UNLIMITED SPEED

Chapter 314 314. WEEKS

“The second form, like I said, utilizes surge at its core, but that’s not all. You also require all that you know and are capable of doing, to execute it well,” Lady Sarah explained to a cross-legged Noah sitting on the floor of the barricaded court.

She sat in the same posture but was moving more due to her explanation. She had finally decided that they moved on to the second form of the Roiling thunder technique. This, of course, was after he had executed the first form many times in front of her.

“It’s one of the most tasking forms, and I’m sure even you would approve of that.’ She continued. “The key goal of the second form is mainly to overpower your opponent, through the sheer amount of speed you have achieved while also remaining in total control of your movements. I believe you can already see how difficult such would be,” her eyebrows rose while she nodded slowly, giving action to her words.

Noah on the other hand understood all she was saying. He had to admit that he didn’t even feel sure he would be capable of executing the second form. Unlike Lady Sarah, he didn’t work his butt off to gain the level of speed he was capable of. Only with the speed forces empowerment could he do anything spectacular. Remove that and he would be worse than even the average cultivator.

“Your breathing control should be at its max, at least for your level. You should keep eye on how much your body can handle, and lastly, you have to prepare a lot of explosive force inside your entire body, whereas the First form only requires all that explosive force to go into your arms, this time your entire body must explode forth together. You will also have to learn how to maintain that form for more than a few seconds,” she continued to talk, almost putting a frown on Noah’s face.

“It had taken even I a bit more than seven months of grueling training to properly execute it, but during those periods I had crippled myself many times, extending the training time to around a year.” Elder Sarah reminisced.

“I was also a mere middle-stage tier 2 when I began, most of my body couldn’t handle it, so even more suffering was inflicted on me by my teacher until my body could,’ a smile shone on her face at those memories, even if they sent shivers down Noah’s spine. πžπ—Όπ―πžπ—Ή.𝗰𝗼𝗺

“That’s all for now. Let’s begin the process required to properly execute it. Be certain that you won’t be able to execute it today, but I’ll leave you to your practicing after.” She announced standing up.

Noah nodded in agreement and proceeded to do as she said.

Shockingly the second form didn’t contain as many moves as he expected, only that it required him to utilize what he learned in surge on his whole body. Not even his insides were spared.

The session with Elder Sarah lasted about four hours after which she left him to return to the mansion above.

His personal practice began at that point.

Pain never continued to spread within Noah’s mind after that point, and he had to take many breaks to allow his body to recover from the sheer amount of injury his internals suffered, and even his skin.

The first and probably only issue that came with executing the second form was allowing his body to maintain the sheer amount of power required to properly enter the mode that was like Thunder and Flash.

He couldn’t even go past the first execution since the power contained in the stomp should be the same as the one used to move around.

The hurdle more or less continued to astonish Noah, who found his body reaching its structural limits every time he tried to gather the required amount of energy required.

Things changed as he continued to practice however, he realized that it wasn’t that his body couldn’t handle the amount of power required, it was simply that he had no control over the amount of strength poured into his body, that it started to break down.

One would find it surprising that he couldn’t gauge the amount of power needed to execute the form without going overboard, after all, he had spent almost a month learning the dance-like moves that forced him into taking into account how much power each moves required. Even Noah was surprised.

But the difference between the two was the fact that the dance-like moves required him to only focus on specific parts at every point in time. Coupled with his innate ability to process information at an astonishing rate, it eventually became easy. But for the execution of the second form, he had to pay attention to his entire body, which was easier said than done.

Noah had an incredibly quick thinking speed, but even he remained bound by the human weakness of being unable to multitask. He could switch between different tasks really quickly, but that itself wasn’t multitasking.

He had to keep record of every muscle ever organ every simple tendon at the same time while pouring an equal amount of power into them. An astronomical task. But he knew he could overcome it.

Thankfully Elder Sarah told him not to try and imitate her demonstration which took her to levels of stunning speeds. He was only required to be able to move between two points really quickly and it would be considered that he had executed it correctly.

Going further and faster could only be achieved by more practice, but he felt glad that her standards weren’t his. He also had to admit that her skill was incredible to be able to properly execute the second form while still being in tier 2.

Noah continued to practice for days, with Elder Sarah only visiting him once in a while. She continued to give him helpful tips on how to reach the level of mastery over his body required to execute the form, but he had reached the stage where only more practice and experience could help him. And that’s what he did.

It took Noah 5 weeks before he could execute the second form properly for the first time.
