Chapter 77 77. CONFUSION
In an unknown part of the forest, inside a building that looked incredibly old, the figure of a thin being could be seen. It seemed to be talking with someone as it sneered during the conversation.
“You’ll use me just to make things fun for your people,” the beings screech like voice resounded.
“Yes. As long as you do what I asked, you’ll get what you want, eventually,” the voice of a sir Malachi resounded.
“After all I’m sure you’re bored. It been a while you’ve been locked up there, so use this for your fun. And I got into a bit of trouble for even wanting to involve you, so don’t disappoint.”
“Just remember your minions shouldn’t be more than the peak of tier 2.” Elder Malachi explained.
The white thin figure hissed, but didn’t try to counter the man’s words. “I’ll agree just this once,” the creature replied, immediately dropping the communication amulet.
Then it stood up, as it’s height towered 5 meters. It’s arms so thin they resembled sticks, while it’s bald round head, which housed it’s absolutely black eyes, two holes for breathing, and a weird looking set of lips, as under that layer of skin were its jagged teeth.
The creature walked away from the chair it was sitting on, as it’s footsteps made practically no noice, only that it’s entire figure was trauma inducing.
The creature walked towards the door that sepearated it from the outside world. It opened the door, and tried to stretch it’s arm out the door, but a series of blue inscriptions lit up, as it found it’s arm beginning to burn with blue and red flames, and a barrier of some sorts that made it dizzy, stopped it from leaving.
The creature released what resembled what sounded like a sigh, as memories of the outside world filled it’s mind. It had been a long time since the Cusk nation locked it there, and its hope of escaping had long since vanished into mere day dreams.
Turning back with slow steps, while the black door closed by itself, the creature walked up the stairs of the building, and found itself in a small dark hall.
Raising it’s incredibly thin four fingered palm, a purple black magic expanded on it palm, as it threw it on the floor. Immediately that happened, the magic circle expanded to encompass the small halls space.
The creature muttered words in a weird language, that sounded like random incorrhent sounds, but seemingly weren’t. After a few seconds, the sounds of screeching could be heard, as a grin appeared on the creatures face.
“Whoever encounters them, will wish they never participated,” the creature laughed in a terrifying manner that seemed to come straight out of a horror movie.

Inside the forest, a few tens of kilometers away from Noah’s position. A group of people could be seen sitting around a camp fire, their weapons out, as they seemed ready to battle any moment, though they didn’t let it show on their expression.
One of the individuals in this group, was the beautiful Isabella.
She sat right in front of the fire, as she seemed lost in thoughts. The red flames illuminating her angelic face, while the slight winds tried to get under her silky hair.
She sat in this position for multiple minutes until one of her teammates started a conversation with her.
“Lady Isabella. Might there be anything wrong?,” the young man said with a caring expression on his face.
Isabella seemed to snap out of her thoughts as she replied with a smile, that could make weak men go crazy, but this only made the man flinch.
“No. it’s nothing Leon,” she replied.
“So why haven’t you touched your meal,” Leon said glancing at the plate of some vegetables and meat.
“Not too hungry,” Isabella replied calmly, storing the plate in her ring.
“But you’ve been killing monsters all day, enough to put us in second position,” Leon countered.
A smile burst out on Isabella’s face, before they returned to normal, “Leon you don’t have to worry about me, I’m fine and you know it.” Isabella replied.
Struggle appeared on Leon’s face but then he seemed to give up, since a sigh escaped his mouth.
“Don’t worry about me okay. I’ll take care of watching over us. You guys should get some sleep,” Isabella announced to the others, while she stood up with the grace of a princess, and walked over to a spot where she could watch over the whole camp. .
She would once in a while glace at Leon, she couldn’t blame him for his worry, he was tasked by her father to proctect her, even though she hardly needed protecting, she was only tired of the lustful gaze’s most men gave her, which was why she requested for a guard.
Her eyes swirled with many thoughts, while she checked the leaderboard. Her team being placed second, while the man she knew too well being place first.
She scrolled down the many teams, names she knew and those she didn’t appearing, but she didn’t really care much, only coming out on top mattered to her.
Though her eyes flickered with light of curiosity, since just now a team had jumped madly across positions. This team with the name of the highest contributer being ‘Noah’, shockingly being placed third!.
This event didn’t go unnoticed, as multiple teams who had thought they would rest for the night, set out. Their eyes brimming with resolution, while they moved to gain more points.
Isabella herself straightening her position. She was a woman who had always been considered top tier, as her abilities and incredible fighting prowess, were usually unmatched by those in her stage.
The other’s from her team, who were also people she knew stood. They definitely didn’t want to fall back on the leaderboard, so they set out. Some even taking the matter personally.

Dashing through the forest, Isabella wielded two swords, as she cut down the middle staged magical beasts in her way.
Sighting a bit more than twenty beasts that radiated power that only ranged from the lower stage of tier 2, to the middle stage.
Isabella chanted a few words, then a black magic circle expanded around her body. A black mist emerging from her, as it went ahead of her team.
Immediately the black mist reached the beasts, tentacles of darkness shot out, rapidly wrapping around every single beast, as they began to melt at a rate visible to the naked eyes.
The tentacles wielding corrosive power, which caused that reaction.
The four humans behind Isabella seemed unfazed by the show of her rare element, since they too cast spells at the newly emerging beasts from the forest.
Leon to be exact, cast a spell similar to Isabella’s, only that it’s element was fire.
A small ball of condeny flames formed above his head, illuminating the environment a bit.
As tendrils of flames shot out of the ball, but rather than wrapping around the beasts, the tendrils only fell on their bodies, as suprisingly they immediately caught fire, wails and roars filling the environment.
The team were only attacking at a relaxed pace, since they only wanted to keep their position on the leaderboard, actually their current activity could be regarded as a light exercise, due to how easy it was killing beasts at lower levels than them.
Although that all changed when they encountered a barrier of sorts, then suddenly, space seemed to stretch, as immediately they found themselves back at a spot they knew was a few kilometers away from their former position.
‘What just happened’ Isabella said Inwardly, while her eyebrows expressed her utter confusion.
