Chapter 410 410. DEMONSTRATION

Noah felt stunned beyond reason when her words eventually sank in. His eyes finally understood what he was looking at. .

“How are these my daggers?” Noah asked inspecting the objects that lay on Riveta’s palms, they were nothing compared to what his daggers or dagger looked like before. How did she even make two? He wondered

The daggers still had dark blades, but their hilt now featured deep-orange metallic attachments that had been carved in certain ways. The similar carvings that made the handles looked like they would help him grip the daggers better.

Not only that, the black curved blades had many deep-orange shining lines embedded into their very material, and they not only felt hot from merely looking at them, but they still radiated the withering power he had grown used to.

Now that he focused more on the different details, he could see that at the tips, and non-jagged edges of the daggers were purple and orange lines that radiated intense sharpness.

He swore they could cut him if he stared too much. And they actually did.

Noah found his chest and arms suddenly turning into a bloody mess when Riveta moved the daggers too much.

His figure shrunk back in deep pain and it took him a few seconds to heal, but his clothes had become rags pretty quickly.

“I apologize,” Riveta pleaded, storing the items and moving closer to Noah to help him up since he had fallen.

“I ended up upgrading them until their power touched the peak of the middle stage.” She revealed, and Noah almost choked on the blood that he had tried to swallow.

“I swear I only meant to check out its making,” she explained sounding truly sorry. Not what Noah expected from a tier 5 individual.

“Can you de-upgrade it?” Noah asked still shocked by the new power of the daggers.

“I’m afraid not. If I touch it I might accidentally send them to the peak of the fourth tier. At that point, you’d die if you touched it.”

A deep sigh that contained shock and marvel exited Noah’s lips. He felt like blowing up in anger, but he was reminded of the person he was talking to.

He should even be grateful she apologized.

“No worries,” Noah announced looking at the bright side of the situation.

“At least now I have a tier four weapon… even if it can kill me by just being in its presence,” his expression sank at the dark turn, but another sigh washed away his negative feelings.

Riveta remained silent at his words, but his next words made her talk.

“What can they do now?” Noah asked finding it useless to brood over the event. But there truly were bright sides.

That situation honestly worked well for him since he would soon be tier 4, and having a tier 4 weapon would be awesome.

“I managed to add a new ability to its withering ability, and that is of course heat,” Riveta’s expression lit up when she began her explanation.

“I embedded green mana stones into the dagger since surprisingly, it could take different types of energy, even soul energy-” She paused realizing that she had said something she shouldn’t have.

“Soul energy?” Noah asked already ready to probe if she let him, but then she narrowed her eyes and he immediately knew what she meant.

“As I was saying, now your daggers; which I had made two by breaking the first one, have gained the ability; Combustion. Not only do they siphon the energy within bodies, they now force the body’s energy to manifest into fire and destroy it quickly. But no energy is lost. Everything is reabsorbed into the daggers.”

“You can also make them burst into flames to make attacks more effective.” She explained.

“There are a few more things but those are the basics. It’s only sad that you won’t be capable of using them for a long while,” she shook her head in pity. If only she knew Noah had long since decided he would take them.

“I can show you a demonstration, however!” she announced, and Noah watched a blue light wrap around their figures and they disappeared from the room.

Noah opened his eyes in a wide circular room, featuring three presences and they were all within the fourth tier.

His eyes fell on beasts within cages made out of inscriptions. The very room seemed to be made for that function. But it was spectacular nonetheless.

“I feel like you’ve planned for this,” Noah revealed his thoughts after losing interest in the plain room.

Riveta ignored him, however, and one of the daggers appeared in her hand.

Noah’s felt his instincts rage forth in fear at that event, and he took many steps backward, even if cuts still appeared on his legs and arms. Thankfully they were shallow as Riveta had held back most of the dagger’s power and had done the same in the room.

Noah saw the huge black and grey rats in the cages become agitated at the appearance of the dagger.

A weird heat unfolded in the entire room and Noah found that the layer of coldness his body usually had could not defend him from it.

“This is the power I added to them,” Riveta announced softly, pointing the dagger at one of the rats, and throwing it at it.

The blade traveled the distance between her and the said target in an instant and struck the huge rat on its left arm.

The terrified beast voiced a high-pitched screech at the event, but Riveta protected Noah from its power.

A foreboding feeling appeared in Noah’s mind at the sight of the thrashing animal, but things changed when a deep orange light suddenly flashed, then the beast’s whole figure caught deep-orange flames an instant later.

It had happened only a few seconds after the rat had been struck, and had been so instantaneous that Noah’s figure literally jolted in shock. Deep chills ran down his spine at the terror-inducing screams of unimaginable agony the creature experienced.

Its suffering didn’t go past five seconds and it simply became a pile of ashes that quickly degraded into literal nothingness. The dagger had left no trace of the tier 4 beast!

The combination of withering and burning was a match that continued to send shills down Noah’s spine. But not only from fear and reverence, but also excitement.

“Fuck,” Noah muttered switching his gaze between Riveta, the empty cage, and finally, the dagger which she had brought back to her hands.

“My potential assets might have just become overpowered,” he muttered, still keeping a safe distance from her. The screams from the rat still rang in his head.

His body wouldn’t even allow him to move closer to her, now that he had seen what the daggers were capable of.

“That was one heck of a demonstration!” Noah remarked pulling Riveta’s attention to himself.
