Chapter 502 502. LUNATIC
Noah followed Nora’s track while the four others flew from behind him. They still didn’t trust him. More so, only fools spout the words he had revealed. He was bound to be trouble and they would be ready to end him when such happened.
Nora remained silent as they passed the barrier and entered the city. They reached lower altitudes and the eyes of the many individuals within that city fell on them.
Tier 4’s were normally unnoticeable by lower leveled experts but since the sound barrier shattering was an event too loud to miss, they could look up to see the different individuals in the sky.
Noah inspected the structures that began to stand higher than him, but he soon lost interest in those normally advanced buildings. He was capable of bringing them down without much effort. There was no need to focus on them.
The air within the city was tense. Noah’s instincts could feel it. He only remained uncertain whether or not that was how things were all the time, or because of the event that was soon to happen.
“I see you’ve noticed the tense atmosphere,” Nora commented utilizing her mental waves. She had seen his eyes on the world below them. Their tension was all too noticeable.
Noah nodded in response, his gaze never leaving the world below. He knew not where they were headed.
“We had announced the situation immediately after the message from the elves had arrived. They deserve to know the trouble about to befall them,” Nora explained, the softness of compassion in her eyes.
If Noah could feel guilt, he would feel a whole lot at that point. Unfortunately, he couldn’t. Still, he had decided to help as a form of goodwill. Or taking responsibility for his actions.
Their flight was steady and less erratic, but Nora sped up at some point and they reached a tall black building.
Five presences existed within it and they exuded distress. It would seem only Nora had her spirit up.
In truth, they found no way out of that event. Only death awaited them. The elves were powerful, and although Nora remained a really powerful expert, she had clear limits.
She was the strongest, so she expected experts of the same power level to appear. What a hopeless situation it was.
Still, the man, or if she could even call him remained unfazed by the obvious issue in the air. His calmness even with a lower cultivation base shook her. She actually found it hard to reveal her distress.
Nora brought them into the building and the gazes of the five tier 4’s fell on Noah’s stunning beauty. They froze for a second taking a moment to inspect that beauty.
By the gods!
“Who is he, Nora?” One of the five experts frowned, his tone struggling to grapple with whether or not he was to be annoyed or shocked.
“Help,” Nora stated, her countenance already fallen.
Her words brought a wave of shock.
“Help?” The blue-haired man exclaimed in a mocking tone.
“I see you’ve already given up on straightening things out. We did nothing to break the rules. A random human causing trouble isn’t our issue!” He had lost his cool.
“Wait… Is he the random human?” The man was quick to conclude and seeing Noah nod took him by surprise again. He flared afterward.
“Do you know what you’ve done!” He yelled stepping closer even if Nora stood in his way. She did so not because he could hurt Noah, but rather the opposite.
“He acknowledged his actions and has volunteered to help,” Nora explained trying to relieve the tension in the room. She could feel the others getting angry.
She understood them. Even she wanted to push the blame on the man in an attempt to escape from the doom of their situation. But his words although spoken lightly had gripped her.
“What more could help could he add? He should be the one out there facing whatever monstrosity they would bring out,” the expert glared at Noah, even if his fear gripped him for doing it.
The truth was he was only putting up a front. The moment the beautiful man entered an unsettling feeling arose.
More shocking that he was a middle staged cultivator.
“I could do that, but I have no idea the number of individuals would be deployed or even monsters,” Noah revealed causing the room to fall silent.
His words took Nora by surprise again. Heck, the entire room.
“What the fuck is he saying, Nora!? You’ve gone ahead and brought a lunatic into our midst!” The expert’s eyes were wide from exasperation as his face twisted from the same emotion. His words and tone were filled with deep sarcasm and mockery.
Never in his life had he heard such bold words.
Did this young man know who the elves were? Their forces were incredible. The average elves considered within the middle stage would wipe the floor with two moderately middle staged humans.
Not to begin with their pets. He had seen their pets in full display. The violence those freaks of nature displayed was none like he had seen. 𝐞𝐨𝘃𝐞𝐥.
Only rabid creatures were that violent, yet they were considered pets.
Nora sighed shaking her head. She felt not an ounce of offense from Julio’s words. He had always been rather wordy. But Noah’s words on the other hand almost made her burst into laughter, and smack his head.
She felt like whatever power he had, had clouded his judgment.
Noah remained silent at Julio’s words and tone. He understood the man’s situation. And he had no right to desire revenge. He had put them in that situation. Still, he would show the mere humans before him the power of his specie.
“That’s taking it too far. You’re a middle-stage expert, compose yourself. Or do I have to remind you of the weaker one,” Nora spoke, her tone dropping until it made the room feel cold? Noah felt nothing, however.
Julio’s frown softened at that point, but he still snorted and tried to storm out.
“We should cast him before the elves as a sacrifice. I doubt his power would even amount to anything,” Julio spoke as he approached the exit of that grey-painted room.
Nora frowned but said nothing as she watched him move.
“I can fight you to prove my prowess before the real battle,” Noah suggested still calm-toned and the room went silent again.
“What the fuck man!?” Even Nora felt forced to comment vulgarly.
