UNLIMITED SPEED

Chapter 390 390. EFFICIENCY

‘This isn’t good,’ Noah thought dodging a series of lightning bolts that shot out of the hollow’s stretched arm.

“I might have given this thing more power,” he muttered evading the electrical discharges while drawing nearer. He had to be sure that his plan would allow him to attack the thing, so when he arrived before the hollow’s now glowing yellow figure, he executed the first form before it could send another bolt of electricity.

Joy reached Noah’s mind when he felt his fist and dagger hit something, enough for him to send it flying.

Noah had to jump backward however since many silver arms shot towards him ready to kill him.

Creating distance between them allowed him gain clear visuals of how much damage he had dealt on the hollow.

A wide smile appeared on Noah’s face at the scene he laid eyes on, and he got a morale boost that allowed him to shoot forward again while creating a small army of fifty frozen golems.

His attacks had removed the monster’s arms and shaved off a chunk of its lower body.

The thing couldn’t move now, and it lay on the ground disabled. Containing energy had now made it prone to the weakness that not having proper legs could cause.

Noah shot forward after making his golems cause a big enough distraction for him to jump through the ranks of the creatures and reach his first target.

His figure sped past the creatures unhindered, his golems were more than five times their number, so hopefully, they would hold them down a bit.

Noah arrived before the hollow and executed the first form on it again.

The ground shook, the wind picked up, and the cry of pain for the first time since their encounter erupted out of the mouth-shaped crack that had opened on the creature’s deformed face.

Noah felt his fists and dagger dig into the creature as its skin was surprisingly dense and sturdy.

His fists began to increase in speed and the power he poured out spiked, in a few seconds he would achieve his goal, but he had to take note of the other hollows around him.

Thanks to his golems being of elemental properties, most of them had been absorbed and now the hollow’s featured icy capabilities.

The temperature of Noah’s immediate environment plummeted, and ice spread beneath his feet before multiple spikes sprung up rapidly.

Noah had to leap upwards, run along the wall of grass around him before returning to the ground a moment later.

Although not all of them had completely transformed, he didn’t want to rely on his spells since they would only give them more power. This was mostly because all of them had a significant portion already transformed with most featuring no silver spots.

Right before he arrived on the ground, Noah quipped one of his other weapons, since his dagger didn’t seem efficient against them.

A deep-purple object appeared in place of his bare hands as he revealed the Clawed gloves. He had never used that weapon in a battle, but he figured it would be useful in his fight against the hollows.

Danger spiked in Noah’s mind immediately after his feet touched the frozen ground. All nine hollows had gained the ice affinity, and they let their new abilities run rampant in the environment.

A dense wave of cold mist erupted out of their united front and swept the land area between them and Noah.

Everything turned to ice at that point. Not even the lower portions of the walls of grass were excluded.

Noah already had a solution for that offensive, needless to say, and walls of ice appeared between him and the attack. Fortunately, with his control over ice being superior, he managed to remain safe from the freezing breeze.

His figure shot forward immediately after the danger passed, and a red light could be clearly distinguished amid the whiteness of the cold mist sill present in that area.

Noah activated the first skill of the clawed gloves immediately he was close enough to one of the hollows.

[Claws: When activated the gloves reveal their true form; five claws able to tear through even the toughest materials in the third tier]

The fingers of the glove morphed to reveal 7inch silver blade-like claws. Red and purple lines ran across the claws giving them a boost in strength as a connection was already made between Noah and the red gem.

His blurry figure; far faster than the beast could move, arrived before one of them and he didn’t hesitate to perform clawed attacks at it.

Noah felt speed essence leave his core when the claws reached the now-empowered hollow. His claws, however, tore through its material with such ease that he ended up cutting the thing in half.

A cry of pain unfolded in the environment at that point, but Noah was already on his next target.

Another hollow empowered by his ice affinity suffered fatal cuts as his attacks tore it to literal shreds.

Noah managed to deal damage to a second, third, fourth, and fifth hollow before the other four were able to react by giving birth to ice spikes and sending them flying his way.

Noah dodged them with ease, but a moment later and his attention was caught by another event.

The hollows he had killed began to emit a purple-green color before exploding into moving masses of tiny particles that floated and entered Noah’s figure.

A barrage of panels appeared in his eyes after the mass of particles buried his figure in their light.

A refreshing feeling like he hadn’t felt in months filled Noah’s very being at that event. His strength increased, the density of his skin took a few steps forward, and the sturdiness of his soul realm also began to return.

Noah was reminded of addictive an experience leveling up was, and he immediately stopped feeling the fear that had been present in the air.

Setting his eyes on the remaining five beasts, since the one filled with lightning was disabled, Noah bent his knees a bit, took a deep breath, and shot forward with his technique playing in his head.

He had already mapped out a series of steps to maximize his killing efficiency, and that was all he did.

Noah’s figure remained barely visible to the creatures as one by one his blurry outline appeared and left them, revealing how he had turned them into shreds afterward.

In merely a few seconds only one of the creatures was left, and Noah had gone up by two levels bringing his level to 90.

He had already noticed how the exp required to level up had shot up but he didn’t care, he still had a long way to go before he would reach the end of that place.

His now monstrous figure loomed above the disabled hollow. The thing continued to voice cries of pain which were weird since they sounded like erratic bolts of energy bouncing off each other.

Now that he thought to it they made no sound until he had filled them with energy.

“What a weird species of monsters,” Noah muttered rapidly performing a claw attack to deliver a series of blows that ended the beast’s life instantly. π—»π—Όπ―π—ΉοΌŽπ¨π—Ώπ—΄

He didn’t level up this time but that detail had stopped mattering since he had already begun his sprint down that path. He had a maze to finish.
