Chapter 334 334. REJOICE
“I see” Elder Von sighed gazing at the pit before him. The figures of Illiana, Wiliams, Noah, and Liam floated beside him, but their gazes were on him instead.
They had each just finished explaining the events that led to the sight before them, but like all of them claimed, they didn’t know exactly what occurred to cause that destruction.
“So what do we do elder?” Liam asked.
“You do nothing while I report this to the guild,” Von replied. “There’s also the issue about the tier 4 cultivator. But that can be dealt with,” he explained.
“Some individuals will have to come check this out so that it can be reported to this area’s master, even if a settlement is far from here,” he continued.
“Are you going to return to the guild for that?” Noah’s voiced a few of his worries.
“Not necessarily,” Elder Von replied. “But I might be required to do so. But since I’ll be taking you to the region that would hold the tournament, I will most likely be exempted from that task,” he explained while his consciousness kept them afloat.
“Would you give me a minute to communicate this to the guild,” Elder Von announced, sending the to the ground, where they stood previously.
The four fell silent at that point while they kept their eyes on the red-haired man in the sky dealing with a few inscriptions.
Truth be told, Noah felt safe with the expert around, his slight fear of the tier 4 cultivator popping up and attacking them had been quenched by Elder Von’s arrival, now he almost prayed the tier 4 bandit showed up. He desired to witness another battle in the fourth tier.
A few minutes had to pass before Elder Von finished whatever he was doing, and those minutes had seen him fly across the entire pit kilometers in radius; scanning it until a holographic display was created.
Truly mana was capable of accomplishing wonders.
“I have good news,” Elder Von announced descending to meet them. “I wasn’t asked to return to the guild so we can immediately begin our journey to the tournament’s location.” A wide smile shone on the expert’s face while his black and red robe fluttered in the wind.
Relief appeared on the faces of the three experts, but Noah had never really been worried, to begin with.
“I have to say though, the guild thanks you for making sure you all turned out safe, even though most of the details aren’t clear,” Elder Von focused on Noah’s figure, surprising him.
“Thanks to the detailed description you gave of the tier 4 bandit, we can say if he ever shows his face again, he’ll end up dying,’ Elder Von added slowly nodding his head.
“It was nothing. I’m glad we’re all safe,” Noah lied through his teeth and Elder Von seemed no notice his hidden reaction.
“Don’t worry, the guild never forgets to reward excellently performing members,” Von chuckled seeing Aiden’s expression flicker with curiosity.
“We shall set out now,” Elder Von announced after a few seconds and the four soon felt his mental waves begin to wrap itself around their figures.
‘I guess we won’t need to do much,’ Noah thought feeling the expert’s powerful consciousness begin to raise him and the others while the Elder Von himself began to float.
“You might want to hold on to your guts,” Elder Von joked before shooting towards a particular direction, opposite of where the river had been.
The man’s acceleration directly shattered the sound barrier as Noah confirmed that his velocity crossed Mach 15.
The scenery below them changed rapidly until everything became a bunch of blurs. Not even Noah could properly make out the details of the environment they flew past. He would require empowerment to achieve that.
Thanks to the expert’s consciousness shielding them from the force of their movement, the weaker experts were physically fine if one removed their issue of wanting to puke.
Unlike Noah, the three had never moved at speeds that quick that long, and soon their stomachs began to protest. Violently.
‘They don’t look too good,’ Noah chucked inwardly; sweeping his gaze across the three of them. Not even Illiana could properly hide her discomfort.
The scenery continued to change until they were out of the forest completely. A vast green prairie unfolded in their sights at that point. The others could see it because Elder Von suddenly slowed down, until he came to a stop a bit higher into the sky, but also close to the surface. .
Their figures overlooked the incredibly beautiful scenery of the prairie. A land area stretching out for miles before them; grew with an abundance of vibrant green grass that swayed graciously in the soft winds that blew across the surface.
With the sun high above them and the various soft hills filling their sights, the view was nothing short of stunning. But unfortunately, they had only given that beautiful scene a short glance before focusing on the issue at hand.
“We have a follower,” Elder Von’s voice rang out in their ears as he turned to face the direction they had just arrived from.
“There’s no need to hide, I’ve noticed you ever since I arrived in the forest,” the elder’s voice boomed out in all directions, but towards an individual the four couldn’t sense pr see.
A snort resounded at that point, and a spot high in the sky flickered to reveal a black sphere.
Even with his eyes on the sphere Noah still couldn’t sense it, meaning it belonged to a realm his senses couldn’t make out.
“Annoying great guild elders,” a familiar voice rang out, followed by the appearance of the tier 4 bandit.
“I have business with one of those younglings, it would be great if you just handed him over,” the expert declared pointing at Noah’s figure while he drew closer.
“And why do you think I would do that?” An eyebrow rose on Elder Von’s face, more curious about the matter than annoyed about the experts words.
“Because if you don’t, I’ll kill you and take him,” the expert announced allowing his blood-lust pour out on the environment tainting the area with a dark hue.
‘Darkness element!’ Noah screamed inwardly as the other concluded on the same thing.
Thankfully, Elder Von’s consciousness protected them form the pressure contained within that aura, even if he knew they had the necklace already doing that, he did it anyway.
“I’m afraid that won’t happen,” Elder Von announced casually shaking his head, even if his aura began to unfold in the area and an oppressive air fell on the prairie, a clash of colors began at that juncture.
“I believe he’s the tier 4 expert?” Elder Von turned to the four, seeing them nod in affirmation he returned his focus to the now motionless expert.
“Rejoice young experts! You’re about to witness a battle between tier four experts. Watch closely!” The elder announced when his power exploded forth from his figure and a third of the prairie’s greenery disappeared, replaced by the color of vibrant blue flames.
