The reincarnation mechanism of the Underworld was created by the previous Divine Underworld Daoist, and now, they were all under Chu Kuangren’s control.
Not even an Embodier could rebuild either one of the reincarnation mechanisms.
“I understand. I will settle it now.”
Chu Kuangren then floated into the air and released countless Immortal Sparks into the sky.
The third divine ability of the Heavenly Samsara Physique, Samsara Universe, was activated.
Countless Daoist laws instantly gushed out from Chu Kuangren’s body and enveloped the entire Underworld city.
Boom!
As the land shook, a massive stone bridge rose from the land at the Yellow River and connected both sides of the river.
The stone bridge had Daoist patterns all over its surface, and its name was carved at the entrance — Naihe Bridge!
Naihe Bridge judged all souls that crossed. If the soul had committed atrocious crimes when it was alive, the soul would be thrown into the Yellow River, and the Underworld soldiers would bring it back for a trial.
Following that, a massive hill appeared beyond Naihe Bridge. Yin-Yang energy circulated the hill as though it was a portal that connected both the Living World and the Underworld.
Beside the hill was a massive stone table with a few words carved on it — Homegazer Terrace.
As its name suggests, one would be able to gaze back to his or her home after death. That would be the last chance for the dead souls to have one last gaze at the Living World to see their home and their family.
After that, they would reside in the Underworld as permanent residents.
Beyond the Homegazer Terrace was a prosperous and lively street with souls busy shuttling around. Shops and stalls were along both sides of the streets where businesses were carried out as usual.
It was the street where the dead souls gathered for all kinds of activities.
At the end of the street was a massive mirror with Daoist patterns swirling inside it. It even exuded a faint amount of Immortal Sparks.
It was the Holy Mirror!
With the mirror set at the end of the street, all crimes and ill thoughts of the dead souls would be exposed by its clarity.
Behind Yinsi Street was an endless path, where both sides were covered with equinox flowers.
The beauty of the flowers extended into the horizon, and that was where the ominous wind came from.
The endless path was known as Revival Street, and souls that set foot on this path would venture into the afterlife.
At the end of Revival Street were six massive gates with endless vortices inside each of them.
Each gate had a massive signboard hanging over the arch.
They were the Gates of Samsara, where the six gates represented the six different pathways that one would reincarnate into — the Heavenly Path, the Human Path, the Asura Path, the Hell Path, the Animal Path, and the Ghost Path.
“From now onward, when souls enter the Underworld, make them go through the Ghastly Checkpoint first, then Naihe Bridge, Homegazer Terrace, and Yinsi Street last so that they can wait for their turn in the Gates of Samsara.”
“The souls eligible for reincarnation must go through trials in the Ten Hellion Temples to judge them for their doings in the Living World. The Underworld soldiers will then guide those who have finished the trails, put them onto Revival Street by batch, and send them into respective Gates of Samsara according to their verdict,” Chu Kuangren said.
That would be the new reincarnation mechanism for the Underworld.
The High Priest bowed with a fist salute and said, “I understand and will carry out as ordered, Ghost Emperor.”
“I will leave you in charge of the Underworld for now. I have to go back to the Living World,” Chu Kuangren said.
“I understand.” The High Priest nodded.
Right before Chu Kuangren left, he suddenly sensed a presence coming from the Ghastly Checkpoint.
A figure slowly emerged through the checkpoint.
It was an elderly riding on a green cow with Daoist rhymes surrounding him. His presence alone was so astounding that even the High Priest was shocked by his arrival.
“This ancient energy presence… How long has he lived in the Living World?!”
Even the High Priest, someone who had lived tens of thousands of eras, found the elderly’s presence to be ancient and even older than himself.
The elderly on the green cow must be someone terrifying.
