Chapter 479 479. DARK SPEEDLING
“This is more than I expected,” Noah’s calm voice boomed forth in the area. Something had changed in the way he spoke. He sounded both calm and troubled.
“Dark Speedlings, huh? Ironic isn’t it,” Noah sat on the shiny silver throne. His figure on the throne remained regal and beautiful.
According to the immense memories, he had gained, he learned that Dark Speedings were the highest types of Speedlings.
Only the nine descendants and the progenitor himself were termed Dark Speedlings, but ironically Dark Speedlings had pure white bodies. Such as Noah did.
His figure; were he to stand would reach a height of 3m. His arms and legs were symmetrical, just like that of humans. Hence, his humanoid nature. But Noah knew he was far from a human.
His memories of Ersha allowed him to instantly understand the various things he could do with his body. But he had one limit. And that was none other than his low power.
Many things were unclear due to the fact that his mind remained unable to process those thoughts as they existed in realms even higher than the seventh tier!
Accessing them would require him to enter a state akin to his cultivation. He could injure himself were he to try too much.
Notwithstanding, he had enough info about Speedlings and the universe as a whole. .
He trembled inwardly.
Some things existed in the cosmos he had never thought about. Things that were far more terrifying, that even the Speedlings struggled against them
“Do you see where we come from? There are many things I understand you’ll be unable to reach. But as you advance in power you should be able to access those memories,” Ter explained, back to his seriousness.
Noah made no response. His eyes were closed and his sitting figure continued to palpitate with power.
Golden markings and runic symbols of the ancient ran across his pure white skin.
Speedlings were rather athletic in body frame. But their bodies remained compact with apparently five layers of skin compressed with the help of the speed force. Dark Speedlings however had seven of such layers allowing them impeccable defense.
Four golden horns rose out of Noah’s head like a crown, and truly they served as such. But those horns also had their use battle-wise.
His eyes were blazed with three different lights, silver, white, and gold, His hands were armed with six fingers capable of unveiling golden claws.
His new form had no resemblance to his human form. His face was pointed, almost draconic. It looked humanoid, but its features were pristine and ancient, Especially with the horns.
Dark speedlings lacked genitals. And for this reason, they had not procreated, only formed other beings out of their core. Royal Speedlings however were capable of procreating.
Most of his features were armed and dangerous, allowing for many innate abilities. He wondered if the system would record them.
Speedlings were also capable of utilizing all kinds of elements. They didn’t even have to have an affinity for it. They could simply learn it!
Another detail that left Noah completely stunned Noah was the fact that Speedlings didn’t even usually run as he did.
A new level of understanding had come with Ersha’s memories.
“Speed in all aspects,” Noah muttered, but the essence around him generated his voice and let it spread in the realm.
“Yes,” Ter explained appearing before Noah’s sitting figure.
“Speedlings advance through the ranks as their understanding of speed increases. It’s our only goal, and it’s all we need to decimate our opponents.” Ter explained.
“But it got her killed,” Noah stated.
“I have become part of your specie, but it is not enough according to what I remember. Far much more is required. More power. More understanding. Your speedlings have stayed on one path for a long time. It was your downfall.”
“You became predictable. Speed in all aspects. So a counter was found. The entirety of that galaxy under your control was wiped out.” Noah had fallen into a trance.
“This is all I can access currently,” he opened his eyes.
“It is already more than expected,” Ter replied.
Silence befell the duo at that point. Noah had become a Dark Speedling. He was also officially in the fourth tier, but the large chunk of power was still kept with the system.
He knew what he had to do. He wasn’t in a rush, however. He understood why the speedlings were hunted down. He was the last one now.
The heir of the god of speed. He had already figured that Ter was also the Progenitor of the Speedlings.
He needed time to process his findings. To test out his power and deal with the beings in Cregar.
Thankfully he would be returning far more powerful than before.
Noah’s aura suddenly flickered during his series of thoughts.
A tinge of weakness filled him and his figure exploded into a huge wave of steam.
The essence that had arrived as a result of his transformation returned into the realm and Noah’s figure plunged to the ground. Unconscious.
He had limits in that form. It drained his life force.
Noah crashed on the ground and proceeded to sleep for a few months. The reason for this was that his life force unlike wounds was the very thing that kept him alive. He needed time to replenish that invisible force.
Opening his eyes, Noah sat up. His eyes had returned to their silver color, but in his human form, he felt weak.
“I believe there’s not much you need from me now. You know the mission you have as a Speedling. The last one. It’s inscribed into your very instincts,” Ter started.
“Although there are many things I can tell you. I’d prefer you learn them from the system yourself. Like the nature of your new body. The new abilities being a tier 4 allows and so on. I’m certain those memories already contain a significant portion of those memories.”
“What about the other inheritances,” Noah asked.
“You’ll have to become tier 5 to handle another one,” Ter replied calmly.
Noah nodded. He didn’t find that requirement a difficult thing now that he had memories of a person literally eras in age.
“I’ll reach it as quickly as I can,” he announced.
Ter nodded. “The things promised when you become tier 4 shall be given to you by the system,” Ter had started to float, and the entire realm was already experiencing a shaking.
“Always be on guard. Thankfully you’re not strong enough to get noticed by the real enemies. Things will change when you reach the seventh tier, however. So be prepared.”
“On that note, I bid you farewell. My heir. May the blessing of Speed be upon you,” Ter nodded before waving his hand.
A crack opened in the fabric of space at that event and he stepped into the white crack before disappearing.
Noah watched that event and thought about how lonely that place was. He swept his gaze on the realm and waited for the system.
Not a moment too late, myriads of triangles expanded before him. It created a portal and he stepped into it.
