Chapter 594 594. MESSENGERS OF DESTRUCTION
The moment Davis and Jade stepped into the barrier they each felt a certain force try to repel them, but the defensive measures Noah set up recognized the aura they carried, allowing them to cross without shattering everything.
“That was… interesting,” Davis commented, glancing at his partner for that task.
Jade was a woman who looked to be in her early thirties, she possessed short brown hair and a pair of glowing green eyes. She stood at a height of about 5 ft4.
“We already have attention on ourselves,” Jade revealed, gazing at the world below them. She could already sight about five individuals approaching them, all in the fourth tier. Two were in the lower stage and the rest were middle-staged experts. The strongest stood at the very peak of the middle stage.
“State your business,” the man at the forefront of the group directed his words at the silvery figures that had appeared inside the domain of the noble family.
Less than twenty minutes earlier they had discovered that a barrier now surrounded them, not allowing anything or anyone to leave. They believed it was the doing of the Order, but after establishing communications proved to be impossible, they thought differently.
Still, the nature of their current situation had not fully dawned on them. Was the Order doing something, or was this the doing of a foreign power? Still, who would attack them in a city filled with that many elves?
Davis and Jade remained silent towards the middle-aged man’s words.
“Are you with the Order? Inform them that the entire family of the noble house is present and they do not condone such actions in their territory. It goes against the agreement!” The man yelled, visibly angered by the event.
“That’s good to hear. Isn’t it?” A wide smile appeared on Davis’s enlightened features as a giant black sword manifested in his grip.
Jade chuckled, relishing the strength she experienced. A shining green and pink bow appeared in her grip and her aura intensified. So did the light she emitted.
The duo quickly transformed into miniature stars as the empowerment they received was based on the light affinity, their figures shone brightly and even produced a strange heat.
“Who are you? And how dare you invade the territory of the Uro noble family!” The expert’s aura began to seep out of his figure, anger bloomed on his features as he prepared to battle the duo. It was five against two even if two of the five were only at the peak of the lower stage.
“We are messengers of destruction. The actions of the Uro family have brought this upon them,” Davis announced, his words stunning Jade who struggled to keep her laughter bottled up.
Davis shattered the sound barrier to streak toward the man since they were many meters from each other.
“I guess,” Jade chuckled drawing her bowstring. The air around her grew troubled as the wind gathered to manifest as a shining green arrow empowered by the bow and her elevated power.
The event transformed into a huge storm that saw her at the center of the event. Even Davis took note of the attack being prepared, he did not stop, however.
Swinging his giant black blade at the middle-aged expert draped in a flowy, luxurious-looking grey robe, Davis poured the entirety of his physical strength into that simple execution.
An explosion of wind force unfolded into the world before the blade even touched the expert.
The event had been powerful enough to send the others behind the man shooting toward the estate in the distance.
“Oh-oh,” Davis exclaimed when he saw that the man had parried his blade with another sword. Unfortunately for the expert of the Uro family, his weapon crumbled into dust instants later.
“That was a peak-middle stage weapon made from the bones of a wyvern… how did–” His words of astonishment were cut short when Davis’s fist landed on his face. The expert almost instantly arrived on the ground due to the immense force in that punch.
The ground shattered into different depth levels. Manifesting as a deep crate with the man at its bottom.
Unfortunately, Davis didn’t have time to attack his opponent again, he glanced at the incoming experts who had been sent flying and shook his head only to turn to focus his gaze on Jade in the distance.
Her attack was ready and his instincts roared.
‘Is she going to take the entire estate in one go?!’ Davis screamed inwardly as he evacuated that area with immediate effect.
Jade closed her eyes whilst the wind around her obeyed her every command. She fell into ecstasy for the power she experienced did things to her.
When her gathering ability finally reached its limit and she saw Davis leave the area she could only let go of the attack to watch it in action. 𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝘭.𝘦𝑡
The moment Jade let go of the massive arrow of shining wind, the sheer power it exploded with upon acceleration pushed her backward.
The arrow streaked across the lands of that area and every inch it flew across fell into utter chaos, as the winds were powerful enough to tear the ground even from that height.
The two middle-staged experts tried to set up a barrier but they failed and were quickly overwhelmed by the power in that attack.
The arrow fell on the estate and it looked like that would be the ending for those living within it when the green barrier abruptly flickered into existence to clash with the huge wind-based attack.
A blinding white light erupted into existence with terrible might as both magic fought for dominance.
The grounds of that area never stopped shaking, and cracks unfolded in the terrain whilst the barrier continued to fight with the arrow.
Shock waves continued to barrel forth into the world and the wind force was so dense it was far more visible.
Davis saw this and clicked his tongue. They had limited time in that form so he had to help.
Letting go of his giant blade even if it began to float, he closed his eyes to call upon his water affinity while he searched for a powerful spell that suited that battlefield.
Finding it, Davis’s eyes snapped open to reveal that a new light now existed in their structure.
His aura unfolded with greater intensity instants later, as several azure magical circles expanded above his head and below his feet.
The very air around him began to vibrate while smaller circles expanded around him. Belting the circles above and below him.
A spinning azure mass quickly appeared before him and he stretched forth his right hand to clench it in his fist.
An explosion of light and force occurred at that point for tendrils of azure liquid the size of small rivers manifested through the narrow gaps in his fist.
The azure light the water released rose in intensity as those tendrils further converged many meters before him, revealing the sword-based shape that they took.
Davis exhaled sharply at that point, and the huge shining blade beamed forward to slam into the barrier.
Words could not explain the sheer power that surged into the world at that event.
The cracks that had been opened before expanded until they almost resembled chasms.
The barrier began to flicker but still held on, unfortunately for those who activated the defensive measure another massive arrow fell on the barrier and everything ended.
The spinning arrow landed on the very estate and transformed into a massive explosion blowing away a significant portion of that domain. A huge crater formed.
The duo had succeeded in shattering something past the mid-point of the higher stage. A feat that would have been impossible if not for the addition of Noah’s stats.
They commended themselves only for a few seconds before moving forward to take care of every living thing they found within the domain.
They indeed became the messengers of destruction.
