UNLIMITED SPEED

Chapter 576 576. MONSTERS

Noah and Erolia traversed the upper altitudes of that underground expanse. Their figures remained relatively slow. Moreover, they didn’t seem ready to increase their pace.

Although they had been flying for about 10 minutes, Erolia still scanned the area suspiciously. She also occasionally glanced at Noah’s figure, hoping nothing strange occurred.

After the incident with his green eye, Erolia realized that she wasn’t being attacked anymore and Noah had set out on that path without telling her anything.

Their situation greatly confused her, but she could only follow in silence, he had mentioned having an idea of what that place was.

“I fell into a trance,” Noah admitted at some point. “And in that short moment, I met an individual The supposed ruler of this place. The order isn’t the ones running this place. At least not entirely.” He explained.

“From the words we exchanged, the order is using this place for a project that sees them gaining control of the minds of both humans and beasts alike. The being in full control over this place had agreed with them and in return for teaching them its ability they gave it magical beasts.”

“Why?” Erolia asked, already immersed. The world around them had blurred away allowing for her total attention on Noah.

“It feeds on those beasts to supply life to its creation,” Noah glanced at the trail of grotesque creatures born from the green liquid.

“So does this mean we don’t have to destroy this place or something,” Erolia wondered.

“We’ll have to meet up first. We didn’t talk much,” Noah shrugged sensing a few auras enter the range of his consciousness.

Two 3m tall figures appeared in their sights, horrible looking and horrendous smelling. The two beings were riddled with sizzling pores of green puss and asymmetric limbs.

Both monsters were huge and round, but a pair of tiny transparent wings kept them afloat. A comical sight in that unsightly scene.

Erolia cringed in disgust taking a step back. Noah on the other hand simply folded his arms.

“It seems we are not welcomed,” Noah commented.

“How did you even get the said being to speak?” Erolia felt forced to ask.

“Oh, I beat it up… weird how battles of the mind occur. But yeah.” Noah stated, and the look on Erolia’s face spoke well of her astonishment.

“It wasn’t at its peak, and for some reason did not call upon its full power, so I could take advantage of that weakness and milk it of information before my influence was overridden.” He shrugged, even if silver sparks gradually flowed out of his figure.

“In truth, I had been a nanosecond from being brainwashed. That’s why my eye turned green.” He stretched his right hand forward to unleash a single strand of electrical energy. 𝘯𝑜𝘷𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝘮

The bolt containing power at what would be considered the peak of the middle stage flew forward, but right before it touched the first monster a green film appeared on the way deflecting the bolt and causing it to slam into the walls of the expanse.

The area shook slightly but everything went back to normal. Noah’s bolt had not even destroyed the magical barrier.

“Master your approach has caused this…” Erolia commented recovering from his words. The fact that Noah spoke with deadpan expressions also didn’t help the matter.

“I know…” He responded, glad that the monsters could take a hit.

“I want you to take care of them while I search for the center of the place. I suspect it’s been here for centuries but has remained out of the reach of humans.

Erolia exclaimed with a loud voice immediately protesting. Noah simply stared at her whilst she said all those words. For some reason, their opponents did not attack.

Seeing that her complaint did not affect him she could only sigh, nigh teary-eyed.

“If you don’t want to get directly you can just use my armor,” Noah announced activating an ability Muliix had that he hardly utilized.

Muliix flowed out of Noah’s palm like a wave of dark and silver particles. The moment those extremely powerful particles came in contact with Erolia’s skin they immediately shrunk to accommodate her size.

Stunned to find herself in valiant battle armor, Erolia marveled at Noah’s items. The one she liked most was the staff. He had used it against her a few times and she not only feared its power but admired it. Unfortunately only Noah could properly lift it.

“Noah… what about you?” She asked even if she already loved the feel of the strange armor. She couldn’t utilize its various abilities however, only Noah could.

“Don’t worry about me,” Noah shook his head stretching his arm at the two creatures again.

“Watching us from a distance is creepy,” Noah clicked his tongue unleashing a huge beam of silver light.

The creatures moved to dodge that attack by flying in opposite directions, but Noah’s beam also divided into two to strike them down.

To his realization, light affinity worked greatly on those beings since he obliterated both.

“Interesting,” Noah muttered, understanding why he did not receive exp of levels. Those creatures did not have a consciousness of their own and were simply masses of power put together. They did not have individual cores since they were only puppets.

Due to this simple reason, the chunks of their bodies that had survived the attack burst forth grotesquely to rapidly rebuild the figures of those monsters.

They returned to existence but not only that. The duo watched them sever their own arms to allow another pair of monsters grow from those limbs, all of which looked different but were similar in essence.

“Deal with them,” Noah commanded Erolia seeing as they blocked his path.

Sprinting forward he directly tore through their figures, even if mere instants later their destroyed bodies regrew and reattached themselves to restore their state. Another two monsters were born leaving six for Erolia who grinned and unleashed her power.

“I’m not as strong as him, but I can put up a fight” Erolia spread her arms as multicolored sparks flowed out to give birth to crackling figures all controlled by her.

With Muliix on her body, she felt invisible. Taking a step forward Eorlia shattered the sound barrier to arrive before one of them. Simply tapping the monster’s round and deformed belly with her fist, the sheer force in that limb caused it to explode from its belly outward. Obliterating over 97% of its mass.

Chunks of its arms and legs were still present to that monster could regrow itself in mere instants.

Shooting backward, she dodged the attack of another of the six monsters.

“This will be fun.” She nodded sending her creations forward.

Noah on the other hand streaked past the expanses with a level of speed that made him untouchable. He approached the center of that place and arrived at it. But a huge pulsating column unfolded in his eyes and the aura’s that emerged from it caught his attention.
