UNLIMITED SPEED

Chapter 520 520. GREAT POWER

Noah felt the connection between him and that large beast, or rather Erolia, experience a significant increase. His eyes blurred for a second and he felt his mind gain a deeper connection to her being.

“I technically am your father, as your body was born from my essence. Nevertheless, your mind and existence does not belong to me,” His words were borne out of thought and his audience barely managed to get anything.

[You have successfully established a <Master-Pet> bond with Entity <Erolia> Specie <Thunderbird>]

[You have gained new abilities related to your status as a pet master]

[Pet cultivation, Soul space, Monster integration, Soul connection,]

Noah glanced at the silver screen, merely acknowledging it. For now, he needed to bring Erolia from the chains of death. The only way he could do that was through the essence that ran through her body but originated from him.

Placing his hand on her beastly body, Noah allowed silver essence to pour out of his figure after dispersing the swords of light.

The moment he did that a beastly sigh left her mouth and she fell unconscious while the essence placed her in a cocoon. She was connected to the child of Speed. The speed forces energy would do all it could to repair her.

Noah activated his soul space on her huge figure and watched her body turn into a streak of resplendent cerulean light that entered the white crack that appeared on his chest even though Muliix still existed on his skin.

That space was a dimension only his pet could access, and it cost nothing to put her inside.

Sweeping his gaze on the destruction around him, Noah noticed the clouds high in the sky disappearing since their creator had been subdued.

He ascended into the sky to study the descriptions of the skills.

[Pet cultivation: Being the owner of a pet you are capable of forcefully cultivating the power of your pet. Pet owners can only increase their pet’s strength until they reached their potential. Cost of essence depends on the pet’s potential]

[Soul space: Every pet owner desires privacy with his pet. A unique skill that turns a portion of the owner’s soul into a space capable of housing his pet which is also a soul bond]

[Monster integration: The topic of a bond between master and pet remains a great mystery. What more height is there than the bond and the master becoming one? When activated, the master and pet undergo a phase of becoming one, in both spirit and body. This drains both bond and master if energy is not available]

[Soul connection: An innate connection between the master and the pet, allows for unrestricted communicative abilities]

Most of the listed abilities had no connection to energy cost. Noah could understand the cost required for making his pet grow in power. He also understood the cost of becoming one with his pet.

The most drain would be on him because the master was the one borrowing energy or power from the pet, depending on how strong the pet was the master or owner would have issues possessing its power.

But Noah wasn’t any ordinary master. His status as a dark Speedling was proof enough that he had enough stamina to access a significant amount of his pet’s power.

Many pet owners needed time and required steady training to go through a phase of unlocking their pet’s powers, but upon their full bonding, Noah gained access to all its abilities, even if he could not use them until initiating the integration. That was enough.

He would let Erolia heal for the time being. He needed to sort things out with his guild. If they proved difficult then he would not render his help to them.

Noah disappeared from the damaged environment in a white light–appeared within the cultivation room–then returned to the guild’s prison room. Where the chains immediately latched unto him again and he sat, waiting for the arrival of his masters.

They came quickly. A tier 5 aura filled the world around Noah and he felt a certain mental wave grab hold of him and apply pressure on him.

“I am not at fault. I had announced my intentions from the beginning,” Noah spoke even when that pressure applied itself on his mind.

The door flung open and only grand elder Ezra revealed herself. Her gaze remained cold and her mouth refused to open to speak. Ateast yet.

“What are you?” She questioned long since sensing the difference between him and humans. Noah’s very nature spoke differently from what she was used to. He wasn’t even a magical beast.

“A being beyond the knowledge of this world,” stated Noah.

“What does that mean?” She frowned, already annoyed. Noah had been left to do what he wanted, but only because they had somehow trusted him to return. Which he did. Even now, she only felt angry due to the fact that she knew her power couldn’t keep him in place.

If he could escape once then he could do it again.

“It means even if I explained you still won’t understand,” he shook his head uttering those words without the least bit of hesitation. Noah’s revelation threw Ezra back. How could he say such? Did he know what she had seen in her long life?

Still, he was right. She had never felt such a presence before in her life. He spoke the truth, even if it hurt her. Especially more when he revealed that reality with such a lack of emotion.

“You better begin an explanation, or you risk defying the oath you bear,” she threatened, already on her last legs.

“The oath can’t hold me anymore. The least it could do is destroy my heart. One of them,” he shook his head in dismissal.

“I’ll speak when It’s on my terms. If not I’ll leave the guild. You’ll regret such since I’m the strongest expert you have in the fourth tier,” he explained equally as emotionless as he began.

“You speak big words, young man. If I can even call you that.” Grand elder Ezra barely knew what to do. His words were too arrogant for someone his level. The news would soon reach them, however. A certain large event had occurred and a whole base of the Order had been wiped out.

“They are the truth,” Noah announced. “I am too valuable to this war for you to dispose of me,” He explained.

“We’ll see that for ourselves.” She countered. “You will be pitted against the best of the bests in the fourth tier. You even know a few of them. If you survive then we’ll let you officially re-join the guild. If not, they have the authority to execute you on the spot,” she explained with coldness in her tone.

“Bring whatever expert. I’ll make them subject to my great power.” Responded Noah, and he felt the chains binding him instantly set loose.

One thing he liked about the people of Cregar was their efficient method of solving matters by displaying one’s power. And power he held in great quantity.
