Chapter 518 518. DEFLECTING
Noah glanced up at the sky. His eyes pierced the distance to land on a huge bird shining in the skies. The temperature was plunging again and the environment moved quickly to cloth the sky with a new cloud.
Noah helped with that event. He disliked the sunlight after experiencing the shade of those cold clouds.
The regions grew darker by the seconds, but only a cloud formed. Noah set his eyes on his pet and saw that its eyes blazed with all three of those grand lights while its feathers featured all three colors but glowed a silver light with it.
“Do I have to fight it?” Noah scratched his head, questioning the system while blocking the now high-pitched sound the bird released, causing clouds to form.
How It could generate both rumbling and high-pitched sounds remained a topic of curiosity in his mind.
“Fighting is not necessary. But it depends on your preferred approach. Taming a wild beast usually requires force. But don’t forget all you’re trying to tame is a confused scared girl.” The system’s words were straight to the point and allowed Noah to reach a new understanding.
“I understand. Thank you.” He revealed ascending into the sky.
The spectacular-looking bird caught sight of his figure. The connection between them grew stronger and stronger, but it only saw him as an enemy so it shot forward.
Noah’s eyes darted in multiple directions, noting the sheer speed his pet was capable of achieving rather casually.
His instincts tingled when it finally reached him.
The thunderbird had grown in size, reaching a stunning 50m in only height. Its wingspan being capable of entirely covering Noah’s view of the world.
So when that huge figure appeared in front of him, it couldn’t be more noticeable.
Noah felt a violent gaze land on his shoulders, but he didn’t care. He formed a fist, shot up above the beast, and planted a punch on its head.
The world rumbled as the sound of metal crashing against metal filled the skies. The beast disappeared regardless.
Noah revealed an unfeeling smile at that event. He had felt a bit of resistance when his fist touched his beast, meaning it was already durable enough to not instantly die from his punch.
A huge crater formed when its descending figure reached the ground. A cloud of fog rose due to the unsettling of snow in the area.
The next second a genuine roar reached Noah’s figure. The skies instantly turned dark and multicolored lights flashed from that dark mass.
A bolt of lightning fell on Noah’s body and he plunged to the ground. Unable to take that power head-on.
Pain reached Noah’s mind at that event. His pet was already able to hurt him with its attacks.
Another huge crater formed when he touched the ground, but he had no chance to rest since the lands around him fell into chaos.
A violent whirlwind that transformed into genuine gales was birthed. Their numbers reaching tens.
Noah was caught up in one of those masses and felt the power rip through his clothes and create white marks on his recovering skin.
He was tossed around from mass to mass until the bird could stand and fly toward him with horrendous speed. Speed boosted by the fact that speed essence now ran through its body.
Noah saw the huge whirlwind he was caught in abruptly disappear. His instincts reacted negatively to that event as he saw golden objects reach his line of sight.
The Thunderbird was a beast of great power and might, but one of its many features was the golden talons it was capable of retracting and revealing. Its beak was also golden and its feathers could become genuine weapons.
With each flap of the beast’s wings, the sound of thunder reached Noah’s ears, but since it could shoot many kilometers before needing to flap again, it was only a bit consistent.
“I need to get this over with,” Noah muttered watching golden sparks run across his body from the talons the bird held him with.
Merely a second had passed since his pet had caught him in its grip, but Noah could already feel those sharp objects pierce his skin. It could shred his body if care wasn’t taken. 𝚘𝚟𝚕.t
Appling his strength on that vice-like grip, Noah felt the beast descend until it made his body dig through the ground, in an attempt to stop him from struggling.
The event truly was distracting, but Noah wasn’t any normal expert. He felt not an ounce of pain from the event, only that dirt got on his face.
Further flexing his arms, he caused cold mist to seep out of his body with the same intensity as his icicle beam.
The bird released a high-pitched scream and let him go due to the pain and cold it felt. Its legs had almost been turned to ice.
Noah smashed and bounced on the terrain spreading craters. But before all that force could run out he managed to land on his feet and sprinted into the air.
His figure instantly arrived before the massive beast.
Noah grabbed it by its multicolored feathery tail and hurled it toward the ground.
Raising his hand, he muttered the words for a lightning bolt and watched a silver triangle unfold above him.
The magical triangle discharged its energy an instant later. Silver light flooded the world and the roaring of a huge mass of pure electricity disquieted the regions.
Noah’s attack landed on the huge bird below, but to his inexistent astonishment, it raised its wings to completely deflect that electrical mass.
The lightning bolt fell on a distant hill and brought it down in an instant.
“Its feathers are capable of deflecting lightning bolts.” Muttered Noah. Watching the beast shake off the chunks of snow and bits of earth on its body.
It raised its head towards him, unfolded its wings, and voiced a sky-shaking roar.
The beast flapped its wings once and the sound of thunder shook the ground spreading huge cracks everywhere.
With that single acceleration, the mighty beast of immense pride reached his small tiny figure. Noah remained in position, however.
His eyes beamed silver lights but his gaze felt steady.
“Erolia,” He called out calmly. That simple word stopped the huge beast dead in its tracks and Noah watched his pet tremble when its gaze met his.
