Chapter 532 532. EXPRESSION

Noah moved across the skies of the divine lightning city. His movement silent and his gaze was blank. 𝘦.𝘰𝘳𝑔

He inspected the events that occurred within the city from a height most didn’t expect. Not much had changed in the layout of the city and its vibrancy remained.

Noah could tell that the individuals within the city felt a sense of safety since they could not be attacked unless tier 5 individuals were at play, and everyone knew what had happened when a battle between two tier 5’s had occurred close to the city.

Noah believed a time would come when the very city itself would come under attack, the only difference being that more powerful experts would be at play.

It would be an event that could happen close to the ending times of the war’s time limit. That great guild was a significant contributor to the offensives of the nation. Taking them out would mean a whole lot, but Noah doubted that reality would ever come to pass.

At least not when he was alive it won’t.

Even as he stood he could call upon a skill that would push his prowess into the fifth tier. At that point, he’d be unstoppable.

“They are used to peace. It would seem only tier 4’s are frequently called upon,” Noah muttered finding the air a tad bit too lively.

The guild had agreed on sending only a particular number of experts anytime the royals needed help. The lower leveled ones on the other hand being groomed.

That didn’t mean tier 3’s were never called, only that those with high chances of survival were such individuals. For this reason, the less stronger experts tried their bests to become of use, but only competitively and less realistically.

Those sent into the battlefield risked being wiped out by the mere shockwaves of tier 4 experts. No amount of training could prepare anyone for such instances.

For this reason, those who returned were given rewards and periods of rest.

Although he found things a little too laid back, Noah couldn’t blame it on anyone. Regardless of the fact that the cultivators lacked the air of urgency; each one of them had passed the test to gain membership into the guild.

Their abilities were far above average, making for a generally powerful force. But in those times there was much more needed.

“What do the tier five’s even do,” he wondered arriving on the guild hall of the inner region. It was tall and away from the reach of tier 3 cultivators.

“Planning strategies. Meetings. Or training,” he listed the possible scenarios. They could be doing all the three.

Gazing down at the beauty of the city, Noah scanned the districts for the building he used to stay in but found that it had been replaced with a training facility.

He wondered about the experts who had been with him during his time of joining the guild. Surely they had advanced in power.

He believed a few of them should have crossed over into the fourth tier, or at least be close to it.

There was a lot he had no idea about but knew he would get to find out the more he interacted with the people in battle.

Noah spent many minutes simply sitting at that elevated point until something occurred to him and the white light of teleportation flowed forth to make him disappear.

Noah arrived in the cultivation room and a white crack opened on his chest, a cerulean blue streak shot out of that white crack to transform into a large figure a bit more than 50m in height.

Golden beaks, eagle-like features, vibrant cerulean feathers with silver patterns abroad its wings, and completely silver legs. Fierce-looking eyes with cerulean, gold, and silver lights swirling its insides.

An aura that spoke of real power flooded the world around Noah, it was heavy but didn’t affect him since it belonged to a soul-bonded beast.

Noah ascended to meet the bird’s height and he watched its intelligent eyes scan his figure.

“Erolia,” Noah called out and watched the giant bird flinch. She heard him and took a step back.

“You must be confused,” he continued, staying in place. She nodded in response, pleasing him.

“What are my?” A young feminine voice seeped out of the opened golden beak of the giant bird before Noah and he heard Erolia’s voice. It had somehow remained unchanged even after her integration.

“You’ve become a magical beast,” Noah stated, but she remained unfazed. Calm even.

“I figured. You’re… small,” she commented.

“Do you remember anything?” Noah asked, moving to more important topics.

Her multicolored gaze fell to the ground at that point. She fell into thought trying to access the folds of information she was constantly aware of to find her memories.

“I do.” She replied.” We had been attacked by men who killed-” A soft gasp exited her beaks as realization dawned on her.

Accessing those memories allowed others to rush in, but her tier 4 mind remained capable of containing them.

“You’re Aide- Noah. You’re the man Noah, but I now recognize you as master,” Erolia spoke, her tone suddenly somber. She seemed to have matured. Most of her emotions couldn’t affect that body. Or rather she remained logical.

Hardship had changed her.

“I remember vaguely being in a strange state. I felt free. But I was drawn to someone. You.” She explained, deep into thought.

‘Is my emotionless state affecting her?’ Noah wondered even if the system replied.

“Only a portion is affected, she remains capable of expressing emotions only that she requires time to understand how to properly do so,” the system explained.

‘I see,’ Noah muttered inwardly. He desired to see the teenager whose life had been destroyed only due to the cruelty of men. He wanted her lively again.

“I am your master only due to the special bond you now share with me,” Noah revealed to that large beast.

Erolia remained silent; going through her memories. She suddenly had access to ones even from her childhood days before becoming a teenager and facing a mortal end.

“You’ll remain in here for a bit, while I train you on how to control your abilities,” Noah announced gaining the attention of a large beast possessing the soul of a certain young girl.

“For now I’ll tell you all that has happened in the past thirty years,” he nodded descending to sit cross-legged.

Erolia watched his figure calmly and sat also, she felt shocked about the period that had passed.

“If the noble families that had been the cause for your family’s death remain, then we will make sure to eradicate them,” Noah declared and a violent aura exploded forth from the giant beast before him. Her first genuine expression had been fury.
