Chapter 473 473. CHAMBER OF DEEP TIME
Noah opened his eyes to the white nature of the cultivation room. His entry was frantic and his eyes were wide open. He felt both speechless and mortified.
He had never expected that end for all eleven of his group. Madison. Bon. He shook from the sheer abruptness of the event. Nevertheless, he couldn’t mourn or anything.
He hadn’t gotten close enough to allow that. Still, it had ruined his mood. Badly even.
He sat on the ground for whole minutes wondering what to do next. Three tier 5 cultivators had attacked them. By all means, he shouldn’t be alive. What would he say happened?
That singular event might have completely ruined his life. He trembled.
He considered returning to the guild. But he figured he would be too weak to do anything or escape properly if needed. He wanted to return a nonsuspect. He would need more power.
This obviously meant he would wait for the remaining hours to run out and undergo his advancement. He believed it could take a few weeks. But at least he would be better off with that type of power.
The wait began at that point. But he got anxious. An hour passed. Then two hours. He figured whatever had happened in the outside world would have calmed down by then.
But for good measure, he waited the third hour before, albeit begrudgingly, he stepped out.
Noah didn’t last three seconds before returning.
His gaze was dim. And his expression was bland. Noah had stepped out clean but now his clothes were almost completely gone. His face was covered with a black substance Char. His skin featured patches of badly burnt portions.
His hair had been completely burnt off. He bled from most places on his body. His nose dripped blood from the toxic air he had breathed in.
Deep pain reached Noah’s mind, but he lacked the presence of mind to give them his attention. His thoughts were in disarray.
It would take him a bit to finally get everything under control.
Destruction.
Noah had opened his eyes to a burning world.
It looked like a major cataclysmic event had occurred. Everything was in flames. Noah would not leave his cultivation room after that point.
It took him a while to heal. But those two seconds replayed in his mind. The power of tier 5 cultivators. It shook him.
All eleven of those bodies were gone. He would even be more suspicious. Noah found no way out of the interrogation.
Surely they might not blame him for that destruction. But questions on how he escaped would rise.
A deep sigh exited Noah’s lips. He had changed his clothing and was back to normal. After those hours of thinking. He had concluded that there were bigger events at hand.
So much so that tier 5 beings were being moved! He was underpowered. And the deaths of the royal children further proved that power was the only thing that could qualify a person in anything.
Not even their status as descendants of high ranking families had been enough to help them.
His mood plummeted again. Maybe a mix of anxiety and fear.
With only about 7 hours till the pending state left, Noah did nothing but sit and think.
The anxiety about his advancement had disappeared. Now he felt like he needed a major level up, or he might truly die.
Since there was nothing to do, he played about with his control over the speed essence. He barely ran these days. Or had not needed to, because of the mount.
Each time his thoughts strayed to that topic he felt fundamentally bad. It reminded him of the death of Erolia and her family.
He wondered how the group that escaped was doing. His golems. They were probably destroyed or something. But he had been equally as strong as he was now, so only tier 4 beasts or beings would have been able to achieve such.
He hoped they were okay or something.
The hours continued to pass and Noah could only do as much as think. Boredom was immense. His eagerness grew as the hours flowed.
And finally, his moment arrived.
[Pending state has been lifted]
[Entity <Noah> will now be teleported to the designated realm]
[Processing….]
[Processing complete]
[You will be teleported to the Chamber of Deep time]
Shock. Confusion.
“Eh…” He muttered wondering what was going on.
Merely a few seconds after the panel appeared. A weird-looking magical circle containing more than six inner circles unfolded before him. .
However, rather than apply itself on him. Its white radiance intensified until an explosion of what felt like pure essence flowed out.
Noah’s figure ended you being flung away by the event. But rather than experience pain. His body rejoiced.
A sense of refresh-ness filled his being. He felt like he had gotten stronger on the spot
[Step in]
A shining white panel appeared in his eyes. And his gaze fell on the circular rift in the folds of space.
The lights within it bent and twisted. But its structure was stable.
Noah knew he would be okay since it was the system. But he felt nervous anyway. Things weren’t going how he expected them.
Standing before the said portal, Noah closed his eyes and stepped into it.
The fold of space applied a strange pulling force on his body, and to his shock, he felt and saw his body break down into tiny particles that flowed into the blinding white tunnel before him.
His consciousness went dark before he could properly react.
Noah opened his eyes in a weird location.
It took him a few seconds to properly regain focus, and when he did he managed to sweep his gaze on his surroundings.
“Where am I?” he felt forced to mutter.
His new location was completely blank. At least in terms of items and structures. His surroundings weren’t.
The sky looked like a mix of colors, but they were mainly purple in radiance. The sky and the spherical shape of that place seemed to be made out of a misty substance; purple in color.
The ground was metallic, but also rocky. It was weird in short.
A strange event pulled his attention from those details, however.
A white crack opened in the very fabric of space before him, and an instant later a hand burst out, followed by the entirety of the individual’s body.
The person was tall, and they shone with an oppressive white light. But he was completely unaffected by it. He only knew because the purple in the environment fled at that light.
“It’s been a long while my heir. We have a lot to do before you finally enter the realm of terrible power.” A male voice rang out from the tall figure. He sounded excited.
