Chapter 37 37. TIME TO LEARN
Getting out of the room, Noah reviewed some of system messages, he recalled that the system wrote that he was partially connected to the speed force,
‘When will I be fully connected to it”, Noah said inwardly, “How do I even get to the speed force”. Sighing Noah pushed the matter to the back of his head, after all no amount of thinking would give him the solution, “Till tier 4 I guess”, he muttered.
Getting to bar, Noah greeted Peter who called him over. Clearing his throat Peter opened his mouth to talk, “Um, you used a lot of water last night and this morning, and there are charges attached to them”, Peter said not making eye contact with Noahs’
Shaking his head at how predictable humans were, Noah replied, “How much?”, he said bringing out his bag of coins.
Upon hearing what he wanted, Peter replied, “just 3 small copper coins”, he said.
Paying him the amount, Noah left the building. Exiting it and coming out into the open. He once again admired the scenery of the bustling street, there was something in it that scenery that felt nostalgic.
Shaking off the feeling, Noah began his walk to Pascal’s shop, but before he could get there he had to make a quick branch at the restaurant he and James ate at last night, for a quick breakfast of course.
Leaving the restaurant, Noah walked for more than twenty minutes, until he arrived at his destination.
Entering the building, Noah saw Pascal doing some stuff, but when he saw Noah’s figure his expression changed to that of excitement. Before Noah could say anything he talked.
“Welcome. Only a day has passed since you came here last, but you are here again, which means you have something to sell”, Pascal said standing up from his cha??r, getting his tools ready.
“As, a matter of fact I do.” Noah replied with light smile. Without too much talking, Noah walked over to the large space before removing the tier 2 plant Cockrel.
Immediately he did so, Pascal eyes widened, as he opened his mouth to talk, “Where did you find that?”, he asked as he bent down to inspect it’s condition.
Furrowing his brows in confusion Noah replied, “The forest, where else?”. Ignoring Noah’s last remark Pascal replied.
“Do you know how rare plant Cockrels are?”, he said still inspecting it.
Furrowing his brows even deeper, Noah replied, “How rare are they to you?”.
Taking a deep breath, Pascal stopped his inspection, as he raised his head up to look at Noah with a complicated expression, before saying, “I can’t buy this”, he said with a deep sigh.
Raising his eyebrows in both surprise and confusion, Noah talked, “Why?, is there something wrong with it?”, he said perplexed.
Shaking his head, Pascal replied, ” No. Nothing is wrong with it, actually I am surprised by the fact that it is basically in one piece. The problem is that I don’t have enough money to buy something as rare as this”. he explained
“But I know someone who definitely has enough funds to buy it”, Pascal added, as Noah could only stare at him stand up and write something on a paper before tearing it, and handing over to him.
“Here, this is the address, his shop is on the other side of Vonol”, Pascal said while handing the paper over to Noah.
Nodding his head and collecting the paper, Noah stored the Cockrel back in his inventory. “Though at least can you buy some tier 1’s, from me?”, Noah asked.
He wasn’t sure if Pascal referred him to someone else because of kindness, after all Noah didn’t know it’s value he could have cheated him, or because he assumed Noah knew what it was worth.
Nodding his head with less excitement in his expression, Pascal replied, “Let me see them?”.
Walking out of Pascal’s shop, there was a light smile on Noah’s face. He had sold fifteen beasts, which exhausted his stash of magical beasts, but it was worth it, he managed to make 700 coins from them, which was a huge gain, though he couldn’t wait to sell his Cockrel. Thinking of the juicy amount he could get from it, made him want to go there now, but he resisted that urge.
He had to get to the library first, there was bound to be some information on why it was valuable, and he sure didn’t want to be cheated.
He had not asked what the price of the Cockrel was, to not blow his cover.
Walking for more than half an hour, navigating through the busy streets, Noah got to his second destination.
A big four storey building entered his eyes, the building was painted brown and had a sign saying, “Library”.
Getting to the entrance, a woman stopped his entry, her face was that of a middle aged woman, had dark brown hair that reached her shoulders.
Although very little, Noah could see wrinkles on her face, which surprised him, since she was radiating a power in the peak of tier 2.
“Your ID please?”, the woman said. Nodding his head, Noah brought out his ID from his inventory, making it look like he had a space ring, which for some reason surprised the lady.
Handing it to her, Noah watched as her flat expression flickered though just for a second.
Handing it over to him, she opened her mouth to talk. “You should visit the Adventurers guild and have your Power status updated”.she said, opening the door for him
“Ah, thank you”,Noah said, proceeding to enter the building.
But before he entered completely he decided to check the woman’s strength.

[Tier: 2]
[Level: 46]
[Chances of death: 43%]
Nodding his head at the strength of the woman who was guarding the library on the outside, Noah entered the building.
A massive hall appeared in his sight, looking up, he could see that there were four balconies. The hall was lit up with the sunlight, which entered from the series of dome shaped glass cover’s, to probably reduce the heat from the sun. Speaking of heat, the hall felt cool, like it had an air conditioner.
And apart from the short queue of which human voices rang out, the place was dead silent.
From his position, Noah could see that there were multiple shelves of books on each floor of the building, and on the stairs to higher floors, two persons each was standing guard.
Walking towards the receptionists table that had a short queue, Noah waited in line until it was his turn.
“Is this your first time here, or have you been here before?”, the young lady in front of him, said in a flat tone, seemingly unfazed by Noah’s looks.
“I’m new here”. Noah stated, while taking a second to inspect the lady.
She looked like someone in her early twenties, but her cold expression made her look like a hardened killer. She had emerald green hair, which complimented her brown eyes and sharp eye-lines. Over all she was pretty.
Currently she wore a white shirt and brown pencil skirt, though to see that Noah had to glance at the other half of her body, which was sitting on a chair.
He thought of inspecting her power with the system, but he decided against it, from her aura she was atmost in the peak of the lower stage of tier 1.
“There are four floors as you have seen, each floor has different levels of information and spells in them, with the fourth floor having information and spells that most people don’t know exist, but is also the most expensive, coming at 1 small silver coin per hour for reading, while the price of spells vary, but you won’t find anything less than a silver coin in worth”, She explained, still in her flat tone.
While Noah shivered at the price of the highest floor, he wouldn’t be able to access it for a while, but the existence of spells were pleasant, James had not told him about that.
“The first floor, comes at 10 small copper per hour for reading with only tier 1 spells of four common elements are there, while the second comes at 30 small copper per hour with tier 2 spells of the four common elements, the third which gives access to exclusive Information comes at 500 small copper coins and has a range of tier 2 and 3 spells of all elements excluding darkness and light” she added.
“Which would you like sir?”, she said staring at Noah.
A swallowing sound couldn’t help but resound silently from Noah’s throat.
“Incredibly expensive”, was all Noah could think of immediately after her explanation ended.
Pondering on what to choose, he eventually decided on the first floor.
“I’ll take the first floor”, Noah replied.
“For how many hours?”, she asked flatly.
“Just for one hour, since i am new here” Noah said making his bag of coins appear out of thin air. Which caused the ladies expression to flicker.
Noah noticed this, but wondered why she was surprised, Gerald, Pascal, the guards at Vonol’s gate, James and even Peter the bartender, seemed to not have cared about that. Ignoring the matter, Noah paid the fee, which in return the lady gave him a card that pulsed with red lines of Mana.
“If you want to renew your time or have access to higher floors, there is a reception on each floor for that.
Show the guards your card, they will let you in. When your time is up, the card would buzz and you will have three minutes to either exit the floor, or renew it, before the formations attack you. And if you want to purchase any spells take it to the receptionist’s they’ll tell you what to do.” she explained.
Nodding his head, Noah exited the line, and walked towards the stairs, a feeling of excitement building up in his mind. It was time for him to learn new stuff.
