Chapter 79 79. HELP
‘Uh….,’ Noah screamed inwardly, as time seemed to slow down for him, his environment almost stopping, while he stared at the unexpected panel.
‘Is this even possible or allowed,’ Noah asked himself. But when he thought to how he actually levelled up, seeing that it made no sense, he kept that question to himself.
‘How am I supposed to kill something that has an eighty percent chance of killing me,’ Noah screamed inwardly
[Use the speed force]
Noah couldn’t believe what he was reading, ‘Use the speed force. Are you crazy,’ Noah thought, But no answer came from the system
‘Im talking to myself,’ he sighed.
Glancing at the panel, he chose ‘yes’.
Immediately he did that, the whole world resumed in its normal speed.
Sweeping his gaze around in an instant, Noah found that no one else had died yet, but we’re still fighting the monsters.
He also found that his staff was a bit damaged, ‘This won’t last,’ Noah immediately concluded. He really wished he could use Cudgel, but people were watching on the other side of a screen.
Straightening his position, and dashing towards a direction in one swift movement, Noah affirmed that the monster wasn’t as fast as him(of course it wasn’t).
During the short seconds of running, Noah tried to make up a plan, based on what he knew so far about the monsters.
Their touch could make anything wither, they also had access to weird abilities that were also very dangerous.
‘I don’t know enough’ Noah shouted inwardly. Heaving a sigh, he turned back, and cast lightning bolts on the 3 meters figure running towards him.
The monster didn’t try to block or dodge it, but when the spell reached it’s body, it seemingly vanished.
A deep frown appeared on Noah’s face at that point, while he dashed forward again. The monster wasn’t like it’s middle tier counterparts, it’s innate ability or so, to make spells wither was crazy.
“Should I just keep running, until the whole day runs out,” Noah muttered while speeding up, to not allow the monster catch up.
‘Ahhh….the system.’ he said inwardly. It hadn’t said anything about him not winning, and Noah wasn’t confident enough that he could kill it, heck he didn’t want to touch it.
‘Should I continue to spam spells,’ an idea formed in his mind, ‘If my Mana finishes I’m dead meat,’ he thought.
He continued running for a few minutes, many thoughts running through his mind, he ignored the occasional screams that spread in the forest, since it basically didn’t concern him.
Though something changed eventually. During his run, Noah watched a dark ball or so, crash on a tree and….
BOOOOM!.
Noah’s body was sent flying, while he writhed on the floor. The left side of his face was falling apart, and the intense pain it spread through his mind blinded his eyes with tears. 𝚍n𝚘v𝚕.𝚝
Noah immediately didn’t care about his Mana pool, he cast his lightning and air domain, each domain overlapping on themselves, while both energies clashed.
Then he immediately started spamming ‘Lightning bolt’ and ‘air spears’
He couldn’t see anything, but he knew the monster wasn’t dead, but he seemed to have slowed it down, since he wasn’t dead yet.
His face healed at a speed visible to the naked eye, but it still took it two minutes to completely heal. During that period, Noah had never stopped casting spells, and his Mana reserve was reaching a critical stage.
Getting up from his half sitting position, while his mind continuously cast the two spells. Noah glanced at the monster’s position, he couldn’t see much due to the convergence of the spells, but he knew it wasn’t dead.
Halting the spells just for a second, Noah got able to inspect the beast, but he didn’t like what he saw.
The beast was injured, but also healing, very fast at that. Noah’s expression darkened, there seemed to be no way to kill the thing.
He resumed casting the spells while also checking how much Mana he had left.

Noah swallowed a lump of saliva, he could keep the monster in one position, but didn’t have the fire power to kill it.
Recalling what the system said, about him killing it with his speed force, he stopped the spells. A plan formed in his head, ‘how do I kill a monster, that makes things wither, and also seems to absorb the energy,’ Noah thought.
‘Overload it with energy,’
From what he saw, the monster wasn’t just making things wither, it actually absorbed the energy in his spells and used it to heal itself, but that meant his spells actually hurt it, only that a high percentage was being absorbed, before it could do much damage.
Watching the monster walk towards him, Noah’s body began to emit mild sparks, which he shut off. Staring at his right palm, Noah watched it begin to glow, as electrical energies were being accumulated in it.
Soon he got the warning of the system, at this point the monster was about three meters from him, it seemed that it wanted Noah to experience terror.
Though before it reached him, Noah watched a black horizontal pillar of darkness, wash over it, and turned into a ball of darkness.
The black pillar pushed Noah away, as he found that a tiny piece of his body was melting from being close to it, a tiny piece.
Glancing at the person who did this, Noah saw the beautiful Isabella rushing towards him.
“Are you okay,” she asked him, bringing him out of his stupor.
‘That was my moment!,’ Noah shouted inwardly but nodded at her question.
“Good let’s go,” she tried to drag Noah, but and an explosion resounded, the black ball dispersing in the process, and the sight of the monster perfectly okay appeared in their eyes, but Noah couldn’t help but ask a question,
‘Why didn’t it absorb the spell,’ he thought, while getting on his feet, both he and Isabella entering a offensive stance.
“You are of darkness element,” Noah asked Isabella, who glanced at him with a glint of surprise in her eye, though she nodded.
“It didn’t absorb your spell for some reason,” Noah added, “Was it supposed to,” the sweet voice of Isabella rang out, but Noah wasn’t fazed.
“Yes it was. This means you have the potential of hurting it,” Noah said glancing at the stationary monster.
For some reason it had not attcked them yet.
“I doubt that, it’s in the peak stage,” Isabella said. Noah only sighed, words were about to proceed out of his mouth, when a magic circle expanded under the monsters feet, as Noah instincts raged at him to get out of that area.
Noah instinctively grabbed the lady beside him, carried her in a princess carry, turned and shot forward.
Immediately their figures left that place, tens of black tendrils shot out of the ground, directly causing that small area to become a dead zone, as they drained the ground of its energy.
Stopping after a few seconds, Noah glanced at his environment, he could sense the monster approaching them incredibly fast. A frown appeared on Noah’s face, then he remembered he had someone in his arms.
Immediately dropping Isabella, Noah wanted to apologize, when her voice resounded, “Thank you. But don’t ever do that again,” she said her gaze turning cold.
Noah could only nod, while he retrieved his staff. His Mana was already regenerating, so he had to make sure he didn’t die before that time, or directly go on with his plan.
Sighting the running figure of the monster, Noah talked, “Thank you for your help, but I’ll handle this,” he said practically disappearing from his position.
Pulling his arm backwards Noah closer he eyes, gathering as much energy in his right fist, he ignored the warning messages, pouring 20 points of Mana into a makeshift barrier of his staff, Noah slammed it on the monster, seeing that it left it unfazed; not surprised, Noah did a side step, then placed his right hand on the monster, pouring all the energy he could muster.
His vision went black, right after an explosion sent him flying.
